PlayStation Hits new titles; Yakuza Kiwami 2, Tales Of Berseria & More In US

Good to see Berseria and the yakuza games become more accessible for people.

No way Dynasty Warriors 9 sold enough copies to be a "Greatest Hit."  That one has to be nothing more than a marketing agreement.

DW 8:XL is the best one. I don't know what KOEI was thinking with open world...

Yakuza 6 was straight cash homies- get it. I need to play the Kiwamis (though I played the originals on PS2 so might skip these) and Zero but I had a ton of fun with 6.

Surprised to see North Star on here... didn't think that series would register a blip.

I’m pretty sure the greatest hits banner has nothing to do with sales figures anymore.

For us CAGs, it seems the "Greatest Hits" label always ends up making the game cost more than it did before it got the label. To most consumers unaware of the deal prices I guess this seems like a markdown from the original price though.

Making something a "Greatest Hit" is just a way to get it back in stores with a new sku that hasn't gone on clearance yet.

In the case of Tales of Berseria, it dropped the digital sale price by 60%. When it went on sale digitally before, it would always be $14.99.

When the GH games go on sale digitally now, they seem to always be under $10, which wasn't the case when they weren't GH unless they were Sony published games that were in console bundles.

I didn't know this but that is awesome. At least we are getting some benefit from this ruse.

I think this is the first time a tales game has gone greatest hits (or equivalent) since Symphonia (which went player's choice)
