Did you at least get the automated, "We've received your inquiry" email? Maybe they are looking into it and it's just taking a while. Like SpraykwoN said, you should take screenshots of the error message you got to help with your case.
Hold times aside, calling is definitely faster, and they're usually pretty helpful over the phone. Just make sure you get the person's name if they promise you anything.
