Everyone here usually plays that like 30 minutes or a less of a Steam cards game, makes up some excuse to not play the game anymore, idles for the remaining cards, and never plays again....sounds about right eh?.....EH?

I'm actually guilty of this but only on terrible games I just don't enjoy.
I do admit to doing this on my alts recently, but I'm going through my backlog and actually getting the cards... legitimately now. My backlog is -massive- and I really need to start playing some of these games. Especially stuff that's in danger of being delisted / unplayable, like the GFWL games.

Anyone here want Spirited Heart? Like didn't get it in a bundle and actually want it and not just to idle for cards on their alt?
As you all may know I am just enough of a weaboo to enjoy that kind of game. If it is still available I will try my best to play it very much.

Alright, since there's not a whole lot of chatter atm, does anyone know anything about adapters for VGA to use with newer graphics cards? If so, please message me on Steam/PM me.

Thanks.

Half-Minute Hero was in BeMine 12. It hasn't been featured in another bundle.

It did sell a lot of copies but not "millions", at least not on PC. It was a wildly successful PSP game, though.
Okay. The millions thing was just sarcasm because Motoki's obsessing about sales numbers when I just wanted to give people a heads up about the game having been updated with Trading Cards since that wasa recent thing.

The original game was one of the best on the PSP, so I was happy to see the sequel finally make it over in some form since it came out in that weird period where PSP was nearly dead here and they weren't willing to do the work to port it to Vita.

Except that you have console sensibilities about what is a good price and that none of us here would even consider buying that game at $15 or $20 since we all know it's going to go cheaper.

Pretty much every non big AAA blockbuster on Steam that hasn't been in a bundle or gone 75% off yet on Steam is going to have higher card prices and less competition to sell them. If you listed them all it would be a very long list.

It's not very CAGly to buy a game at or near full price just to get 50 cents or so more on cards.

*Edited to add: Source that it sold millions of copies on Steam? Because Valve doesn't release their sales data. So unless you have inside information...

I was specifically referencing the Steam version though when I mentioned games that haven't sold a ton or gone on a cheap sale will naturally have higher prices. Then he got his feathers ruffled and did the yellow comic sans thing.

I'm sure it's sold a ton on PSP or whatever but on the Steam market I see no evidence that it has and how much a game sells has a direct effect on what the card prices will go for, which is how all this mess started. Because some console person who really doesn't get the whole Steam cards market though it was hot shit that this one game had cards selling for 80 cents when pretty much every game that's not gone cheap or in a bundle or otherwise sold a ton of copies will have higher prices for cards.
I'm not really sure why my post giving people a heads up about Half-Minute Hero: The Second Coming's Trading Card update has spawn this weird attack on me. I never made any claims about sales or anything that in that post, just giving people a heads up about the update since people here obsess over them. You've read into it far too much to now be lecturing me about sales numbers and all that crap that has nothing to do with what I posted.

You are right that I only buy games at full price. Screw getting things for less than the maximum. That's for weaklings.

And  at the second half of your post. Such hostility over nothing. Go buy some games and learn to not take things so damn seriously.

Hey thanks a lot Motoki. I will enjoy Spirited Heart. At least up until I realize How pitiful I am to be dating computer code.

You want to use a monitor with VGA inputs on a new graphic card?

Depending on the card it might still have a VGA port. Or you can use one of these to connect it.

Oh, you were talking about the sequel? That hasn't been in a bundle. My mistake, I misunderstood you.

blablabla yadda yadda yadda
The point I was trying to make is it's not informative because if you are going to list every game on Steam that has good prices on cards because it's never had a good sale yet and nobody here (but you) has bought it yet then you'd be listing an awful lot of games. You seem to think the card prices on Half Minute Hero 2 are unique. They aren't. EVERY game that isn't a huge blockbuster and hasn't had a cheap sale has card prices like that. Supply and demand. There's less supply because less people bought the game.

Or to put it another way, you think you made some discovery that no one knows about when that's just the way the cards market works for every expensive unpopular game on Steam.

And  at the second half of your post. Such hostility over nothing. Go buy some games and learn to not take things so damn seriously.
Yeah about that:

Exactly. So that's the specific kind of adapter I should use? I can't find a VGA port on it, just 2 DVI, 1 HDMI, and 1 DP.

It does say VGA next to one of the DVI ports.. which is sort of confusing.

Thanks for the help/quick reply btw.

Too generic of a question, console peasant. Your best bet is to have DVI-I ports and use a cheap dumb adapter.

Sorry, just wanted to keep the request short and sweet, it's why I said to message me on Steam.

I believe that means that that specific port is the only one that will work with a VGA adapter. I remember reading that some DVI ports in cards with multiple connectors may not be compatible with everything due to how they're set up, but I might be mistaken.

