I have a Shield but I admit I don't use it much. I think the problem isn't that the hardware can't run good games or even than there aren't any but that there's just so many crappy games it's a bit overwhelming sometimes to find good ones.

For some reason I don't feel compelled to buy up every cheap game and then hope maybe 1 out of 10 are decent like on Steam. As far as Groupees I have even less interest in their Android games than I do in their DRM free PC downloads. They're a place to get keys for me and that's it. I don't want yet another place to download from.

It's weird because a game could be on Android and I won't hear about it or care but then it comes on Steam (for more money :p) and suddenly I am interested. Like Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake. It's not like I'm opposed to android gaming so I don't really know what it is.

I think only the Kairosoft stuff catches my attention at this point. I used to be into the Kemco RPGs but they just are so samey and generic (even though I buy them all anyway when they go 99 cents) and with FF III on Steam I kind of stopped following Square's mobile stuff. Plus they are expensive.

I don't really know what I was trying to say with this MysterDesque essay except that maybe I like the idea of Android games but the idea of Android games but I just can't seem to be bothered to find and play the good ones.

I have to say, and I'm not even joking. Who plays mobine phone games? Well, no, I mean I know that a lot of people do. I just wonder why the savvy CAG community would do it. Vita and 3DS games are much better and I feel like mobile gaming and tablet gaming is the bane of video games.
Because my phone is always with me. And my tablet gets carried around a lot for other/real purposes (e.g. reading).

It's a little rubber overlay over the slide-out keyboard.

Why don't you just play your games on screens more meant their size? It's weird but just like watching anime in a terrible stream (need HD if available) why would you play your games in a tiny screen too...even with the tablet. Just my humble opinion, and I do some mobile gaming (mainly just for mobile only games), but I would prefer my classics on a bigger screen with the controller meant or pretty close to the original experience (or a beauty like the playstation controller...yeah still have an old dual shock around).

I guess for portable reasons but eh....

That's a good point and probably has a lot to do with why I am so eh on mobile gaming even though I like the idea of it. For something like solitaire or match 3 I am fine with it but anything much more than that and I want a bigger screen.

I think if there was a portable/mobile device that had video out to a TV or monitor and wireless controller support that just worked without jumping through a bunch of hoops and just generally being a pain in the ass then I would be for it but I don't know of such a thing.

I probably have more time in Mahjong than any other mobile game...

My most played game is Androminion easily....where is that official Dominion app already....I love that game!

I don't play games on my phone because its 90% full of music, so the game will have to be sub100mb for me to even give it a chance. And those usually suck. So I'll just stick to accessing CAG on my phone when I have a few minutes to kill.

once i have the disposable income to the point (ie when i get my grad degree and my income doubles) i'll probably get a nvidia shield just for when i'm on the john

I "bought" the one on the right when they had some coupon deal making it free but at the time the game support was pretty minimal and I couldn't get the Moga Universal Driver from the app store to do much. Maybe I should check that stuff out again.
Most emulators have controller compatibility. I'm sure it varies between Android games.

I kind of stopped following Square's mobile stuff. Plus they are expensive free with Amazon coins.

What kind of phone do you have? On iPhones games (if you wanna call them that) look like crap. On Samsungs they're awesome. Ridiculously vibrant, high resolution, big screens, and you're holding a phone screen closer to your face than you are with a computer or TV, so in comparison the "size" is similar in relationship to the distance and screen resolution.

Well let's see 4 Kairosoft games or 1 Square game? I'm going with 4 Kairosoft games.

Plus I didn't totally not abuse the coin system because it's totally not in the TOS so I'm not an Amazon coins kajillionaire. Also I got screwed out of the coins on that GTA deal and the Indian CS PS weren't getting what I was talking about so gave me a $5 general use credit instead which was fine by me.

I only did that once lol, and I haven't even spent those coins. I've bought pretty much everything worthwhile on the Amazon appstore with legitimate coins and haven't spent the ones I got from redoing an offer that one time.

Of course dollar days....I am giving away 2 of the Steam Keys...Revenge of the Titans and Sudokuball Detective. Quote this and say which you want and it's yours 1 per user of course.
