I'm going to share a little trick for all of you guys' with chipped/scratched discs on how to remedy the problem and cheat the system a little bit. Gamefly discs it seem always come with brand new cases/manuals, but are somewhat chipped, so here's the fix:

Go to your nearest Game Stop and buy the exact same game you just got in the mail from Gamefly, only when they're ringing you up, carry on casual conversation with the cashier. Mention that you're buying the game as a gift for your little brother's birthday somewhere in conversation. Leave the store.

When you get home, swap out the discs, wait 2 days, and then go back to Game Stop. Go to the cashier and mention how you bought the game for your little brother's birthday, but after purchasing discovered that he already has the game. Tell them that you'd like a refund and you're instead going to take him out later for dinner and a movie somewhere. Get your refund and leave the store.

Game Stop used to have terrible used discs, but I've noticed in recent years that the quality of their discs has gotten tremendously better for some reason. Most are much better than what Gamefly is shipping these days. They also have a 7 day return policy on used games, making this a perfect loop in the system to use to your benefit.

Enjoy your 'new' games! :)
Because they're not used games.

This whole post reeks of underage alert.

Were those chips on the XBOX 360 discs? That's the first I've heard about the XBOX discs being chipped as well. I'm glad they installed alright for you, though.
Yeah. Darksiders only had like 1 small one and Lollipop just had a few as well. Last time I ordered from them the games also had some chips but all of them installed perfectly. I'm glad the 360 allows you to do full installs of games that way if a game is too scratched, you will know because it won't install.

Because that's a "loophole" (you said loop, I think you mean loophole). Oh wait, it isn't. It's lying. Get the hell out of here with that bullshit.

ACIII PS3 back in stock

Also: Anyone else who bought ACIII get the red badge "4 extra missions" ps3 version? Or was it random?

Cause I got the red badge one which trades in on Amazon for a dollar more than gamefly so I'm sending it in and bought another AC3 -.- from GF

A dollar is a dollar I guess

I haven't been that hard up for a dollar since I was 5 and really wanted a ring pop... I think flipping is generally pretty silly, but if you're doubling your money I can understand it. If you're clearing a buck... you could work 9 minutes at McDonald's and come out better.

I never said I was hard up for a dollar. Since I'm sending in dead space 3 and making 9$ from that why wouldn't I send in AC3 and make another FREE dollar? I also am a college student working a full time job. Any kind of free money is worth it when you're paying 9k a semester.

I am sorry. Does anyone enjoy alien colonies ?
I and two other friends were able to grab Aliens: Colonial Marines for $10 each the last time Gamefly did a sale. We played through it online and i just traded my copy in at Gamestop for $14.

Enjoy it? Eh...It's alright. As a co-op campaign online it's relatively fun. The game does have a few nods to the movies which show that there was some love of the franchise from the makers of the game.

But, as a game, it's mediocre at best.

Considering that i was basically paid $4 to play the game, yeah, i'd say it's worth it.

Barely worth it though.

....Thanks to the latest restock i was finally able to get LEGO Lord of the Rings and Sleeping Dogs. Got everything i wanted from this great sale. Patience and persistance paid off

Just missed Lego LOTR for X360.  Was in my cart, but got deleted during checkout becasue it was no longer available, after checking all weekend.  At least I finally got Darksiders II.

If I'm not mistaken but didn't Lego Lord of the Rings 360 version had a game breaking bug in it or something that caused it to be unplayable and having to be recalled or something like that?

First time buying a game used from GameFly, got AssCreed 3 for PS3 for 7.95 since I had a 5$ coupon and 5% off for level 2.  Case and disk are flawless, came with the multiplayer code as well.  Very impressed, will definitely purchase from them again.

My Assassin's Creed III and Hitman: Absolution arrived and in great condition.  I guess I just get lucky with GameFly.

I don't think Lollipop Chainsaw (PS3) even restocked once. They ran out of stock in less than 2 hours on day one, and then nothing. They put far too little stock out there for some of these titles.

Even so, it's an older game than most of the ones that got re-stocked (LC was early June of last year, right?). It may have just been a case where this was the 'final' time it went on sale to get rid of remaining stock. Previous sales may have already cleared a lot of their LC copies.

Just a guess.

Anyway, I like that the shipping notices tell you where the game is coming from now. Hope my Halo 4 from Los Angeles, uh, makes it across the country unscathed. Guess my local hub (Pittsburgh) was out of copies. Seems like there had to be a closer option than LA, but... hey, who knows.

Got Madden 13 in the mail today. Arrived a couple days earlier than usual. One minor chip and a smudge. Not bad considering most sports and FPS games I buy from GF are pretty beat up.

Something like Lollipop Chainsaw isn't going to be as readily available as it's not a popular rental. Like was mentioned, it's probably being phased out now, the same thing happened with Shadow of the Damned and various other niche games.

Was Resident Evil 6 really that bad that I don't see anyone in this thread mentioning it? Or just disappointing?
It's been on sale a few times and cheaper ($9.99) so that might be why. I think its not necessarily that its so terrible but more so that there are better things you could get for the same price sort of thing.

One of mine came in at home today (I just recently moved away for a job) and my mom said you could tell it's used but not awful looking.

Hitman: Absolution arrived...now for Halo 4.

Managed to snatch ACIII, Dishonored, and Hitman. Hoping to get Sleeping Dogs on the last restock of the night before this sale ends... (assuming there is one)

Got DOA 5 today for PS3 and one of the chips around the edge is larger than any I have ever had. I remember reading that if the game installs, then you're safe. Does this go for PS3 games, too? I ask because I did the optional installation from the options menu and it fully installed.

Well, I didn't get a Lollipop Chainsaw. Dammit. That's like the 4th sale on that game I missed. I was desperately hoping it would come back in. Cause it's getting old, and I don't think it will turn up in any sales anywhere again. Oh well, maybe I can find it in the bottom of a bin somewhere one day.

Got a Dishonored though. I'm buying on no knowledge other than it had a hilarious joke on VG Cats. Good enough for me.

That's hard to say on the PS3. On the 360, you can fully install the discs. But on the PS3, most games install the main portions of the game, and not necessarily the full game.

Two of my PS3 games froze completely after playing fine in the beginning for a bit. Two others didn't froze during the introduction screen, which was then returned for a full refund. Just play your games a bit through all the modes. You can look at my gallery to see one of the discs had a big chip in it touching the data portion of the disc. I took all those pictures with my 7 MP Canon camera, but I had to resize the pictures to upload them on here way back then.

I played for about 5 hours straight, mixing up arcade, versus, and story mode with no issues so hopefully it's fine.
