I think this thread is a very good idea even if the execution is weird. It could really come in handy for fans of niche Japanese games as there are a few US releases that are digital only but have physical English releases in Europe or Asia. Lots of Vita games get this treatment in other regions...

I'm CST at a Walmart that said they had them. There is no line but I've talked to an electronics employee. The lady working in electronics told us to just wait around until midnight. It's just me and my brother. They told me one per customer on the phone so they might not have too many.

I called another Walmart and they didn't know much about what I was talking about BUT they were super helpful, figured it out, found some on a truck, and will have them available at midnight. Plan to show up around 11 PM. Hoping that's early enough.

Considering getting the Space Dandy Premium Edition from Funi and subbing to their service for a month to get the 20%. Not sure if I should wait for a potentially better deal or not.

Also, has anyone tried calling their Walmart to see if they're doing a midnight launch? I have a small town one so I'm not sure if they will even know what I'm talking about.

Anyone know if you can get Walmart to hold a street dated item for you? I had that issue with some Transformers at a Kmart last year and they offered to hold them. I'm a bit afraid to try the "scan a different amiibo" thing if I see them in store.
