Me too. However, I prefer having lots of choices when it comes to gaming, so I like having a nice backlog. What would help me is if I stopped buying games period and just played what I own right now. Or stopped posting on CAG as much and just play!

This applies to at least 90% of this threads' members. Problem is, when you make that declaration and try to stick to it, some game you want goes on sale during the very next sale and you're back to square one. Microsoft owns us.

Guess the new GwG games will hit tomorrow. The XBL games are so much better than the PS+ games that it isn't funny. Microsoft is just killing it with GwG and BC...

Thought the exact same thing when I looked at their current thread. Their sales are better, but GwG and BC slay. I never seem to have a problem finding plenty to buy, though, in the Xbox store...
 
So what's the deal with the Halo Wars 2 update exactly? Has anyone just had the 10 GB update or has it been the full game again 100% of the time? I'm afraid to start it because even though I can pause it I feel if it's something they can fix I don't want to get stuck with the larger download.

On that note, i am curious about that redemption date. I have been seeing it on all of my BING rewards for Xbox. I wonder if they will extend the date for next June or does this mean these specific rewards, such as Xbox Live rewards will just no longer be available after June 30th?

I am working on that, have not bought a disc game for Xbox for quite a while now (except WWE 2K17 and Dishonored 2 collectors edition), even the cheap ones. Have started going through my games that I know will most likely play once, finishing them and then putting aside to trade.

 
Been some amazing hockey this playoff season. Boy that was some Rangers/Senators game today. I'm a little wiped after double OT... and then I'm watching the chaotic 1st period of the Pens/Caps game now.

Finally picked up Axiom Verge, $3 cheaper thanks to Bing Balance, don't know when I'll be able to play it though lol.

I'm trying to play through Mass Effect: Andromeda but I like to really set my teeth into it so like to play in 1 to 2 hour play sessions. I gotta play GTA V this weekend, log in and grab the tax refund promo - ends the 30th - and get into Forza Horizon 3's Forzathon events. Hastag firstworldproblems

That's the challenge. I personally don't buy games knowing they're trash*, but I do buy games based on word of mouth even though they don't sound that interesting to me personally. Those tend to clog up the backlog.

I'm willing to try unknown stuff if it looks/sounds interesting and is the right price, I just stick to a few ground rules since there are always more classics I haven't played and may never get too. Basically no licensed stuff, series I know I don't like (like CoD), or games that have a garbage reputation. I'll bend the licensed game rule for something I'm really into, I bought the Eureka Seven PS2 games, and I'll eventually get the Platinum TMNT game.

Not trash persee but it's not the best stuff out there, this in regards when I had Gamefly. I'd just play all the decent or so so games and not any of the really good ones. The tempting keep it and sales also built up my backlog to a point where I will never touch some of my games.

Is it truly a luxury tent if the internet in it is crap?

That said, nothing for me except maybe whatever Neo Geo game comes out. Probably will play Prey and possibly Flatout down the line but not for some time I'd imagine.

 
Heads up...If anyone is planning on getting Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, beware. The framerate is complete shit, like it feels like it runs as sub-30fps. Also, the graphics feel like a slight upgrade from a late 2011 Xbox 360 game. Not to mention I ran into a few bugs in the prologue like enemies that won't spawn and also the bewilderingly long load screens. I feel like it's unplayable on a personal level. I'm on the phone with Xbox support trying to see if they can refund me. I've never called them before for this issue.

Glad I cancelled my preorder after they released the season pass free on XBL.

Maybe they'll patch it at some point to run properly, and I can grab it for $15 or less.

 
Dreamfall, Prey and Guardians I'll get when they eventually go on sale. Pretty hyped for all three of those, but I can patiently wait till later this year for deals.

Unless they put out a patch for the Scorpio version, it'll still look and run underwhelming as fuck even if they fix all the bugs. I'd hold off on buying it at all but that's just me. I'm sure some people will find some enjoyment in the game and look past all the issues I had.

This week's lack of sales was great because it gave me the time and focus to return to Fallout 4. It's not as fun as Fallout 3 (in my opinion, that game was one of my GOAT), but there's a lot to do, and I don't even own any of the DLC. I've found that taking the time to actually play a game instead of buying more games can be its own little reward.

Same here. Would love to get the 360 ones on sale so we get the free cross-buy on X1.

I went to the Pinball Museum in Seattle last July. It was fun as hell. Think I spent five hours there playing dozens of tables. My fav was the Guns n Roses one from the 90's. My feet hurt so bad when I got back to the hotel that night. Totally worth it

I put time into Jack and Garrus and they kill them ( and everyone else). I thought Shepard was in Mass Effect 3, but the cover I have for the game shows a woman.
Better than the first game just as you guys said.

Now what should I play in May?  I thought about Dante's Inferno and Gun for a while. But now I'm thinking the first Black Ops or Dead Space due to that BC news.

I tried Gun after I played Red Dead Redemption and Gun felt very antiquated since it was one of those up-rezzed PS2/original Xbox games. Dante's Inferno is supposed to be the closest thing to God of War on 360. I would try that one next.

I Say Gun because I loved that game on the Gamecube and I'm morbidly curious how well it holds after two generations later of open world games and Red Dead Redemption.

Also the game gave you an upgrade option to scalp people, for really no reason. Like it doesn't give you any items for doing so or you can't trade them in for anything, it's more "hey, how much of an asshole are you to take the time to take someone's scalp clean off their head?"
