Figured this was a good enough deal for it's own thread. Especially since the console has been hacked to fix some of the emulation issues.

 
Kudos to them for just giving $25 off straight up. Still not worth it, but beats the GC deals floating around.

 
this thing is a giant piece of garbage. just get a ps3 for a similar if not cheaper price and play ALL your ps1 games on that if you really want a console to play them on.

 
Somebody actually hacked the Super Nintendo Classic to play PlayStation games. I saw a video of it on YouTube. I'm not really technically skilled enough to hack my own consoles, but apparently it plays PlayStation games surprisingly well.

 
i’m stuck with a significant amount on a target giftcard. does anyone know if can buy ebay e gift cards with target gift cards and then turn around and buy best buy gift cards with ebay gift cards? i’ve searched everywhere online and can’t get a clear cut answer. eyeballing that tlc 65 6 series at worst buy

Amazon matched it too.  Also, Best Buy has it with a $25 E-Gift card, but still at 99.99.  I wonder if you can buy it at best buy then go for a price match with target/amazon?

I don't own the proper keyboard to hack the PlayStation Classic, and I don't own a PC to hack the Super Nintendo.

Target hasn't let you buy gift cards with gift cards since last year. It kinda sucks. You can get 5% off certain cards with a Red Card, like the Disney gift cards.

You can’t use gift cards to buy other gift cards unfortunately.

Just noticed that myself. Might be stopping by Target later today to try it out. If so, I'm returning the one I purchased from Best Buy.

PM plus Cartwheel successful, 'tis the season to trick employees to go against store policy. I need to research the hack/mod on this a bit more.

Keyboard compatibility is the main issue to get access to the emulator settings plus to run games off of USB drive, only one controller is usable last i read, so no 2 player custom games unless that gets solved, maybe via usb hub or something.

Also not sure if the hardware itself is truly good enough to emulate the games.

I have until 1/24 to decide to return it. Plenty of time to see if it ends up going lower.
