Are the Mario Party 10 Mario Amiibo edition the only edition for MK10? I know the Mario amiibo release will eventually be separate from the bundle but is the game going to be stand only and is the bundle limited time as well?

Alright, the other guy said something about 1/30 so I wasn't sure. I was kind of expecting 2/1 since someone mentioned she was in the ad and hopefully if there's an unexpected development we'll hear about it in time.

The Z-Date is the approximately/estimated delivery date. It could be a couple of days ahead of that day or a couple behind. If they are hard lock until 2/1, it wouldn't matter anyways.

Yeah the z-date will show as friday. Not sure about all stores, but our amiibo shipments have been showing up on fridays along with other nintendo/skylander products. It's beem that way for the past 5 or 6 weeks.
 
This was a good indicator for LM, DK, and Zelda in wave 2, my buddy told me stock levels for Best Buy in the Cali/AZ/NV areas. From what he said stores are getting between 14-25 Bowser, 5-12 Toon Link, and 0-4 Sheik.

I dont know exactly what markets he looked in Cali besides LA and San Fran. In NV it was the entire state.

Wave 5 is still interesting though. I doubt Retailers are going to carry seperate figures for both Smash and Mario Party variants. One will end up getting discontinued quickly, or be available mostly online, IMO. The obvious choice is Smash since it's already been available for some time.Either way, it will be interesting to see how it's handled as the information will be useful for future releases of characters with multiple Ammibo variants as well.

Seriously. my Toys R US didn't put out wave 3 because they had loads and loads of common wave 1/2 on the shelves. 

Looks like no one had a clue about inventory and when the rare ones sold out so quickly, they put another huge order in.

I can't imagine retailers wanting to keep another huge wave of Mario figures.

Crazy though. Half of my Toys R Us' video game section is Amiibos, Skylanders figures, and Disney Infinity. 

 
One good thing from my visit to TRU yesterday is that they are definitely honoring pre-orders. They had Sheik and Toon Link in the back, but they were reserved for people who had pre-ordered. So I'm pretty confident they'll be securing Lucario on the 30th for people who did pre-order. The lady at the counter even told me you had to have a pre-order on the 30th to get Lucario. We'll see what happens though.

 
Nintendo needs to cool it with the wave 1 fodder. Yes, I understand that we always need Mario on the shelf. But we don't need 50 of the damn things in each store, while at the same time making it impossible to get other figures that we want.
 
Target people, I'm bummed that these new Amiibo will not be sold on 1/30 as I'm very available and very un available 2/1.

Any chance of an instore pick up or just a regular online order morning of 2/1? Or will these puppies just say out of stock Bc of quick turn around?

Even with that many, I don't see them lasting that long. I mean, they're already selling for $100+ and everyone is looking for one.

 
My son was sick so wasn't able to make it out to the TRU that said they'd hold a TL & Sheik for me til the next day (even though I had them pre-ordered). Guess I'll have to hope TL shows up again nearby and will get Sheik from my GS pre-order.  Just gotta pray that the little man and my pregnant wife are both healthy on 1/30 and 2/1 haha!

(Note: I'm not heartless, I obviously hope they're healthy EVERY DAY, just saying that I'd be extra sad if they were sick on those days for obvious amiibo-related reasons)

 
Well lets say there are going to be 12 Rosalina per target store, with 1934 stores in the US that means there will be 23,208 available on launch day. That is to say every store will get 12, which may not be the case. 

 
We also have to believe with a week away and all Targets receiving several more shipments before 2/1, we can see more Rosalina stock before then. There may be a minimum of 12 per store but you would have to think with several months to produce these figures and the fact it is on the Target ad next week, they should get more in. I would like to think that if it is similar to the way that Target handles hard to get consoles on release day, we could be looking at possibly closer to two dozen of these per store. This is not including the ones people preordered online which is still showing my order as active as of today.

any chance Nintendo intentionally handled the first 2 waves the way they did so now everyone buys every figure in the next couple of waves?

people who normally would only buy 1 or 2 figures in wave 3 will now buy all of them because they don't know when and if they will get a chance to buy them at a future date?

I keep thinking about that post a few pages back in which someone mentioned a guy at a TRU loaded all 35 Lucarios on the shelf into a cart and tried to buy them all. It's going to happen here if TRget doesn't impose any restrictions, and 23,000 Rosalinas are going to be owned by like 2,500 people.

Possibly.

I was interested in them due to never really having a chance to own stuff like this from Nintendo. I had interest in most but not all of them. I had Samus first and liked the way it looked with the quality. Next I wanted a Villager, which I found. Then it snowballed from there.

After Marth, WFT, Villager and LM came in from my eBay purchase from a person/place in Japan, I bought the rest of wave one and two. It was a high price for the four at once, but I only waited on one package so it was worth the extra cost.

I looked at the cost for the four Amiibos separately. Villager and LM were the most expensive followed by Marth then WFT. The shipping with tracking was included and I paid a few extra dollars for EMS. I was willing to pay a little extra to get them all at the same time.

I did the same thing for the store exclusives.

So 2/1 is only Rosalina, Bowser, Toon Link, and Shiek at Target, too?  Was hoping to try to get Ike and DeDeDe from there at launch, since those are the only two non-retailer exclusive ones I want from Wave 3.  :(

Yeah, that probably applies to a good portion of people. I originally wanted to collect all the Smash figures, but thought I'd be ablebto take my time and gradually collect them, then realized if I don't grab them now, no idea if I'll be able to get them again. I'm enjoying it, as I like collecting, but it is a little frustrating.

I think there are people that would not be interested in let's say Ike, but now that Marth is so hard to get maybe they just get him in case. Also, since no one truly knows how rare each figure will be, there are a lot of people who preordered the entire cast of Wave 3. If wave 1 and 2 were well stocked like Disney infinity, I bet there would be a lot of people that would wait on certain figures and just get them when they had the chance/$$$ to do so.

Now it's like all are gold and people are preordering at multiple locations.

 
Also, if Nintendo truly didn't know how popular figures like WFT, Marth, and Villager would be, they should learn from wave 2 and now have firm preorder numbers on each character of wave 3(and 4 when they are avail to preorder) so I would expect/hope(fine line with Nintendo) that they have preorders PLUS enough for walk ins.

If not, they limit themselves.

At some point, if it is this tough to get figures, I would think people would stop buying them.  For now it's a hunt, but over time it will grow old and people just won't have the fight to keep it going.   I know I'm growing tired of checking everyday for wave 4 preorders.  And frustrated that Mario Party 10 bundles are lasting only hours.  At some point people will just say "f" it.

They carry separate figures from previous series for Infinity and Skylanders...so you're wrong.

 
Maybe when Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars Edition hits, everyone will switch to collecting Chewbacca and leave the amiibos alone for people who actually want to keep them. :p

 
Holy crap I just want Sheik to get released elsewhere since all four-six sold out the morning they hit the TRU floor. I was able to get Bowser and TL, but god DAMN is this bothering me that I can't find a Sheik.

I have an extra one to trade people for ones I can't find. If I find all the ones I need ill be happy to send it to you at what it cost me. Just in case you don't find it. I know some states have a hard time finding certain ones.

Dunno if its been posted yet but the NintendoWorld website has the Mario Party Amiibo release date as March 20th, same as the MP10 release. If you were thinking the Mario was gonna be a timed exclusive of some sort, doesn't look like that's gonna be the case
