I was thinking about holding a contest for people to submit entries for a CAG theme song. I wanted to post it here and see what everyone else thought? I was going to have the contest run until about the end of May for anyone that wanted to enter and then have a prize for 1st place (haven't decided what yet), but most likely a videogame (I'd make it a good one).

Anyone have any ideas/comments/suggestions about the idea for this contest?

Okay as it stands right now, the contest is running until the end of May (May 31st) and you guys can be as creative as possible to try and record a song (with music) and submit it on here by then.

Currently I've only decided to give a prize out for first place because I think that we may only get 1 good song from this contest.

Here are the current prizes:
1st place: SEALED COPY OF SUIKODEN IV (AS OF 4/12/06)
2nd place: The joy of coming in 2nd!
3rd place: A pat on the back by your imaginary girlfriend!
 
I think that's an awesome idea. I'm going to start on one today.
Speaking of music contests, my band is in one right now with MTVU, where we win a record deal and music video if we win. We made it to the top 25 out of 1,000 bands, so I'm pretty proud. If any of you want to help a fellow CAG out, here's the link:

If we're motivated enough, my friends and I will do a CAG song based off "TNT" by AC/DC with real instruments since we're a damn good band.

I actually wanted a recorded song. So I could play it in my mp3 players & stuff like that. Sorry I wasn't more specific I was just seeing if people were interested in the idea.

EDIT: That song by Jaket is a good example of a recorded song, except I'd rather have a better song than that. I'd like to hear some of the other lyrics that were put on here recorded. I still haven't thought of what I'd give first place, but I'm sure it'll be good.
 
Okay, so I have until the end of May to learn how to play an instrument, learn how to sing, and write a song. Now where is that recorder from elementary school?

This probably isn't what you where thinking when you typed that out but I white boy rapped it out with my crappy mic I got from Amazon for 9 dollars and my copy of Audacity.

I pieced it together out of 2 takes so it isn't the greatest but it is semi-decent for what I was going for. Also it was midnight when I recorded that so I tried to keep my voice down so I wouldn't wake up the family. If anybody wants to put it to music feel free too.

Hey ODD, I think your song has potential (since I think your voice is better than Jaket's). But you do need some music in there to keep the beat.

Maybe people aren't submitting entries because I haven't thought of a prize yet? I've been trying to think of a good one, so far I can only come up with my sealed copy of Suikoden IV that I have lying around. I'm trying to come up with something better than that, but hey no one's really been entering the contest.

BUMP for any new songs? I hope so, I guess no one wants a free game!?! Isn't this CAG? If no one enters the contest with any serious entries then we'll have no winner...has that ever happened? Anyways, wake up and start singing!
