The Official Craigslist Finds Thread Vol. 2

Where on Facebook can you see people selling stuff locally?
If you use the search bar on the top of the facebook page, you can usually search for for sale groups, yard sale, thrift groups, buy and sell groups, or something like that. just make sure you look for them in your area, so put your town or county or whatever. I'm in about 20 different local groups, and then some retro game groups as well, but the deals their are harder to come by, atleast on the cheap ;)

New weekly pickups video up, if you have a chance, check it out, like, sub, comment and all that. If not just check out the pic ;)

Recently got a special edition Pokémon Black version DSi with a Pokémon black case for only $30. It is in amazing shape with only a few light scratches on the top.

Picked up a vita, carry case, 8gb card, imports of Senra Kagura, Akiba strip 2(same version as new us release), then US versions of gravity rush, ffx/x2, demon gaze, sorcery saga, dangan ronpa 1 and 2, and freedom wars all mint for $200.

I finally replaced my broken GameCube today, and the guy threw in ssb, metroid prime, Mario kart and loz OoT. Pretty psyched since I got it all for the price I wanted to spend on just the console.

Saw an ad at 630 am local time the guy said he bought a Xbox One and it came with Unity and Black Flag codes. Said he had 0 interest in those games so he was giving them away so email for either one or the other..
took a shot and emailed him and he sent me the code for AC Unity for free.. had little interest in it but my son is obsessed so I'm excited lol

Just picked up a 250gb 360s with 2 controllers for $50 it's flawless.. only stipulation was I had to make a 35 minute drive in under a half hour lol

Am I an ass for doing this? I was going to sell some speakers for $15 to someone at some point today, originally asked 25. Then earlier today I had another guy offer 25. I asked the guy who originally wanted it if he could pay 20 instead and he got mad at me :/

I have people tell me that they have someone else willing to pay $xx, I need +$xx out of it.  Nine out of ten times the seller is just trying to squeeze some more juice from you.  I let them walk and I normally get a call back from them.  He probably thinks you're doing the same.

I hate backing out of a deal, but as far as I'm concerned it's not a deal until I have money or the item in my hand.

If it were me, I take the money unless it's someone you know.  An extra $10 sounds better in my pocket than someone else's.

I have it happen to me sometimes as well where someone asks if I can pay the original price instead of a lower price I offered.

I thought paying $5 more wouldn't be a big deal but I guess not. Won't be attempting that again.

Bought a PS2 bundle today for $60.  Was worried that the guy would flake on the deal, but he did eventually show up.

What I got in the bundle was:

White slim PS2 w/ 1 Silver Dual Shock 2 controller & 1 white Dual Shock 2 controller

Singstar Pop w/ 2 microphones

Guitar Hero 1, 2 & 3 w/ 2 wireless guitars

Thrillville

Madagascar

Spongebob Squarepants: Lights, Camera, Pants!

Ski-doo SnowxCrossing

Super Monkey Ball Deluxe

Super Monkey Ball Adventure

I just bought a lot of stuff from a guy who was selling his kids old stuff. It was all in a picture, with no descriptions of the items.

White Xbox 360 console with cords
SNES console with cords
about 300 pokemon cards(there are some good cards)
Pokemon special pikachu edition Gameboy game in box

In the picture, I thought the pokemon game was just complete, but when I picked the stuff up it turns out that it's SEALED! I only paid $80 for all of it, and the sealed Pokemon game sells for $250.

Seems like Craigslist has been dying for the most part in terms of good deals.

I did just get this like 30 min ago under the free section

 - DS lite in box w/ no charger

 - few game cases (Mario, Spyro, etc.) but no games :/

 - PS2 with hook ups

 - few PS2 games like GTA, Ace Combat

 - PS1

It was only about 5 minutes away and I saw it after it was posted for 5 minutes so I took a ride over and grabbed it. E-mailed them and thanked them and said keep me in mind for anything else.

PS4 1 controller 5 games.. good price @ $325? Games are Evolve (selling or trading in I hated demo), Dragon Age, Wolfenstein, kill zone and infamous

Got my first PSP off a local Facebook group.  Paid $65 for all.  Not a great deal, but pretty good for something I've been meaning to get.

I got this for free:

I haven't tested it (because I don't have a working 360), but the lady said she couldn't get to to sync with her 360. I have a feeling it was user error after watching a youtube video on it.

Paid $11 for this lot:

Games are complete, NV has all the extras (no game).

WTF WHat were those games
Donkey Kong Counrty Tropical Freeze

Mario Kart 8

Skyward Sword

and another Mario Kart 8

Mario Kart 8's went to Walmart for 80 dollars. Topical Freeze sold on Amazon for 53. And skyward sword + Twilight Princess for 63 on Ebay (For whatever reason they sell for way more together than seperated)

I just picked up this keyboard, brand new, for $20. Kind of wish I kept it sealed. Was going to use it on my coffee table for my game consoles but I really wish it was wireless :/ The backlighting is sweet though.

