So heads up: if you see the Figpin on it's own this week, it will more than likely scan for a penny like all previous bonuses

Huge week for releases. Definitely picking up WWE 2K19 and Mega Man 11. Thinking about Super Mario Party as well, but Assassin's Creed is going to wait until the inevitable Black Friday sale.

I stopped buying AC at launch after AC Black Flag. Too many glitches, some game breaking, and since it’s always half price a month later I wait now.

Except this time I actually have the gold edition preordered. After they announced AC3 & Liberations were included, plus with best buy GCU involved, getting the gold edition for $88 plus about $20 back in rewards and the art cells, that sold me. I doubt I’ll play it though for a while until all of the inevitable bugs and problems are solved first.

So weird how many AAA releases are out in September this year. Everyone trying to make a mad dash before the titan RDR2 hits in a month.

I hope I don't get chastised for asking this...

Why the hype for RDR2?

I own the first. I own the expansions. I got about halfway through the main game and just couldn't play it anymore. One of the most bothersome things was random people constantly coming up to you as you free roamed. I still have it, just packed away in the attic with the games of yesteryear.

Do you not like other, similar open-world games? If that's the case, there's no explaining the hype to you, because it's just not your thing.

If that's not the case, and RDR just didn't grab you ... see not explaining the hype.

This one looks to be an evolution of such game worlds, though, with promises of NPCs remembering your actions, persistent relationships, dynamic conversations, etc.

Because Rockstar casts a large shadow. Any game released in their window will just be looked over and sent to die.

You must have just not gotten into RDR. Outside of GTA though the Red Dead series is Rockstars heavy hitter and it's been a long time coming now since RDR came out, which is widely regarded as the best game of the last generation.

I can imagine most publishers want to get their games out ahead of it. After RDR2 there isn't much coming out aside from stuff like Smash Bros. Ultimate which will sell regardless of when it is released.

I do enjoy them! I've platinumed every Assassin's Creed including Origins. Watch Dogs, and Far Cry too. Used to love the original GTAs as well, though I never could get through GTA V either, and I've owned it on both Xbox 360 and now PS4. Still never finished it til this day.

Was it the story that had people hooked? It's probably been a decade since I played it, that was a generation and a lifetime ago so I don't really remember it. The only thing I recall that led to me quitting it was the constant side missions and annoyances of people coming up to you. Anything else I don't remember since it's been so long. Hell, I even have the exclusive or special edition with the embossed slipcover!

Lol, dunno, man. I personally enjoyed the story and atmosphere way more than any GTA.

I thought the story of RDR was good but what I personally liked about it was the western setting and the gameplay. I had a lot of fun just exploring the world on my horse.

If I were you I wouldn't bother going back to RDR now though and I would recommend at the very least checking out RDR2. I am sure it'll be all over the place to rent and if you buy it, you'll surely be able to get a decent trade value if you hate it.

I can't bring myself to get WWE on launch anymore when it's a guaranteed BF discount to 30. I can wait 2 months to save half the price.

Are you just a regular WWE fan who picks up the new versions on release day or do you see something good with this years version because I’m an avid fan but I still usually wait till BF to buy it on sale? I know this is supposed to be their biggest roster to date but any other features that look enticing to you.

Unless there is a special figpin for Odyssey, the ones I found today were stocked by the games and ring up $11.99.