Does your monitor not support DVI or HDMI at all?

All I have to do is write anything and somebody gets offended in here.

It's no problem.
Dood, I just discovered something even better! A circular device for facilitating motion.

If you really want to discuss card prices, this is not the thread for it. This is the thread for it.

And the rest of us want to discuss buying games for 75% off or $5 (cue MysterD).

If you can't be arsed to glance at information and terms that you're pointed at and useful....

Besides you haven't filled out a steam friend application yet. I am so looking forward to rejecting it with a big NOOBIE stamp.

Nope.

And yeah, you're probably right.

After reading the description, the adapter supports DVI-I and DVI-A, so it's probably exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks again.
I've never seen DVI-A in the wild. If you hit the damn wiki link I had sent you, you'd have been easily able to positively identify if it was DVI-I by... looking at it.

Say in the first sentence of that thread it's for collecting or trading not selling sooo....

Need to find a Dota 2 news site or something (not asking, I can probably easily find it with google), just ran across an item that managed to go from selling at $0.14-$0.15 for weeks that suddenly jumped to about $0.50 all of sudden today. Could have been a nice haul.

Yeah about that:
I'll have to note that you're the thread police around here and PM you about which topics I'm allowed to post about in here in the future.

If it wasn't helpful, I don't think I would've gotten some likes on that post from a few of the more helpful CAGs around here that don't jump on people for posting something to help some CAGs out. That's obviously not a good thing, so I'll stop it.

I've read enough of this thread to know that no matter how many games you buy, there's always more that you can buy, so unless there are only 1,700 games on Steam, you've still got more to buy. Thanks for the picture of your e-peen, though. Really nice stuff.

If it wasn't helpful, I don't think I would've gotten some likes on that post
Right. Because getting virtual likes from strangers on the internet always legitimizes things. I could post a picture of a turd and someone would 'like' it.

That's obviously not a good thing, so I'll stop it.
Thanks for being cooperative. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way back to the console threads.

Then you clearly haven't read enough to know that this site is called CHEAPASSgamer for a reason and that every game on Steam isn't on sale at the same time and that unlike you we don't pay $20 for something that looks like an NES game and then think we got a great deal when our cards sell for 60 cents. We wait for that shit to get in a bundle or a real sale, as in 75% off or less.

Thanks for the picture of your e-peen, though. Really nice stuff.
Glad you think so. Since you told me to go increase the size of my e-peen, I figured you'd like to see that it was already quite large.

I'm starting to buckle and considering State of Derpcay for $10. Someone talk me off the ledge.
easy thing to say is wait for summer sale, right? chances are it'll be more than 50%. maybe not 75%, but hopefully 66%?

or... it's in the next Humble Bundle, there I've jinxed(Mooby'd) it, HA!!!

I'm starting to buckle and considering State of Derpcay for $10. Someone talk me off the ledge.
One of the things I found out after I bought it was that it's kind of a persistent world. If you don't log in for a few days, when you do log in your survivors will be running low on supplies. That's actually the thing that's stopped me from starting it yet.. I'm still very interested in the game, I just don't like the idea of being married to it right now since I am still spending so much time with Warframe at the moment.

(if anyone can tell me there's a way to turn this off, or a mod then I'd be thrilled & start it up next time I had an hour)

I'm on mobile, so please pretend I'm posting an animated picture of someone eating popcorn.

Also, I thought State of Decay was dull and had wonky combat. Had more fun with Infestation. The party building mechanic was kinda interesting, but I have no plans to ever play it again.

Which reminds me. Are any CAGer playing Infestation this weekend (or tonight) on that private server?

Don't you sound so tough. I'll be sticking around, but I'll change some things around to make things go a little more smoothly around here.

Wasn't it $5 once on Humble Store?

Shouldn't that be enough reason?

Plus - isn't State of Derp-cay is gonna have more Derp-LC?

EDIT:

No no no, this is a delicate job Pinky. Get the sledgehammer.
Hey, Brain - have you taken over the world yet?

Isn't that a nightly thing?

Yeah, yeah - I know....you're gonna insert 2 pictures of DRINKING, next time around.

What happened to this thread being a fun place to discuss games?
I've been playing Thief [2014] - and so far, I'm liking it.

5 hours in - been doing missions; and also (mostly) exploring, finding things, and robbing people's homes.

Story hasn't really took off much of anywhere yet, though.

Yeah that's one of those things that sounds interesting in theory but horrible in practice.

What happened to this thread being a fun place to discuss games? Everyone seems to just want to complain and argue now; it's exhausting.
Whatever. I disagree with your complaint, dumbass.

Glad you're enjoying your purchase. :D

Feel free to give me more money if you get more than your $10's worth.
