So, after playing a shit ton of Fortnite, I got the copy of CoD from Costco. I hereby renounce my hate for the MP (mostly). I think they have improved the feel a bit. Because it's a ton better than it was at launch. I'm actually enjoying it.

I'm honestly shocked at the low rep this game has among most gamers. Ubisoft must have seriously fucked this game up. It's too bad, because I thought the beta was decent but after being constantly 1 v 2'd, I really don't wanna play unless I have a buddy.

I own the game and would team up if you'd like. I really only enjoyed the 1v1 and 2v2 modes because the others were so chaotic. Haven't played much lately, but I was really good with Orochi for a while

I do and absolutely appreciate your work on it.

As for this week, highly recommend Thumper (have it on PS4). Awesome, unique rhythm game with blazing racing speed and a dark horror-ish setting. Brilliant game.

Yeah, keep doing it, I think it spurs discussion unless we're in a really off-topic mood when it's posted.

Wasn't there some way to play a pre-ordered game early by switching regions? It'd be nice to play Sonic today but looking around maybe what I'm thinking of is gone, as people are saying it depends on the region you bought it in.

It seems you should be able to use this trick to get the uncensored version of Conan Exiles from Europe though. 

"Good thing Xbox One has no region restrictions. For those in NA just buy it digitally and as soon as the download starts, cancel it. Go to Settings > System > Region > UK > Download the game from the ready to install list and then do the same steps to go back to US/Canada.

Also lets take a minute to appreciate Double Dragon Neon. Just downloaded it off game pass and feel like a fool for not playing it previously. Game is seriously soooooooooooooooo good.

 
Played some Agents Of Mayhem at a gaming convention over the weekend. Met a couple of reps from Volition and they were really cool. One of them confirmed AOM will get an XBX enhancement but couldn't give specifics. So I had the game preordered and it is definitely a ton of fun to play (like a mix of Borderlands, Crackdown, and Saints Row), but I decided to cancel it and wait until the X comes out to get it.

My nephew will turn 23 in two weeks. Back when the GameCube was being discontinued and could be bought for next to nothing, I gave him the following bundle of joy for his birthday:

- A black GameCube with an official controller and a 4 Mb (512 KB!) memory card.
- An extra third-party (i.e., crappy) controller.
- Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
- Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader
- Metroid Prime

I remember Rogue Leader making many a kids' jaw hit the ground during his birthday party. Mine included... We got two more controllers for maximum awesomeness in Mario Kart soon after.

I could never get into Crackdown. Couldn't stand the guy just yelling the whole damn time. But I love SR3 and SR4 and Borderlands. So will pick this up for sure when cheaper.

This is a groove music promo. Not sure why they chose this tile image, but the background on the actual page I saw a day or two ago is the same zombie image. It's a little misleading.

My Sunday felt empty because I was waiting for this and it never came.

Anywho, I want agents of mayhem, but I want to play gat out of hell first. Never heard of pillars of the earth or thumper but now I'm curious about both. And observer.

@blinknot, I read the posts and appreciate them, just rarely have anything to comment on about them.

For anyone who cares, saw my friend yesterday and spent ~2 hours with her. She's doped up on painkillers and in good spirits, but has a long, slow recovery ahead - physical therapy, a wheel chair, etc. All these posts about early memories have given me something to look at that isn't related to anything traumatic, so thanks again.

I started Sunset Overdrive Sunday morning because the same friend insisted I play it. It's a lot of fun, I'm really enjoying it, and love how much it doesn't take itself seriously. It feels like Saints Row meets InFamous.

According to the Reddit thread I posted above you should be able to buy the US version, change regions temporarily and download the European version.

Changing regions and then buying is against TOS as far as I'm aware.

It's true that purchasing from a different region to bypass content restrictions is against the TOS, but you're also free to purchase from other markets if you just happen to feel like it. Also, do you have to change regions to download, or can you just buy the game from the eu site? Asking for a friend.

In for Agents of Mayhem at $30, so a likely BF buy. Excited about Okami, never got to play it back in the day, but watched a lot of it and loved it.

I've been meaning to return to this game. I will have to start it over, though. It got too frantic and I gave up on it.

Can't say for sure since it's not here quite yet. It sounds like the version you download is based on the region setting you currently have, not the region it's purchased from.

Someone else was talking about having changed their region for The Division to check out if the Arabic script was modified to remove some LGBT stuff, and it basically just downloaded the other region's copy and he could have both installed at the same time.

There's a lot to keep up with, yeah. The mechanics build up really nicely and are a lot more complex than you initially realize, but even after putting it down for 24 hours it took me a minute to find my bearings.

Thought about you and your friend many times over the weekend. Wanted to check on you and her, but you weren't posting and I didn't want to pry. Sorry for her injuries, but glad she is still here and will recover and that you're OK.

So is the game coop or not? Hearing conflicting things.
 
Also, the different region shouldn't affect how you play multiplayer. In that stream I posted they mentioned that they wouldn't specifically be region locking servers, but you will be limited by having too high of a ping, something like 140 I think they said. That will generally mean when playing with randoms you'll normally just be with people within a certain distance regardless of the version you own.

I'm curious if you'll use the same saves if you decide to download both versions. I would think it shouldn't affect multiplayer since the changes are only cosmetic and the theoretical nude Europeans should just have underwear or whatever on the US version.

To add to my previous comment, the guy that said he did the Arabic thing also downloaded Witcher 3 for a younger brother or something because it removed the nudity and sex scenes. We in the States have the reverse of this, but our European friends may want to consider this with Exiles I guess, if you're alright with violence for kids but not genitals like our weirdo country, I assume the partial nudity rating means boobs made it through.

No co-op in Agents of Mayhem. It hurts them more then it hurts me. I might have bought the game on day one (if good reviews) if me and my friends could co-op the campaign online. Back in the day I bought two copies of Saints Row 2 for online co-op.

Since it sounds like dicks will still be accessible if you bother with changing regions, I guess no co-op.

On a more serious note, it's not specifically the nudity for Exiles that bothers me, it's the stupid censorship. Having a game censored for the US audience takes us all the way back to the SNES days.

I started it like a year ago. Didn't get very far and never really got used to the controls. I need to try it again soon. Really wanted to play that game too when I first got my XBox One.

Yeah this is a bit disappointing. Will eventually play it but this lowered my interest a few notches. Had a blast playing part of SR4 with a friend and all of Get out of Hell with another CAG.

Guess it will be cheap faster then though.

I'll get to it eventually because I love their games but It's a huge disappointment.

I hope Gamestop is ready for some backlash with that e-mail.

 
Sunset overdrive is a great game, never tried the DLC but enjoyed the single player the whole way through, played as a female though and have mentioned before the voice really irritated me.

 
The Volition guy said they didn't include co-op because the game was "fundamentally designed from its inception to be a single player experience". He did say they're looking to patch in a co-op mode later on though.
