YMMV ToysRUS "Green" Clearance is up to 70% off!

I picked up Sin and Punishment for the Wii ($5) and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition ($12).
The had a variety of other games, I picked these up in Leominster MA.

The worker said the prices will steadily decrease, but he is not sure when the next drop will be.

They had an assortment of other games on ALL consoles.
Some hidden gems.

Just look for the games with a Lime Green tag on them. They all say "Was $##.##" but don't give the real price until you check them either at a register or kiosk.

Went in again yesterday to get a price adjustment, no problem. Was chatting with one of the cs reps and she said her manager told her that it might be every 3 weeks.. Does anyone know the date of when all the percentages went up by 10 and then the green went up to 60? If so, we can know when to expect an increase in the percentage.. 90% here we come.

Yeah its universal. Went to another TRU and PS Allstars wasnt tagged but rang up at the register after she hit a button

If you look at the credit card machine when they scan it, the full price comes up then they hit a button and the discounted price comes up

Gran Turismo 5 XL still $19.99 at Rivergate (Goodlettsville, TN). Scanned it myself and also checked out at register, but no discount.

Went in a few days ago and picked up Falout New Vegas Ultimate (PS3) for $8. It was not the Greatest Hits version.

Would still love to find a Skyrim LE, but they've been gone for a while.

Hoping they get something shipped in, but nothing has changed in a month.

That store is a drag.

Found three of the Aqua Blue 3DSs at a store. I am not in the market for another 3DS but I was curious what they would come up as, so I asked for them to be scanned. The guy was blown away, not as much by the price I think but more so because it was a clearanced item but wasn't marked. He was like "Oh my boss mentioned there was supposed to be something else in our department marked, but none of us could figure out what it was. This is bad that it wasn't marked."
Go figure. Wonder if they will get marked now.

The memories, I remember throwing out about 40 Black Ops 2 posters back when I worked at TRU lol
That's nothing.. A couple weeks ago I had to throw out about 250 Destiny posters at Gamestop.. I kept one of the boxes that had 50 each though.. I felt so wasteful ._.

Which should I go for: my TRU has one of the red 3DS that I can get for $102 or should I grab a 2DS when they go back on sale for $99? Or forget both and wait on a good XL deal?

All things being equal the 3DS is probably the slightly better buy at the same price even if you don't care about the 3D. The 2DS is surprisingly great and more comfortable to hold than an XL (can't compare it to holding a 3DS though) but it loses any sort of portability in a pocket and feels more plasticky. Not bad, just not that sort of real solid feel that you usually get from Nintendo handhelds. The top screen is a bit sharper though because it doesn't have that 3D filter thing on it.

Overall you can't go wrong with either so I guess it comes down to the form factor. If I didn't have an XL that I can at least fit in my jeans pocket I would probabl rather have a regular 3DS but if you're just playing at home I do prefer the comfort level of the 2DS.

Picked up another one today: :360: Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XL, $30 green sticker.  Has a great roster (Captain Planet!), but it plays really assy and the music/death sounds are almost unbearable.  Still worth $12 if you want to play with your kids or something.

PROTIP: The easiest way to earn credits for unlocking stuff is to start a 10 minute local multiplayer game on the default Powerpuff Girls stage with as many player-controlled characters as you can.  Play as player one and farm kills until the timer runs out....took me three runs to unlock all of the store characters.

I know this might be a longshot but if anyone was able to pick up a Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 for the VITA or Professor Layton Miracle Mask and is willing to trade, I have the following that I can offer:

Resident Evil Revelations 3DS

Kingdoms of Amalur PS3

Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection PS3

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean PS3

Punch Time Explosion XL PS3

Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360

Okamiden DS

Possibly Star Fox 3DS if I can get over there again.  PMs are welcome. Thanks.

Went to my Toys R Us last night and and looks like no one knows about the sale. They had plenty of copies of Star Fox and Kid Icarus for the 3DS.. Hopefully going back this weekend if I have time to grab a few things..
Wow it's great people are still finding them. I picked up a couple extra Pokemon White 2 from the target clearance if anyone is interested in trading 1:1 for Star Fox and/or Kid Icarus copies (or other 1st party DS/3DS new or like new mint complete games)

Does anyone have a copy of Jak and Daxter at their local TRU? I'm interested in picking one up, but mine's out. I'd be happy to try and reciprocate with a game you're looking for.

Thanks!

Larry

Are you looking for the HD collection? I think mine had one left. Does yours have anything good for the 3ds? Like Kid IIcarus?

Toys'r'us near fort myers, FL didn't have anything good. Mostly standard 360 games, no decent PS3 games. No Sleeping dogs, dead space 3, jak collection,  yakuzas. It didn't hurt to check, I guess.

I *really* wanted a jak collection. Great deal.

