especially since Sony and MS only want to sell us the insanely-priced deluxe editions and, even worse, only sell the GTA V version with the free shark cash or w/e. No Rockstar, $70 for GTA V and in-game money is NOT a deal. Just because I discount the crap in my hand by 30% doesn't mean I should be bragging about my generosity.

Yup, it was clearly named April Fools Flash Sale. Probably just to get people talking about it and joking whether it existed or not. Things usually don't go live till 2pm. Usually Friday, too, but maybe we'll get back to back April Fools and Easter sales.

Plenty of solid titles this year on Vita -- Oreshika, toukiden, Brandish (psp, but still), Atelier (not my thing, but still), Grim Fandango, Neptunia 2, kic & fennick, suikoden 2 (ps1), helldivers, la mulana, olli olli 2, hotline miami 2, Soldner x2, metal slug 3, and more.

If you can't find enough games in there to have fun and fill up your time across multiple genres (rpg, hunting, shmup, platforming, puzzle, etc) then I don't know what to say. And i'm sure i'm forgetting stuff.

Between games like Oreshika, Operation Abyss (drpg coming soon), and a couple others (and Bloodborne) i don't even know when i'm going to get to my backlog like i had planned this year.

And maybe the whole April Fools Flash Sale is a cruel Aprils Fool joke. Probably is.

Do you really not understand what permanent price drops are? They're instigated by the publishers to set the new MSRP for the game, enabling for the potential of better sales. Sony doesn't have anything to do with it other than complying with their wishes. It's best not to call other morons when you don't understand basic concepts like that.

I have no trouble finding games. I just get miffed when the system is omitted from sales that thematically pertain. As is the case with the current Batman sale, I'd love to try the Batman game on the Vita, but for some reason that was left out of a Batman sale and I am pretty sure it is the only Batman game left out of the sale.

Generally, when I buy the code on the rewards site, as soon as I complete the transaction, there is a button that says "Get Your Coupon" which shows the code right then and there on the very page. So, unless that changed from last month when I did this, there is no reason to wait for the email.

Did you check your purchase history? You should be able to locate it - I just did mine from last month...

Dat Batman sale though.

Glad I got Arkham City free from PS+ because I traded in the disc long before it. Played the hell out of AC, but never got around to playin' the DLC I already had. Yet, I bought the Nightwing and Harley DLC last night to go with it lol.

Had Arkham Origins for the longest, but never got around to playin' it at all because I was waitin' for the season pass to go on sale. It's about damn time! Copped with the quickness.

I'm gonna be on Batman overload which should hold me over until June.

It can only mean that they are running short on the $10 codes. A lot of people showered a lot of (unwarranted) attention on the codes, owing to the point expirations :) Sony was not prepared.

Look at it this way, while the order is pending, your points cannot expire. :) I hope you get yours soon.

Me too. I really want to play that Batman game but its not on sale like every other batman game.

 
While I'm not terribly discouraged with the PS+ games this month (mainly because of Killzone), it bummed me out to learn that GwG members over on X1 get Child of Light. I haven't really followed GwG at all, since I never plan on owning an Xbox, but when did their free games get better than Sony's?

Now I can't rightfully pay for it, knowing it's been free for others.

Once the order is complete a link to it will show in the purchase history. Open it and then there will be a link to get the code. I think it took mine nearly two days to show up.

you seem to be upset about me pointing out the Axiom Verge error (which is still in error, btw). Oh well.

Anyway, Thief "25% off" implies a sale/temporary discount, not a permanent price drop. But that creates an idea - maybe there should be a "Permanent Price-Drops" category. Because nothing from the above implies that.

Everything shows up in the weekly deals section, even new games with launch (limited time) free DLC. There are sections like price drops, bundles, etc for people who want to know what is what.

I guess there really is still no comparison. Rayman Legends is awesome, Pool Nation is addicting, and I really want Child of Light. But in the same time frame, PS4 users got (will get) 7 games. I've only played Valiant Hearts so far, but I'm eager to play Counterspy, Aaru, and Never Alone. I'll get to Oddworld eventually, too. But then you have February, which wasn't even close. Rogue Legacy is like video game crack, even more so when you can play it anywhere (Vita). Transistor is amazing, and Apatheon was a welcome surprise.

Guess I'll just have to get Child of Light next time it hits 50% off.

Yeah, I get that. I was responding to someone who implied that I should have known that "Thief 25% off" meant a permanent price drop. Not only is that not apparent in anyway, but I think he's wrong as there's no evidence that $40 is Thief's new MSRP...

I have not played valiant hearts yet, but counterspy is a blast. Cross save like crack legacy is. (Rogue legacy... ;) )

Edit: apotheon... A prime example of a game I would never have even looked at. Free with ps+ and the game ended up being great. I need to go back and finish it..

Believe it or not, Sony's having an April Fool's Flash Sale. I guess they're trying to be ironic? Kind of wide spread, some Ubi and EA, but also some psp/vita stuff. Oh, and some NIS and Square Enix stuff if you're into that. Flash sale link on web store, and I'm guessing the console stores too. Odd that it isn't on a friday like Flash sales usually are... maybe Frisky's right and we'll get an Easter sale too. Prices are pretty good for this one, 60-80% off.

It's actually pretty genius of Sony, as I'm sure some of you are debating hard whether to check or not. Not my fault, blame Sony for having a sense of humor.

They get Child of Light, you get Killzone. You can't please everyone. There will be two very good retail Plus games in April, in which Killzone is one of them with the other being Dishonored, a much, much better game than Killzone.

Yeah? You don't need a 64g card though, and you should be able to get one for $85 anyway. And if you have a ps+ sub, you never actually need to buy games. By the end of the year I'll probably have 400 vita/psp/ps1 games to play on my vita. Favorite system of all time, even if right now Bloodborne has me distracted.

 
affa, you got a lot of games.

I'm pretty happy with my Vita. I agree that the PS+ games will keep me busy indefinitely.

I understand slidecage probably wants AAA games but to be honest, my console with my big TV is where I want to play the big games.

I am happy that we're getting Killzone since I didn't want to pay for it.  I would be a lot more happy if I got a new Uncharted or Sly Cooper but that's not going to happen, so I accept it.

Indies and all the PS1 RPGs are good enough...and the newest DS is what 170 to play Pokemon. Sure less than 300 but still a lot of money.

I know my arguments aren't going to convince anybody but I'm happy.

@ EldritchOnRye I get what you're sayin'. If I feel like I'm burned out on Batman towards the release of Arkham Knight, I'll hold off on buyin' it and wait for it to go on sale. I just want to make sure I get the most of out AC and AO before movin' on.

Oh yeah, I intend to wait until at least BF for AK so I'm going to play Origins this month then Asylum and City again down the road.

 
@ Gedemer It's definiely worth the time man.

@ EldritchOnRye I started re-downloadin' AC and all the DLC, but I'm goin' to play AO first then go back to AC just to play the DLC.
