I appreciate the style of the hoodie but it isn't something I'd wear. I'm tempted to get one but I don't know why. Part of me says its junk but they other half could see people paying a stupid amount for the hoodie and sunglasses on eBay.

Unemployed (hopefully not much longer) and still come here daily. Not like I'm buying anything, I just don't want to buy something in the future only to learn it was once cheaper.

 
$250 for Titanfall is a huge cashgrab by MS. I'll wait till its in the bargain bin. People said the same thing about thr Street Fighter 25th anniveraary CE and then when nobody bought them, they dropped in price like a Ubisoft game.

I don't think that is a fair assessment. Comparing a CE with a legit statue versus some rehashed games and a Ryu figure? I don't think EA or MS is going to milk the collector's edition because the costs to make it probably doesn't net that much of a profit. You have to consider shipping costs and all that jazz. I don't see any Last of Us statues floating around in the bargain bin either. Even the Bioshock Infinite Songbird edition is still at MSRP on Amazon and most brick and mortar stores don't carry it anymore.

The SF CE is a staggering value if you don't have any of the games, particularly the PS3 version.

 
The thing about the Forza CE is that Forza fans really love Forza. I wouldn't be surprised to see many of this love this stuff. Those shades are probably $40-50 at Costco normally. You're paying about 70-80 for the rest.

 
So I have amazon prime and i ordered the batman CE back in august and it saying it won't get here till monday. If so guess im going to have to call amazon as its bullshit that they say I will get it on release day but have to wait 3 days?

I don't know man; maybe I'm just looking at counterfeits but you can nab standard "Spy" brand sunglasses on eBay for a few bucks

If that statue is high quality then it's not a bad price. Sure I wouldn't spend that much but really high quality figures, especially of that size, can be pretty expensive, you should check out 3A's Metal Gear REX or Sideshow Collectibles statues.

 
Anyone know exactly what DLC you get that's exclusive to the Collectors edition for Arkham Origins? Is it just the Deathstroke Challenge Pack and First Appearance Skin?

who knows, but they always restock most collectors edition, even ones that were "rare". my only advice is you have to stalk the amazon page like a hawk.

 
YMMV but of all places my Walmart had one of each PS3 and 360 Arkham Origins CE and they NEVER get collector's editions unless it is Halo, COD or Assassin's Creed. Seriously... those are the only three they'd had in the past year.. and now arkham origins

 
I'm pretty surprised the Arkham Origins CE seems relatively rare. Figured for sure they'd come back in stock everywhere a week or so before release and then bomb in price. Didn't happen.

I'd just like to comment that I absolutely HATE companies that take a big CE and put a sleeve on it (i.e. Skyrim, Arkham Origins, etc) because all that happens is that sleeve gets torn up and makes the whole thing look like garbage

And if there are stickers holding that sleeve to inner box - it makes it worse.

My Arkham origins CE have 2 twisted stickers, but luckily it did not damage the sleeve

Man, this Arkham Origins CE is nice. One of the best I've ever seen, and for $15, can't beat it. The question is, where the hell does a person display the statue?

 
I'm really glad I was able to get an order in for the Black Chest through my friend in Scotland. It will cost a bloody arm and a leg to get it to me, but it's awesome!

Those valve stem caps may be worth something. Mist manufacturers charge $40+ for similar stem caps with BMW or Chevy logo etc. Porsche charges like $100 for same thing, lol. Hoodie could be worth $50 plus depending on quality. I have some Oakley hoodies I bought for like 60% off at 20 bucks and they are very high quality(their ski themed coats are amazing!), the Forza hoodie looks very similar as far as I can tell. It depends on if you like Forza or not. I do(former GT guy, until they killed the franchise for me by being so horrible slow to add features). I want this. Sadly, I'm trying to to spend anything right now. Trying with a vengeance to pay off my house.

Buying that new Ninja blender on SD didn't help, but kinda need one of those.

Every time I see an European collectors editions like this, I just want to scream in the face of the publishers :censored: fuck who thought it was a good idea to deny people of certain regions the ability to give them more money in exchange for what they want. I WOULD have paid 200 for the Black Chest edition which is *whoopsie!* denied to everyone in North America.
Is Ubisoft sadistic, or just economically dumb?

Assassin's Creed CE in Europe have always blown away the US versions. Also sucks Canada & Europe get double the amount of Steelbook cases for movies than we do.

Well, obviously you'd have to be fairly stupid to exclude the largest market around, when it comes to video game sales (what nation spends more on them?). Why would anyone pay that much for that though? Video game CE statues are very cheaply made, and are rarely worth more than $20. The rest of the junk that comes a in CE, aside from the game, is fairly worthless (papers and shit). At $200 for what others offer at $150 or less, I'd say it's a complete ripoff. Hell, I like the U.S. Batman Arkham Origins CE (best statue I've seen yet in a CE), and at $120 I still say the price sucks. How does adding a plastic statue justify these prices? Go to any toy store and you'll see the same quality statues for $20 or less.

The way I see it, video games and movies are severely overpriced these days. Hell, somehow Blu-ray collector's/special editions cost upwards of $500 or more. People still buy this shit too. Why support such ridiculously inflated prices? Soon we'll be seeing COD, BF, AC etc. collector's editions hitting $300 or more. They just keep going up, and fairly quickly too.

Titanfall already has that $250 dollar CE... I don't mind CEs and might buy one for a game I love (at least for MSRP), but some of these are getting out of hand.

Really?! The one time I hesitated to order a CE and then decided I wanted is when every retailer sells out. Thanks for the info. I've checked all my local stores and all of them told me that they don't have it or are only for those who reserved it.

 
Damn, that AC4 LE is tempting!  I just finished AC3 and I never play AC games when they launch, always months later.  But, I am a huge pirate buff and I loved the naval battles in AC3.  I'm not terribly interested in the statue or artbook, but the flag is awesome and I have a soft spot for game soundtrack CD's.  Not sure that I want to spend $130 though.  Especially when the game will be
