And here I just bought The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav over the weekend from Bundle Stars.  :wall:

...you're welcome I suppose.

That's the only one I don't have in this bundle...

Wonder if it'd be worth it just for that?
Noobish question (longtime lurker, first time poster) but what are some good places I could use to trade the duplicates? As I noticed some game trading places don't permit posting bundle keys.

Those Runaway games are fun... for the first 3 hours.  Then the puzzles get STUPID.  Really??  Transgender guys on buses need WHAT!?!?  Ugh...  (I have beaten the first two though...but with guides.  Never would have figured it out without them...)

Okay, well, those sound like some good reasons to skip this. Not that I needed any more than ($) 6.

The Conspiracy Bundle - $5.99 [customspoiler=Includes]

  • Broken Sword Director's Cut
  • Broken Sword 2: The Smoking Mirror
  • Broken Sword 3: The Sleeping Dragon
  • Runaway: A Road Adventure
  • Runaway: The Dream of the Turtle
  • Runaway: A Twist of Fate
  • The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav
  • The Whispered World: Special Edition
[/customspoiler]
Hmmmmm...

Totally missing the entire Runaway series.

I have Broken Sword 3 from retail - though I wouldn't mind getting that officially away from StarForce's nasty disc-DRM + onto Steam.

I have TDE: Chains from GOG; wouldn't mind putting it also Steam - but it ain't necessary to me.

And I have The Whispered World Regular + Special Ed from Steam already.

I have Broken Sword 1 on GOG.

I have Broken Sword 2 on Steam.

SIDE NOTE: I have Broken Sword 4 from retail, which works w/out the disc in the drive (DRM-FREE).

We know Runaway series has been $2 a piece each at certain places at its lowest from ITAD; and then the Pendulo Pack on Steam (Runaway series, Next Big Thing, and Yesterday) has been $10 before.

Decisions, decisions...

EDIT:

Good thing this BundleStars Conspiracy Bundle is going on for another 13 days. Wonder if GOG will cook up a Runaway Bundle. Pendulo Bundle, or something.

I can wait, for now...

The broke sword series is good. I heard turrible things about the Runaway series. Wonder if it is true

Even though I own most of the Broken Sword games, I've only played + been through Broken Sword 3 - and I thought it was really good.

I should get around to playing the other ones, some time.

I've always been curious about Runaway series - but, I've been hesitant on buying those games for quite a while on numerous occassions.

Ok...  I tried to find a clip of the bus in question...  and struck out.  (There are plenty of french and spanish videos though...)

I did watch the trailer... sort of surprised by it...  it is using only 1 thing to sell the game....  the 1 thing would certainly work on 13 - 15 year olds...  but we are older so that should not work on us mature...  ok...  I bet it will work....  (Link NOT included)  The trailer is not indicative of the game though.  Most of the time the little miss muffett is not even in the game...  You are dealing with drag queens, or various other racial stereotypes.  And backtracking a gazzillion times.

I am not saying the game is bad.  It is not.  And the first 3 hours are fun.  But then it gets MASSIVELY tedious.  And you don't even remember the story when you were done...  Sort of pointless...

I think the hallmark of a dubious adventure game, like a night of binge drinking, is that you have no idea how you spent the last 10 hours.
Likely after trial and error, you're still trying to figure out why the hell you are combining an elastic, duct tape, gas can, and some other off-the-wall item to make some stupid kind of make-shift object that you never would've thought of in the first place - all just to advance the game, story + plot along.

I used to use a Bic pen, duct tape, a small socket and a screen from a faucet to make a make-shift...wait...never mind.

Huh. I used the same items to try to stab everybody in arm's reach.
You're all playing adventure games the wrong way.

You're supposed to get to the part where you're covering Ford's satchel with junk mail and say, "F*ck it! I'll just go read the book again."

And, Souffrir, I'm pretty sure you're just murdering people.

When I looked at the list, the first thing I thought was "haven't Pixel Piracy, FATE, Loren, and Demonicon been bundled before?"...
Not Fate: The Cursed King. It just appeared on Steam about a month ago.

Loren was only in the Winter Wolves Groupees that about three people bought because it was something like $10.

Demonicon has not been bundled previously to my knowledge and I can see no record of this on the interwebz.

Pixel Piracy and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. were the ones I was referring to that were previously bundled, the latter by BS, the former, well, it's probably been in a Humble or Gala or something. I don't really care about that one, frankly.

Foxhacked
Yeah, I still don't know what that means.

Yeah, I still don't know what that means.
Loren wasn't in any previous bundles. I bought the Winter Wolves bundle, it didn't include it.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think any of these have been bundled before.

I just did the non-lazy thing and checked with Enhanced Steam. Spoder is indeed correct--none of these were previously bundled.

I was sure S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was in a BS before because they've bundled the others previously. I guess I was wrong. Looks like it's my day for it.

Stalker Clear Sky (#2, the least popular one) has been bundled, you were probably confused by that.

Asked in Steam thread but I'll duplicate here: anyone confirm/deny that Alone in the Dark still has SecuRom?
I'm not software-techno-knowledgeable enough, but I've had it installed for a while. (You're all welcome.) How would I go about checking?

No worries, Foxhack confirmed it does on Steam thread.  I suggest you wash your hard drive out with sulfuric acid to remove the taint!

If it's anything like the retail version (which I own), it'll try to activate the game when you run it the first time.

Regardless of what people think of the game, the soundtrack is amazing. It's by the same dude that composed the soundtrack for Remember Me.

Sadly, I have a feeling this bundle is better than anything we'll see in the Steam sale in two weeks.

I could be wrong again today, but I have a feeling that time will prove me right.

You guys have me to thank fit this bundle. I bought alone in the dark a few weeks ago when spoder swore it would never be bundled and i bought kraven and the outer space game last week during steam's "awesome" fall sale. Donations can be sent to me via paypal. Pwuw minimum of $10 donation.

Bought the same games individually, myself. At least I got them from the far off lands.

My purchases also had an international flair.

Who do I have to blow to get my avatar Christmased?

Pixel Piracy is supposed to get a free massive upgrade/expansion/come out of EA for real this time early next year in an unspecified amount of time, with details coming next month. Seems like it would be cool if done well, so hopefully it comes together.  Not a huge risk as part of this bundle either.

It sounds kind of like it's getting licensed through a studio and ported to consoles.  Non-disclosure = contracting to outside, multiple fronts = cross-platform?
