I'm in the same boat. Getting Suikoden and Digimon. It won't have the launch dlc unfortunately. But I don't wanna wait for the next time it goes on sale!

I'm short by $1. So now I gotta add $5. Curse you archaic system.

 
Did Digimon have some sort of DLC that you had to have the game to get? I don't have the game, but I know there were some free DLC packs that came out that I bought in advance.

I keep debating if I wanna go balls deep in that collection or just move on with my life

maybe the 1-6 collection when it hits under 10 bucks but my ocd never allows just some

anyone else in my boat?

 
Heavy Rain is on sale but they only shaved 10% off. Cant bite especially after seeing Beyond 60% off. Will wait a few months and hopefully they drop it like that

Preorder/launch DLC that only came packaged with the digital version for a month or so, separate from those free DLCs.

Can anyone recommend Catherine? I dont have a PS3 anymore but I plan on getting one again. Im also really hoping that the PS "NEO" will be backwards compatible....

NEO will not be backwards compatible. That's pretty much why PS Now exists.

Catherine is a phenomenal game that should be played by everyone.

Regardless of how PS Now is doing, doing backwards compatibility is very difficult to achieve from a technical/architecture point of view. Unless they significantly beefed up the hardware with custom hardware accelerators. which from the current leaks and the rumored price point, seems highly unlikely.

Not that I wouldn't want to replace my two PS3's.

yep, been on sale at amazon constantly, dropping as low as $30 from their warehouse deals page, upper $30s new. also trades in for $40 at gamestop (with 50% promo, assuming they dont drop the value) so i plan to trade it in and buy digital.

There are some black virus digimon that you can only get with the day one dlc (it's not necessary except that it shortcuts you through some digivolutions without camaraderie levels, or for completion's sake)

No it isnt. The NEO is a barely amped up PS4, roughly 33% more CPU and an approx doubling on GPU in terms of CUs and some more ram access and higher clock speed.

This thing is pretty much just to make sure all games moving forward hit that 1080 / 60 mark with roughly solid IQ.

There is nothing there that will magically let the system play PS3 games BC. It is the exact same chipset. It cannot emulate a Cell processor. Maybe if the thing was running a high level i7 you could start to consider it. It's just not the same.

Honestly, if they could find some way to combine PSNow with your disc library or a local file to offset the streaming that is how they could do BC on PS4+ .

I am sorry to be the bringer of bad news. Its just that the architecture of the PS3 all but prevents emulated BC. What MS is doing on Xbone is amazing, but even then a PPC isn't anything like a custom made Cell.

 
pcgamesupply says they take major credit cards but there is no option on their site to add one? it only has pay with paypal option, help.

Is Ragnarok Odyssey Ace closer to an ARPG with a story? Or closer to a Monster Hunter clone? Seems like I've read conflicting things. And I think I am burned out on the various MH wannabes on Vita/PSTV.
 
I'm disappointed that I'm disappointed in this sale.  Seemed like you could reliably count on an Atelier game or two going on sale for half off.  40%?  Come on.  Just a little bit more would be nice. 

 
I have the original Ragnarok Odyssey, and there's very little story. There is a decent amount of backstory and setup, but the gist of it is Attack Monsters/Defend Fort from Giant Monsters.

Ragnarok seems to be far less methodical than other games of its type IMO. It's not an entirely brainless hack & slash; if you go in later levels without thinking you will die. But if you just recognize enemy patterns and gear up according to what you're up against you'll be fine.

Thinking about  getting Oreshika because I don't think I'll ever find the physical copy with English for cheap anytime soon.  Also, Hatoful Boyfriend and the holiday one look weird enough to be interesting.  Might get the PS1 games just to have a digital version.  Don't have Tron Bon though so that is a must buy for me.
