go to www.allposters.com and click on the "$1.98 clearance sale" thing on the right to browse the entire selection. if you don't want to sift through the crappiness of 8x10 glossies, "I WANT YOU (to go away)" posters, and a load of other worthless stuff, here's a few varieties tha they have a few of that you can just search for in the field near the top of the page:

-kill bill
-scarface (most are mini posters, though)
-reservoir dogs
-a taxi driver movie review poster
-a ton of simpsons posters
-lots of sports teams/players posters (just search your favorite team or player).
-a few posters for bands like slipknot, stone sour, sum 41, and others...if you're into that sort of thing.

i ordered 4 posters for 7.92 or something, which wasn't too bad, but shipping sucked at another $7.96, so i did a search and found a coupon code for an additional 15% off. just use the code GET15JUNE2004. i ended up getting my 4 posters for $3.75 each after shipping, which isn't too bad, i guess. a free shipping code would have ruled, but i couldn't find one. oh well. the kill bill posters are pretty neat.

off topic, but how are the kill bill movies...i really wanna see them on dvd...i've heard 2 sides...

1. really gory and bloody like mortal kombat: deadly alliance...like blood spills everywhere

2. chick flick style like charlies angels...dont think it's this one tho

so...wut is this about? i think i read that it's about that woman having to kill that bill guy, lol :roll:
 
Kill Bill is as bloody as Tenchu.

I stopped searching the $1.98 clearance on page 100. So far, the only poster that interests me is the Akira one.

i'd have to go with this option, at least for the first one. the fight scenes in vol. 1 are great. sure, the violence is excessive to the point where it's almost funny, but it still rules. vol. 2 is more about the story, and although some people didn't like it because it was too much talky talky and not enough fighty fighty, i thought it was a great and necessary follow up to the fight-fest that was vol. 1. and there is still some pretty good battling in vol. 2, anyway.

i think these are must-see movies. i would say must-own, but since they are going to be releasing like 35 versions on dvd, i've got to figure out which one will be the "must-own" one. regardless, go see these tomorrow. or, you know, soon, at least.
 
wtf...35 versions on dvd...? is vol. 2 on dvd yet? the only kill bill dvd i've seen is vol. 1...how are there so many versions?

o yea, and nice win over the lakers..fear the fro...and billups :D
 
Miramax is planning to release Kill Bill several times on dvd with special features. Its their way of making more money.

i was only exaggerating, but there will be quite a few versions of the film to come out. about 6 or 7 i think, which is still a lot.
 
Can you recommend a cheap ass way to get ahold of some cheap ass poster frames? The ones on that site are a little pricey, unless I'm just not looking in the right place.

i actually just watched it tonight, even though ive had since its release....its now one of my favorite movies...i didnt think id like it because i heard a lot about it being "old style kung fu movie-ish"...and i dont like kung fu movies at all...but kill bill kicks ass

kill bill vol. 2 isn't on dvd yet, but you might be able to find it in some theaters still.

and yeah, i caught the pistons thing. everyone is all excited about it (with their "got rip?" t-shirts and all), and yeah, it is nice that they won, but it would have been nicer if the red wings had won the cup.

Thanks for the heads up thatstoobad. Picked up some Kill Bill's, a LOTR, and a Cowboy Bebop Movie poster (not 1.98!) while I was at it.
 
I think to get the most out of those posters (or even buy them at all) you probably fit one or both of these criteria:

1. You are under the age of 17.
2. You smoke weed and think it's "cool."

i got a few for myself as well...the shipping came to more then the total cost of the posters i bought

in some of my local malls, they have a poster/frame store and they carry some strong hangers with weights for $1.99. sorry, that's the best way that i can describe them, lol! they're basically some cheapy "things" to hang the posters on your wall.

Thanks a bunch. I've never seen one of those but maybe I just haven't paid attention. I'll look around.
