Platinum GCN w/ Metroid Prime 69.99, Half Life 2 7.99

Hald-Life 2 seems that it may be an open-box item. Isn't registering the serial number online a requirement to even play the game? These could possibly be useless (unless someone is looking for some replacement discs).

It is required, the last open box HL2 from another place i believe everyone recieved a working cd key, but someone just didnt recieve a cd key.
The GC bundle you linked to was the 2 games 2 controller bundle, they dont mention Metroid. That's $59.99

They have a seperate bundle with GC and Metroid bundle for $69.99 http://www.consumerdepot.com/products.asp?id=26-852
if you look at the link i posted, the op originally stated that the bundle came with the metroid game. consumerdepot changed the link and added a new gc bundle (852"r" as opposed to just 852).

EDIT: i added more examples as further proof that consumerdepot changed the link:

http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/mes...eadid=509975&highlight_key=y&keyword1=metroid
http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/mes...eadid=507858&highlight_key=y&keyword1=metroid
http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/mes...eadid=502273&highlight_key=y&keyword1=metroid
and i'm sure you can find more on sd, bensbargains, etc

each of them state that you get a gc plus the metroid game, but each of the links now lead to the gamecube with 2 controllers bundle.

(not trying to come off as a jerk, just proving that when i originally stated that both deals were "basically" the same, i was correct.)

I ordered HL2 and got it this week, and the disks are mint, it came with a working key, and I couldn't be happier! It's a great deal! Just be aware that SOME people have gotten games without a key, or with a used key. If you get a used key you can have it reset, though, so it's not a big deal.

copy and pasted from steam's website.

"If you need a Half-Life 2 CD-Key to be reset, there is no charge for the service. If it is within 30 days of your date of purchase of a game using a WON CD-Key (xxxx-xxxxx-xxxx format) you may include your receipt to have the $10.00 fee waived."

i've read about 25 pages on this topic (in various forums) before i purchased the 99 cent half-life 2 from consumerdepot. from what other customers have stated, steam knows about consumerdepot's selling tactics and will replace your cd key for free if you buy the game from them. customers have also reported a quick replacement time for the cd key from steam. i would not buy the world of warcraft set from them, but the half-life 2 deal really has no risk involved.

btw, i bought it when it was at 99 cents and the cd key was unused
