Hostel

yester

CAGiversary!
Finally, i seen this movie (on DVD).
Oh boy, what an awefull movie. Its really a B-Movie.
Its even haunting me in my sleep, that bad it was.

YOU, yourself posted in the other thread just today. Why the hell would you make a new thread? Do you wear a helmet?

I thought this was an F movie. It was basically a porno. Worst movie of teh year IMO. I would much rather watch House of teh Dead or Alone in the Dark 50 times instead of seeing this POS movie again.
Judging by his grammar, yes he probably does wear a helmet. He probably wear kneepads too.
ok.. what the hell. then i don't write anymore... bye
This movie was sick, I've never, ever, ever been bothered by a movie before, but this one freaked me out. The gore was just too much.
are you kidding me? the movie wasnt that sick. they were making it out to be a snuff film or something. that was the only dissapointing thing about the movie, especially after i heard report of people fainting and barfing in the theatre.

Yea... I remember that commercial "SO INTENSE, PARAMEDICS HAD TO ESCORT OUT A VIEWER AT THE SCREENINGS DUE TO FAINTING".

Maybe it was just boredom, and they fell asleep.

How anyone can say the movie was not extremely, and realistically gory is way beyond me. Multiple executions, decapitions, massive amounts of clear uncomprimising torture, eyeball puss, insane amounts of body parts, burning of mutilated corpses, severing of body parts with multiple weapons, crushing of the entire human body under cars and a train, and all with lots of blood and all very very realistic looking.

Then again I'm not one of those types that sits and frequents sites like rotten or banged up, and I'll never understand why people get off on that shit. I've just never been bothered by any horror movie, and I've seen them all. I'm not saying this was a bad movie, not at all, I'm just saying it was highly disturbing.

Because Saw II was way more gory, the worst thing was the guy drilling into the dudes thigh, and they didn't show it.
By the way Hostel 2 is in the works.... that's going to be very interesting.
Awesome. If its at all like the first, I'm in for the win.

do we really NEED two hostel threads? the movie wasn't that good to deserve the extra space on this page.

I returned it to Movie Gallery. When I said, "I'd like to get a free rental and return Hostel," the salesperson said, "Ah, I don't blame you." For the sheer hype this movie received by the outrageous "OMGARD TEHY ALL GETS EATEN DEAD" reviews critics gave it, Hostel was a major disappointment. I felt like I was watching a Girls Gone Wild video, and someone recorded the dull parts of Nightmare On Elm Street halfway through.

How can you say it wasn't gory and disturbing?

1) Torturing comprised roughly 20 minutes of the movie while the other half was of that guy from Carlito's Way playing a Pakistani and pounding some almost-hot chicks.

2) The torture itself was reminiscent of almost every fight scene in Kill Bill, only it was an old german orgasming instead of Uma Thurman.

3) It had that bald guy from John Stamos' new show. End of argument.

4) More of that Icelandic guy's ass was shown than was necessary.

Yes, this movie might've been alright had they not said it was the 'scariest movie in a decade', but with all of the talk of people passing out, I was severely unimpressed. I would've been impressed if the entire movie was about a group of sadists violently murdering people, but there just wasn't enough of it to warrant even three stars.

LOL I just watched this again, and I crack up everytime I see the guy trip and chainsaw himself to death. What a fricken' dumbass... coolest way to ever to die though.. Also when the cart gets stuck on the guy's finger.. thats pretty hillarious as well. It also feel's good to see him run those bitches over and own the guy in the bathroom hitman style.

The dvd has 4 commentarys LOL. When i rented it i only wathed it twice and didnt have time for the commentaries. I also saw it in theaters. Some bitch brought her retarded son to see it. Long story and im tired. Well i think the movie is good. Easy 8 from me. Cant wait for the sequel or too see what else Roth can do.

I liked it, the beginning did drag a bit. I can understand people not liking it, but I don't understand the utter hatred for it by some. Though I do agree the director needs to get over himself, we get it, you love boobs.

My biggest beff with possible the WORST horror movie made was the fact that they dragged tarantino's name through the mud, by being attached to a porn with some minor gory which to me was there ONLY for shock value and nothing else. This is what happens when a dir takes bong hits all night watches saw and then sticks in girls gone wild. Bad SO bad!

I thought it was a great little story. I could see it becoming a cult classic years from now, somehow.

I love this movie, I took it for what it was though. I wasn't expecting an epic story. All I wanted to see was something like saw which IMO that's what I got. If you get sicked or was disturbed by the movie don't just say it sucks or is the worst movie. Yeah it felt like some of the nudity was uncalled for but deal with it. I can't wait for the second part and I hope in the part 2 the gore gets more graphic.