Got GameCube with GBA adapter and disc Twilight Princess and 2 other games for $30.. Happy I caught this because I was regretting selling my copy of Twilight Princess for $60 last week

Had a chance at the New Super Mario Bros 2 special edition 3DS XL with complete copies of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire for 90$ local, but passed, just not a fan of the 3DS, especially the XL.

Picked up all this for $100.

  • Spyro: A New Beginning
  • Custom Robo
  • Tales of Symphonia
  • Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 (I should have checked this more b/c I though it was Budokai Tenkaichi 3 but it's just Budokai 3)
  • Kirby Epic Yarn
  • Zelda: Twilight Princess
  • Super Smash Bros 64
  • Donkey Kong 64
  • Pokemon Stadium

You could still sell the Budokai Tenkaichi 3 case/manual/bonus disc for $20-$25 on eBay(without the regular budokai 3 disc).

Epic find today! Someone on fb posted about a Gamecube a few weeks ago. I need one to test games on so I messaged her. She said $15 for it. I go there and it's in great shape but it also came with a Game Boy Player and the Start Up Disc. Both in like new condition! Also came with Nascar Dirt to Daytona. I was going to throw it away until I saw that it sells for $20 for just the disc.

Solid CL find yesterday, right in my small town so I didn't even spend gas to get there.

10$ got me, one working Dualshock 2, one broken Dualshock 2, 2 6 foot controller extensions ad a broken PS2 slim (AKA 25$ Gamestop giftcard).

[attachment=13820:IMG_4067.JPG]

$20 for all of it. The cart-only games are Mario Party DS, Mario Party Advance, Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros 3, Club Penguin, and Sonny With a Chance. Inside the carrying case are screen protectors and an extra stylus.

Sounds like a bunch of kids flunked their classes this month. :}

Seriously though, I'd say bring along a brawny friend and meet the seller at a public place. Always the best policy for CL.

lately I be seeing a bunch of ps4 consoles on craigslist selling around 140-180$ is this legit ?
Pretty much all those crazy good PS4 or XBox One ads are just spammers. After you contact them you get a message like

"Hey sorry, I sold it already but I originally got it for only two bucks anyways on scambids.com or someother shitty site"

Today was a bummer. Was supposed to be the warmest day of the year( mid 70s ), only found 3 sales after driving around for a hour so I gave up after that.

And with this find, my game hunting budget is 100% empty, jumped on CL and spotted an ad with a bunch of random stuff in it posted yesterday, made an offer on everything and he took it.

Here's the list.

Gamecube:

Indigo Gamecube with GBA Player and no cords or controllers

Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness in a Hollywood Video case

Pokemon Colosseum disc only

Need for Speed Most Wanted disc only

Nintendo DS/3DS:

Cobalt Blue DS Lite in great shape with charger

Pokemon Heartgold

Pokemon Diamond

Pokemon Black 2

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity

PSP

Final Fantasy Crisis Core

Sims 2 Castaway

GTA: Liberty City Stories

PS2 (All disc only)

Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly

Pac man World 2

Need for Speed Carbon

GTA: Liberty city Stories

Battlefield 2

PS1 (disc only)

Spyro: Ripto's Rage

Spec Ops: Stealth Assault

Ms Pac Man on the SNES and a disc only Just Dance for the Wii

Total was 135$ which is more than fair considering the sheer amount of Pokemon stuff, and most of this I actually didn't already have.

Someone's selling an Xbox One on CraigsList for (bites knuckle) $130. Now I wasn't really interested in that particular game system, but for the price it's kind of hard to resist. I'm really really hoping someone else claims it before I do, so I'll have an excuse not to spend the money on something I don't need.

Seems almost too good to be true. Do they have a weird looking email address at the bottom of the description? If so it's a scam. There's been a lot of those on my local CL latey.

It's a Yahoo address, disguised to deter spammers. Or so I thought.

You're probably right, though. They haven't responded, and if they don't soon, I'm just gonna forget about it.

That's to get you to use your real e-mail address. If you just use the craigslist e-mail they never see your real one, but by e-mailing directly you are on their list til the end of time.

Lovely. Oh well, I used my own Yahoo address, which is one big spam filter anyway.

EDIT: Looked in my spam folder, and there it was... "I just sold it to some guy, but you can get one for yourself at CrapPennyBids.com!" Uh, no thanks.

Yeah, anytime I see PS4's or X1's for below $200, I know it's a scam. Especially if the email is like this "~~~~~~piggypiggy @ g m a i l .com~~~~@~~~." Just screams "send me junkmail". They also don't provide a phone number which is more fishy.
