Please do not post referral links in this thread. There are threads for referral links here.
In an older thread everything went to sh*t once it became full of referrals and it was worthless for anything else.
If that starts happening here, I'll delete the thread and be done with it.

The 25% off referral for something like Assassins Creed is probably the best you’ll see for a long while. I remember Resident Evil 4 (which was the Assassins Creed of 2022 or whenever it came out) took forever to go on sale and only promos would get you a good deal.

I'm planning on getting a Quest 2 tonight, but it doesn't look like any of the games listed as being on sale are actually discounted. Do they only show up as discounted once you have a device active on the account?

I'm not sure if that's the issue, but when I look at the sale while logged out, the sale prices don't show. When I log in they are displayed correctly.

Go here to create a meta account or use a facebook account. Be sure to use a referral link for your headset so you start out with some meta store credit.

Also be sure to use the referral link / set up a Meta account before you activate the headset. And thanks Wampler, the reset method you linked to did work for resetting and entering a referral.

Not in my experience. Mistakes do happen though, so it can't hurt to try it and see. Just keep in mind that if a game over $10 is on sale for less than 25% off and you can't get help from a referral then you're better off waiting till the sale ends. Someone not so long ago reported a promotional code working with a game on sale. These things do happen. I always set the store to ask for a pin so I have to confirm after I've had a chance to try any codes and see the final price they will charge.
Used your referral link for Battle Bows and it worked. $7.49.

Can anyone in here recommend Red Matter 2 (I never played the first) and Nock?
Red Matter 2 is a fine game. I haven't finished it yet, but it is a fun, immersive action/adventure type. Maybe a little heavier on the adventure part. I didn't finish the first game either and I still enjoy RM2, but I get the feeling I I might enjoy it more if I had finished the first. I don't know much about Nock, but it's gotten a lot of great ratings.

Thanks, I’ll probably go for red matter 2 but skip Nock. Not sure if I’d enjoy a multiplayer vr game that much.

Got a Quest 2 recently and was able to take advantage of the $50 off MSRP sale, $50 Target gift card, discounted Newegg Meta cards, and the winter game sale. Feel super good about it so thanks for everyone's updates in this thread.

Just finished the first mission after the tutorial of Iron Man and realllly like it.

In total I snagged...

Iron Man VR
Drop Dead: Dual Strike Edition
Premium Bowling
Vader Immortal 1-3
Walkabout Mini Golf
Asgard's Wrath 2

Still got like $40 but haven't decided what to buy. Maybe Beat Saber.

SideQuest for Quest 2/3 is pretty cool. A lot of free stuff on there I haven't checked out. I installed it for the nostalgic games I want to play in VR.

I already checked out original Doom VR, and have Doom II, Doom 3, Quake, Quake 2, Hexen, Heritic, and Jedi Knight II ready to go.

If anyone knows of a CHEAP Steam key for Prey (2006), please let me know. Everything I'm seeing is $20+.... Really don't want to spend more than $7 for that one, but want to check it out in VR

How are the Vader Immortal games? I have about 44 meta bucks and need to spend it before this sale ends and of course beat saber is great, this is the second time I bought it (PSVR1). Ragnarock is also a good rhythm game but I got that from the Fanatical sale.

They're pretty good. I think they're best for those new to VR or big star wars fans. I don't see a lot of replay value in it. There are a few free trials for some of the games in the sale if you'd like to try before you buy.

As a die hard Star Wars fan I really enjoyed it. Definitely worth getting. I also loved Star Wars Virtual Pinball FX as well. I haven't tried Tales from Galaxy's Edge yet but looking forward to it.

Interesting - I haven't tried out SideQuest. Might see how it is just to play some classic Doom on there and try some other games on it.

Thanks! I haven't tried the Steam app on the Quest so for $2 it's worth it to see how it runs on my Quest 2.
I think so. I haven't had any real issue with the steam app. Maybe a skipped frame here and there, but other than that it's been great. As long as any game isn't too much for someone's pc, I think everything will be great.

Team Beef VR does amazing VR ports of opensource games that they put on SideQuest. All the ones I mentioned above were done by them. You just need to own a copy of the retail game on something like Steam so you can copy the files into the folder on your Quest

Right now nearly every game they have ported is on sale on Steam for a couple bucks

In case someone just got a new quest before checking this out, be sure to use a referral link before you activate your headset to get $30 or $60 store credit depending on which headset you got.

If anyone has already activated their quest without first using a referral link, I hear if you've had it less than seven days you can do a factory reset on the mobile app and then use the link before restarting the quest. It'll clear anything you've downloaded, but you'll get some store credit. Here's where I got that.

And you can use game referral links to save 25% off any regular-priced game $10 or more. You can find referral links here. And here is a link to meta's holiday sale.

Pretty much agree with Wampler. I don't forsee any replay value but I didn't really mind dropping the $20 on 2-3hrs of solid Star Wars VR content. Finished the first one yesterday and reallllly got into it.

A Fisherman's tale is pretty cool. Arizona Sunshine is pretty good, but I think it is showing it's age. These are the only games in the bundle I've played, and I've only played the quest versions, not the pc versions.

Okay, I’ll wait for a different bundle. Thanks again.

Has anyone tried Assassins Creed Nexus on Quest 2? It looks pretty cool, and it's on sale plus I have a $7 credit for some reason but not sure if it'll run okay on my Quest 2 or if that's more designed for the 3 / pro

The game looks pretty good on the quest 2. Framerate takes a hit so it isn't as smooth as most games. Still certainly playable on the quest 2 in my opinion. If you decide to pick it up, you can actually get it a couple dollars cheaper if you wait till the sale is over and use a referral link for the game that saves you 25% off full retail.

A couple new sale prices-
Tennis Esports is $9 off at $20.99

Startenders: Intergalactic Bartending is $7 off at $7.99
Eternal Starlight is $5 off at $14.99
Maskmaker is $8 off at $11.99
We Are One is $7 off at $12.99
Ghost Signal: A Stellaris Game is $6 off at $13.99
