So what about the final 2 characters? Also, is there unlockable skins that you don't have to buy? I just wanna know if you can get all the achievements without spending extra money.
There is ingame currency that you use to buy skins. You have to unlock them first by completing a challenge type thing. With the $20 version, you should be able to get all the achievements unless they add more with the nee characters.

Is it confirmed codes are actually tied to the gamertag? I have Forza 5 that I don't care for... would rather sell it or trade for a physical game (Ryse?).

Codes are not tied to accounts. I got one from someone on twitter that didn't want his. Worked perfect on my console. No problems what so ever.

Thanks for clearing that up man. I would love to play this game, aside from all those garbage 2000 match achievements, lol.

Man, I knew I should have changed my email address attached to my GT. I'm sure theres a code waiting for me in my old college email that I have no access to.

No code for me.  I've spent a fortune on LIVE over the years.  Well more than 100 hundred game downloads through XBLA, XBLIG, and Games on Demand.  Just a couple of Forza 5 unlocks sent to me.  Bummer.  Guess they know I'm good for the money and will buy Killer Instinct regardless :)

My buddy has been a member for I think 8 years. Has over 140k gamerscore, and over $1000 in purchases. Nothing.

In case anyone was still wondering, I just redeemed my code on live.xbox.com, no problem. Next year or whenever I end up actually getting an Xbone, Killer Instinct will be waiting.

Thank for the info. Good to know I can redeem it. I plan on buying a One is a few months, so hopefully before the code expires, but it's good to know I can still redeem it online.

Hearing from whom? Cite some sources.
you're working backwards. The only sources that need citing are the ones that confirm it's a legit offer, not a scam. It's not innocent until proven guilty - this is regarding an email, not a person lmao. You can't just assume a deal is legit merely because no evidence has been shown yet.

I've got a free KI code to whoever can tell the best dirty joke :censored:
And here is my best dirty joke.

So this woman goes to estate sales all the time. She goes to a sale that is really out of the way. She wants to go because she hears that the woman that is selling her goods is a witch and everyone in town is afraid of her, so turnout will be very low. When she arrives she sees an antique door mirror. The woman falls in love with it! She sees a very old horrible looking woman sitting in a chair right in the middle of the stuff for sale.....IT'S THE WITCH! The woman asks "So, how much for the door mirror?" The old witch replies, " Tis no ordinary mirror!" "Speak to it, and make it rhyme and your wish shall come true........so $50!" The woman thought that was a steal so she bought it. Later that day she hung the mirror on her bedroom door. She was wondering if the witch was telling the truth about the mirror, so she was thinking what to wish for. A minute later the woman smiled, looked into the mirror and said "Mirror Mirror on the door, make my breast size 44!!!!!!" All the sudden her chest expanded and BOOM, she had gigantic breasts! Her husband had just walked in from work and said what the hell happened to your boobs! She said, "I just looked into the mirror made my wish rhyme and boom, big breasts!" The husband wanted to try it out. So he said "I know what I want!" The husband looked into the mirror and said "Mirror Mirror on the door make my penis hit the floor!" Then his legs disappeared

Been a XBL member for years, owned 5 different 360s, purchased numerous games, played countless hours and no KI code or e-mail.  I guess they just figured I was in the bag and they didn't need to offer me a thing.

Yeah no code for me either. At least 3 different 360s Xbox live the whole time. Tons of games. And nothing. :( also no codes for extra cars on forza or anything. What were the emails called with the codes? Maybe I passed over them.

Remember, these were targeted E-Mails that you might not have met the requirements of. Like you could buy 200 games and 5 systems, but if the minimal for the KI code was 90,000 GS, then you won't get anything if you have less.

Until we know the exact target I'm not sure if we can say that's true or not...

Also, seems a little backwards to target people with HUGE GS's since they obviously have the money to blow... give it to the people who have been XBL member for years and years but have a smaller GS.... (excluding those who only play MP games or something).

Do you really think M$ sent these out at complete random and some guy with 0 gamerscore, who never bought Xbox Live and only owns a Windows phone could in theory win an Xbox One? Going off all the posts I have ever seen, it seems the two main elements to getting these E-Mails are gamerscore and tenure. Now, I never once said what the conditions were, nor did I say they didn't meet them. I was simply pointing out that just because you spend XYZ dollars for ABC Xbox products, you're not entitled to DEF promo item if you don't meet the conditions they were looking for.