Disagree with your disagreement. As an adult male, the 3ds is for ants. For a child it may be fine, but no adult can comfortable use it.
I have to disagree with your statement. I am an adult, with adult-sized features. I am one of the few out there who preferred the OG Xbox "Duke" controller because, as I would tell people, "I am a man and I have man-sized hands."
There is nothing wrong with the size of screen on an original 3DS. It is perfectly functional.

So my Toys 'R' Us has copies of Ico and the Shadow of the Colossus, or Jak and Daxter HD Collection for the PS3. I'd be interested in trading either for a copy of Jak and Daxter for the PS Vita, if anyone is interested. Alternatively, I'd happily look for other titles, too.

XL. The screen sizes on the other two are just ridiculous. A total waste imo.
I disagree. Screen size on the original 3DS is just fine, and the pixel density is much better.
I would agree. I have large hands and find the XL tiring to hold while finding the 3DS/2DS screen size looks sharper. Each of the three variants has it's merits though so you really have to try and see them in person.

FACT: The best DS of all time is the DS Lite. Brighter, bigger screen, but the last that could utilize the immense library of GBA games (in physical form).

Now someone trade me Jak and Daxter for the Vita, please!

I truly hate eBay sometimes. Picked up a set of PS3 wireless headphones and resold them on eBay for about 10$ profit, and the buyer is saying the box contained some cheap batman headphones. Sucks!!

does anyone's toy r us have this exact same clearance and willing to grab them for me? XD. They only had about half of what was on here and only 3 I wanted. Not bad tho. Thanks OP.

A lot of ways to get back at the seller. Open up a case and say you will give them a full refund but they need to send you images of the headphones, return it, etc. If you truly believe you are in the right, prolong the case for 45 days and it will automatically close.

Suck on that sweet karma, re-seller.
It's funny, when you lose your job b/c someone said you didn't serve them the right food and had "an attitude", let's hope that was just karma for making a living.

But why would you want something that's "functional" or "fine" when there is something that exists with the larger screen. I'd be squinting,thinking...man this sucks, why didn't I just buy the better one that exists?

The buyer sent me pictures, but the story is questionable as the box she displays in the pic has a tear and the box I sent did not. I like the send it back to me and then sit on it, but not sure how I could extend that to 45 days. This is the 2nd issue I had in recent weeks. I had some guy who tried to rip me off for a COD code actually threaten me, leave abusive feedback and even when I proved he had redeemed the code due to the fact his ebay id and xbox live id were the same, ebay refused to remove the negative feedback. I really need to switch over to amazon.

People who Street Pass prefer something that will fit into a normal pocket. Also, a bigger screen is only better if the resolution is increased as well.

If you only care about screen SIZE, then it can be considered better. But the pixel density makes the picture much nicer, and the weight makes it more comfortable to play longer. If you're going to complain about a small screen, complain about the GBA Micro.

Functional.... sure. So is a 30 inch CRT TV nowadays. It just isn't practical, it's almost silly.

Refuse the package, tell them you will work with them and you're glad to give a refund once you get on their good side.

I had this happen to me before with a laptop I sold. The person said it didn't work, which it did work perfectly fine and I fresh installed it with Windows 7 and cleaned it too. It was my personal computer and I took great care of it.

Anyways, I told the person I'd give them a full refund. Of course they were all happy. I would send responses once a week saying things like, return the laptop, send pictures so I can see the damage, I'll pay for shipping, etc. They sent the laptop back and I refused shipment. They sent it again a few days before the case closed and I accepted it.

The laptop was working perfectly fine and I end up selling it to someone else after the case closed. The person that got it loved it and gave me great feedback. I blocked the person who opened the case from buying from me.

But I only advise doing this if you are in the right.

My XL fits in all my pockets. Unless you have other things in your pockets, it will fit.

I had a 3DS and upgraded to an XL last year. The XL is definitely better b/c of the screen, comfort while holding and it makes games look better (well imo. others disagree).

Damn, that would make me one sad panda. Buyer probably trying to swindle you with a switcheroo.

Puh-lease. As I said before, there is nothing wrong with the 3DS screens.
However, the possibility that there may be something wrong with some people's vision is starting to seem likely... And I am someone that does have terrible vision. Bad eyes, rather tall, long arms holding a 3DS at a decent length away from my face, still able to read text easily and see anything on the screen that I need to see. Sure, a bigger screen is always nice (although there are seemingly some resolution issues or something with the XL screens), but the regular screen isn't really a negative. You would think that Nintendo had used some old Tamagotchi-sized displays that are only viewable under a microscope or something...

Count me among those that cant go back to a normal sized screen after using an XL, its night and day to me. The real reason the XL wins for me though is the larger overall size. I would get bad hand cramps after playing for a while on the original from curling my fingers awkwardly around the tiny device. The XL alleviated that and fits much more naturally without cramping my hands during extended play.
