The old thread hadn't been updated in quite some time, so I decided to make a new one. If you happen to see a sale not listed in the OP, go ahead and post it and I will be sure it's added. The same goes for anything listed that has expired as most sales have no set time frame, let me know and I will remove expired sales. Thanks!

It's funny not funny, I really wanted Dead Space in that deal. I currently have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition with Kit Kat, and a Nexus 6 with Lollipop. Neither of them are compatible. My old phone, a Samsung Galaxy S3 with Kit Kat, is though. What's up with that?
Download the game on your old compatible devices and then backup the .apk w/ ES File Explorer and the transfer that it to your non-compatible device. Then just install that .apk on your non-compatible device. See if that works.

Amazon deactivated the "old" version of Toca Cars and replaced it with an Underground-only version.  All my devices now say "incompatible" with the old version I used to own (and the store page still says "You bought this on Dec 22, 2013..."

Had a snippy chat with customer service whose only solution was to call me and tell me in person to just use the Underground version with usage tracking.  When I said I didn't need a phone call, they said there was nothing they could do to help me then.

I'll use up the rest of my Amazon coins but I sure as hell ain't spending another penny in the Amazon app store.

I guess that explains why they didn't give a shit when it was raining free amazon filthy lucre after the gta:vice shitty coinz fiasco. They knew underground was coming and they were going to deactivate all the games bought with Amazon shekels. Well played amazon, we'll played...

I hate fucking underground, it's a pile of shit.

Underground doesn't run very well on my phone. Course my phone is pretty old, but at least the Amazon app store worked somewhat without being slow and such.

Just noticed the same thing. My kids are too old for that now anyway, but it does suck if they are planing to do that with other apps. It could be a mistake. Maybe you can try contacting Toca Boca about it. Maybe via Twitter or Facebook. Amazon's customer service probably won't be able to do anything. They are likely just some call call center in India answering basic billing/shipping questions for customers.

In happier news, the Toca Cars thing came up because we wanted to upgrade my son's aging Nabi 2 tablet.  The battery was getting weak and it was out of storage space.  Although it has an SD card slot, the "layered" OS (Nabi software over the Android) meant that you could only store photos & music on the SD card, not apps.  Pretty useless.  Still, we liked the interface and the ruggedness so I looked at the Nabi 2S.  Turns out that it has twice the storage (16GB vs 8GB) but half of it is taken up by bloatware that can't be uninstalled.

So I decided to buy him a Lenovo Tab 2 A8 and this tablet bumper. And then I installed Kids Place on it for free and slapped a 32GB SD card into it.  The result is a great little tablet that fits well in its bumper and has the same kid friendly interface plus excellent battery life and tons of room for his many, many educational and story apps. Plus, it came out to the same as the Nabi 2S would have cost ($125).

Not an "Android deal" but I was very pleased with the final result and figured if anyone was Christmas shopping for young kids this year, maybe it'd be worth knowing.

So I suspect this is a silly question and the answer is no, but other than the Shadowrun Returns series and infinity engine games, are there any decent isometric wrpgs on Android, ports or not.

Someone tell Bethesda to license the first two Fallouts to a mobile developer stat.

Well there's Knights of the Old Republic, still Bioware but a little later than the Infinity stuff. Shadowrun Dragonfall is also there now. Bard's Tale. There's also Avadon and Avernum but they are super old school.

It's kind of hard to fish out the WRPGs because like 99.99999999999% of what's on there RPGwise is of Asian origin.

Yeah, I also have KOTOR. Avadon and Avernum look just a little too dated. Got Dragonfall. I think I might own Bard's Tale on Android from a humble bundle. Never played it before, might be worth a shot. What are the thoughts in general on character customization, story choice, and lastly actual gameplay on an android device?

Yeah, unfortunately if I wanted an asian style rpg there's tons to choose from. A good western style rpg with some depth seems much harder to track down. Even more so an isometic. You'd think the renaissance of isometrics on the computer might have lead to some more ports or original effort for android.

Cool. Was hoping to get it for free.

Me too. I was worried I was going to miss out on it, because of the BTTF event ending on Google Play. I thought the Amazon Underground wasn't going to get the update. I ended up getting it on Google Play when it was 40% off ($5.99). I did just use my free credit Google Opinion Rewards, but it does kind of suck that I could have gotten it for free. Oh and they ended up extending the deadline on Google Play anyway and dropped it to 60% off.

If you link your Facebook account to the Amazon Underground Jetpack Joyride and then log in with that same account on Google Play version you can get all the free coins and add-ons that you got for free.

The Back to the Future event for Jetpack Joyride ends in 2 days and 8 hours. Might be the last time to get the Back to the Future pack for free via the Amazon Underground version of Jetpack Joyride.

The Back to the Future Forever pack is available for $0.00 via The Stash in the game.

Also, if you want to get the Marty, Doc, and Biff costumes you need to collect enough Flux Capacitors during the event period. Once they are unlocked you'll keep them forever.

I bought an app on Amazon with coins today and it charged me more coins in sales tax.  Is that new?

I mean, sales tax obviously isn't new but I wouldn't have expected to pay it on Amazon coins.

Board game adaptation Alhambra is on sale at Google Play for $2.69 and at Amazon for $2.99.  I've been watching this for a long time, and this is the first time I've seen it less than its normal price of $5.99.

If anyone is interested, Amazon is selling the 500 gb Nvidia Shield Pro streaming device in a bundle with the Shield Remote for $274.99 right now. I went ahead and picked one up this morning since it was nearly a $75 savings.

On a bummer note, apparently Humble Bundle will no longer be doing mobile bundles (although their other bundles may include Android games).

Got a good chunk of my game library via HB (especially when I first got an Android device).

they won't be doing bundles every 2 weeks they will instead have specail bundles from time to time and likely include them more often in weekly bundles

Changes to the Humble Mobile Bundle

You may have noticed that we took down the “Mobile Bundle” tab at the top of our site today. That doesn’t mean mobile bundles are gone! It simply means that we’re updating the way we do mobile bundles. Instead of having a new mobile bundle every two weeks, we will be putting mobile games in more places across the site and will feature special mobile bundles throughout the year. To get your mobile fix on a more regular occasion, you’ll still be able to find mobile games in the Humble Store. We will also include mobile versions of games in other bundles such as the Humble Weekly Bundle when we can (including the current Humble Weekly Bundle: Made in Singapore, which features two Android games). If you’d like to know more about our mobile game offerings, we suggest following @humblemobile on Twitter, which we will use for upcoming mobile announcements about games in the store and in bundles.
i can't wait for the next monthly bundle to be half mobile games :p

it doesn't matter to me much anyways as the mobile bundles rarely interested me as games with any movement with an on screen joystiq or d pad are an instant no for me as I just can't find enjoyment with them.

Yeah that blows. I'm not interested in having to buy bundles with pc games that I won't ever use. I don't game on pc, so ugh!

The people in the Humble thread said the opposite about mobile games. It seems they managed to annoy both groups. :p
it's worse for the other side.

at least for people who just want mobile games you can just sell the steam PC keys to other people.

the mobile games will just be there doing nothing as they typically aren't codes but special DRM free versions of games.

I'm indifferent I game wherever. though I still wonder what ever happened to https://ikoid.com/ as they were going to leave beta like a year ago and never came back lol.
