Amazon has some great warehouse deals, and most of their used games are in like new condition (condition listed can be acceptable, good, very good, like new, or new). Please post specific deals you find via Warehouse deals in this thread. Check latest posts for the newest deals, or click the link below.

WIKI: It seems people had a few suggestions from the last thread in terms of updating the OP. I've changed a few things, but if there is anything else you want to change, feel free to do so.

F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
From Amazon: Get deep discounts on open-box, like-new, refurbished, or used products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.com's rigorous standards as "new".

Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes! All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What states does Amazon charge sales tax?
Items sold by Amazon.com LLC, or its subsidiaries, and shipped to destinations in the following states are subject to tax:

Arizona
California
Connecticut

Florida
Georgia
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky
Massachusetts
Nevada
New Jersey
New York
North Carolina
North Dakota
Pennsylvania
Tennessee
Texas
Virginia
Washington
West Virginia
Wisconsin

Note: No sales tax is charged when purchasing gift cards; however, purchases paid for with gift cards may be subject to tax.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?
Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

off topic but couldn't get a response in the pikmin thread does anyone expect pikmin 3 wii u to go cheaper at best buy before end of the month? or to be on sale at any retailer cheaper in the next few months? or should I just buy it tonight for $27 plus tax? I been trying to cutback my spending but I know how well pikmin games usually keep there value but I know I wont get to the game to play for awhile cause of a huge backlog

Personally I'm waiting because it's only $5 off and you never know.

Is there a reason this was still available for me to 1-Click a minute or two ago? :???:

I tested the DKC:TF (VG) I got today, and what-do-you-know, the disc was unreadable. Second time in a row for me. :headache:

Can anyone recount a single instance where a Wii U game bought from AWD didn't have this problem?

Well it is still available new maybe? Maybe people just aren't as into the PS4 release? I don't know.
It is cause why pay $40 for standard copy or more for a CE when you can buy the ps3 version right now for less then $20 or $15.99 with GCU and upgrade to the ps4 version for free. And the upgrade is good until the end of the year which mean if ps3 copies are $20 and under now imagine how cheap ps3 copies will be toward the end of the year.

Starting April 11th 2014, all new and existing owners of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn on the PS3 will be able to upgrade their copy to the PS4 version through the game account management system Mog Station. Bunch of PS4s are up. Snagged a VG one with desc:

Condition: Used - Very Good

Downloadable content (DLC) or codes for online play may require additional purchase. Item has been tested to be fully functional. Item is in original packaging, but packaging has damage. All accessories are present and undamaged.

Says it's been tested, but isn't that a general description? Anyone ever get a dinger before when it said it was tested?

Did you get the 256.XX One

Did you get the 256.XX One
No, the description for that was

"Downloadable content (DLC) or codes for online play may require additional purchase. Item has been tested to be fully functional. Item is in original packaging, but packaging has damage. Small (less than ¼" x ¼") cosmetic imperfection on front of item. Small (less than ¼" x ¼") cosmetic imperfection on bottom of item. Small (less than ¼" x ¼") cosmetic imperfection on back of item. Missing manual.

Clearly, that one was not a dinger.

I got the $276 one that didn't have the "cosmetic imperfection" description. Again, mine was

Downloadable content (DLC) or codes for online play may require additional purchase. Item has been tested to be fully functional. Item is in original packaging, but packaging has damage. All accessories are present and undamaged.

Says it's been tested to be functional, but isn't that a general description? Also says item in original packaging, but packaging has damage which makes me hope it's a dingy.

The box gotta be messed up enough that they felt the need to open it up just to make sure it functions. I wouldn't bite. The first fingerprint on my PS4 will be mine! (which it was =P)

I want a true dinger. Maybe they did that and it fully functioned which is why there is no cosmetic damage to it? That wouldn't be half bad if that were the case.

I also got a 276 ps4 that said only box damage
But was it like mine where it said "item has been tested to be fully functional"? I'm trying to see if this is a new general description for consoles like how it used to always say they would include games. I've yet to see a damaged box PS4 that didn't include the fully functional line in the past three weeks and I've been hounding these consoles trying to seek one out.

Of the four or five Wii U games I've received, all of them have been in perfect working order. Including the DKC:TF that I got shortly after release.

Judging from the comments though, it does seem that Wii U discs have a much higher chance of failure from AWD though.

Yeah, I've gotten WiiU games from AWD that were fine. It mainly seems to be first party games and in particular Zelda and DKTF. Wonder if we'll see this with MK8.

there's about 100+ in stock

if it were F2P I'd buy it but the subscription has me passing it up, I played the ps4 beta and it was pretty fun and I generally don't play MMO's
Agreed, I wish they had gone for the Guild Wars 2 model of paid entry then optional in game purchases. I bought it on PS3 at launch and thought it was quite good but only played it for the free month. I just can't bring myself to pay $15 a month for an MMO these days.

same with me, when I first heard about elder scrolls online when it was first announced I was excited then once I found out it was paid I forgot it and moved on

Keef I also have been watching these PS4s for a month and have never read one that didnt say it was tested.  Even the LN ones have that in the description.  Lets HOPE we all got dingers!

got AC3 (A), AC4 (A), SC BLACKLIST (G), JD2014(VG), SONIC LW (LN) all working great and recently AC ARMORED (G) (thanks to GREEN CARD200) which i will make sure to test

I played ff14 during the ps3 closed beta & ended buying it and paying for another month after. So I played for about 3 months and I never liked mmos besides Diablo 1 & 2. Aside from the map its a great game.
After I beat the story & got 2 classes maxed with best gear That's when I stopped since only grinding was left. But now with lots updates n added dungeons I'm tempted to get another month.

Yeah man I hope so. I haven't been in a rush to get one with the lack of games for the next gen consoles so I've passed on a great numbers of AWD PS4s waiting for that perfect description. But with The Show coming out in two weeks, I kind of want one by that time so I figure why not try this.

If it's bad/damaged/defected in any way, I can always return.

Sorry to hear that.  I had one last week and cancelled it and its taken me hours of staying glued to the computer to finally get another one.

I was commenting 2 the guy who missed out.  Y a Keef same here have to get The Show anf then TLOU is next month and I know I will want one when Madden and NBA 2k are out.  I am a HUGE sports gamer.  Not 2 mention all the indie games coming and E3.

I just saw a VG ps4 with the description not mentioning the "tested and working" part. Just the dlc used & damaged original box part. Making me think the earlier ones aren't "dingers" :[

Saw it too. Aaaaand I'm probably going to cancel mine. Even though for some reason it's already preparing for shipment though I placed the order an hour ago.

Just bought trials for ps4 from awd, I searched but couldn't find out, anyone know if season pass is code or on disc and unlocks when it releases, I'm assuming code but wasn't sure

weird i see them all as VG and described as scratches all over
wow, yeah. Are they talking about the box?

"Downloadable content (DLC) or codes for online play may require additional purchase. Item has been tested to be fully functional. Item is in original packaging, but packaging has damage. yeah, that is very accurate for 64+ VG ps4s that popped up, like someone else said, this might be generic trade in description but by ITEM they should be talking about the actual system, definitely not expecting a Dinger, if its bad it will just go to gamestop and get converted back to amazon credit

Last edited by a moderator:
No, those cosmetic imperfections definitely describe the system itself. I don't see why it would matter that they'd describe the box condition. It's either damaged or not.

I canceled my PS4. I can't take a chance on it when I see others without the "fully tested" description which look more like dingers.

Back in the waiting line I go...