Also, it makes the most sense to target people with huge gamer scores. First and foremost, it adds value to the gamerscore system. The person who has the highest gamerscore (900,000+ I guess) was given a white Xbox One and Xbox Live for life. This adds value to the system, since there is a formal reward for earning them. So if M$ gives the most loyal people out there DLC codes and the like, then the most loyal people feel like M$ is taking care of them and will continue to support them. This also shows low level people that there IS a point to gamerscore. Like how Sony raffled and sold off costumes for gold trophies. It added a perk for something that was previously viewed as a waste of time. Not saying it instantly means gamerscore/trophies become a must have item, but I am saying that people will be more incline to care about them, if there is a reward to do so.

In your version, what is the point of being loyal, if M$ takes you for granted? Who would want to support a company that is only looking for new customers and have no interested in the old people? I sure wouldn't and I doubt many people would either.

My version is one that gives things to people who probably "need" (obviously nobody needs it) it more and not one where people who have so much disposable not only income but also time that they can use it to boost their GS's. Yeah there's a sweet spot of people who really just play tons of games, but even at that point they can obviously already afford the games so. I was just saying why not target some people who from their GS, tenure, and game history clearly are "true" gamers but just don't have the time or money to have bloated GS's.

And wow did you blow up, you may have "simply" been saying that it appears to be a very specific target. But I'm "simply" just saying that was never actually confirmed by anybody. Yes, it appears that people are targeted to some degree, 99% of these types of things are...but only to a degree as it would seem even within that target massive amounts of people got nothing.

The whole thing about "value" of the GS though is a bit skewed though. As I already alluded to, most of the people with this massive scores are out doing so in a way completely inconsistent with what a "true" gamer who games because he loves to game would be doing. I know quite a few people who have had LIVE this whole gen and part of last one with lower GS's than I do (I have just under 50k) and I'd call them more of real gamers than most of these guys you see out in the forums who hoard achievements.

Doesn't that DEVALUE it a bit when many of the TRUE loyal base gets overlooked? I've had LIVE since 2004 (got it when NFL 2k5 came out) and only lapsed for a month or so when I was too busy (two jobs over 60 hours a week plus full time college). I have over a 45k GS, Win8 on my PC and have my second Win8 phone, I'd have a tablet too if they weren't so expensive...I've own 4 360's and had 2 XBox's. I'm not loyal? What percentage are in my shoes VS the ones who got something?

Look I'm not really even complaining, shoot I certainly never expected nor do I still anything at all. Would have been nice since I'm trying to bet my photography off the ground now and really can't afford one (nor do I really have the time, also have 3 kids under 4) but I'm not going to complain I don't have it. Kind of makes me made they don't consider me "loyal" but could care less about not getting free stuff.

Please explain how one would figure out how to target this demographic.

I don't want to argue semantics. I hate having to put a bunch of disclaimers on my posts because someone wants to be a wise ass and go "well, you can't PROVE it's targeted, so in that 00.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance you're wrong, I don't think your comment is worthwhile".

But this is marketing, not philanthropy. People without money to blow may not figure into the equation. When a company says "thank you for your past purchases," they really mean "thank you for your future purchases."

I'm also looking for the Killer Instinct code - I could offer a UV Copy of Man of Steel or some 14 day Gold trial codes (came packaged with 360 games).

If anyone wants to trade for 8 UV Codes let me know... Got

Man of Steel

2 Guns

Disney Planes

We are the Milers

White House Down

Grown Ups 2

Turbo

RIPD

Have alot more if you are not interested in them.

I got one and I haven't touched my 360 in a while.  119,000 GS, Live member for 5 years or so, but I may have even let it expire recently.

Put me in the interested group if someone has one they aren't using. Evidently my 10 years of Live aren't enough, because I don't spend all my time chasing achievements.

Hey man. I have 150k+, and I find your comment a bit insulting. I don't spend all my time chasing achievements. I've had live for 7 years and just through naturally progression got that much. I just like to finish my games that I paid good money for. Also, not everyone with high gamerscore got free stuff.

In addition. My friend has maybe 10k under me with more years, and nothing. While his brother in law has maybe 5 years,120k, and he got KI. The sending process was random.

They probably had a minimum requirement of 3 years though.

I get that. And honestly, it's dumb however they're going about it. I just meant it's insulting to people who just like to finish games.

So the Microsoft Store in town didn't get my Pin Ultimate Edition preorder in and they have no idea when (or if I'm sure) it will be in. I'm really bummed that I'm going to miss out on the first week achievement unless I double dip for it. I'm sure achievements don't unlock unless you pay at least something for the game cause I should have unlocked at least one or two by now. Really wishing they has sent me a code so I could still take full advantage of the game while I wait for the special edition to show up. :(

Thats rough! =[

...

The KI codes are locked to the gamer tag I thought?

Anyways, any word on KI Gold Edition being sold for $20 for those that bought the base.
