RGB/PC would accept a VGA signal. The only reason you'll see it not labled "vga" is because, technically, it's not a VGA port. VGA is a 640x480 progressive RGB signal. Everything else has it's own name. 800x600 and 1024x768 are SVGA and XGA. My macbook has a display of 1280x800, or WXGA...
