I'm not sure your concept of a perfectly happy child occurs in nature.  Friends sets also function as doll houses, but come in at a much more reasonable price point, mostly because no license.  However, also the complexity of the build of (good) Friends sets sits between City and Creator 3-in-1...

Indeed, it could be that Disney Princess sets are just slightly more complex builds than 4+ sets and less complex builds than City sets, and as such, they contain a sizable amount of larger pieces, thus the high prices.  Obviously no one here knows because we're not the intended audience for...

420 pieces for $90 is right in line with the pricing for the Disney Princess line.  No one would question the price if this set was released with minidolls in the Disney Princess line. If it is a Target exclusive, it will be 50%-60% off as a deal of the day at some point during its run.

You're all missing that it's going to cost an additional $75 to implement the recommended automation scheme to the Loop Coaster.  So tasty.  Also, the sticker with a map featuring other rides has a carousel that does not resemble anything that is currently for sale, so maybe that's a future...

    LEGO Deals 3

Again this year, quite a few Walmarts have the Classics door buster set down to $10 in store on Friday morning.  Black Friday is now just clearance for Thanksgiving, which is now just clearance for the stuff from the first 11 months of the year.

Huh, the USC MF lightning deal "sold out", yet you can still buy it from Amazon for full price.  Not very sporting of Amazon on this one.  Maybe the Monday morning sale will have a 30% off surprise.

Amazon has the Brick Bank back in stock; full price, of course.

Lego Dimensions Deals and Discussion Thread

Best Buy has $20 off Story Packs this week with the option of getting an additional Fun Pack for 50% off.  I believe that this matches the cheapest that the Lego Batman Movie Story Pack has been at $23.99 with GCU.  Also the recent store exclusives (Excalibur Batman, Knight Rider, and Marceline)...

Lego Dimensions Deals and Discussion Thread

I picked up the Gremlins pack and Green Arrow at GS at open.  I rationalize the extra price as such: team pack at BB with GCU sale = $10, so $15 - $10 means $5 for Green Arrow, beats $80 on ebay three weeks ago.  Lego guru Jang stated that the Marceline discs are all manner of messed up, and...

Bing reduced the point cost for 3-Month Gold

I used it for years without problems too, and then one day I got a vague email from MS and my account was locked and my points, worth around $120 of Xbox monies, were just gone. I got one reply to my many inquiries, which accused me of using a bot for my one account. They didn't have to back...

Bing reduced the point cost for 3-Month Gold

The 1 year of XBL gold isn't the worst deal if you have a Bing Gold account.  If you assume $5 MS monies for 465 point, then 2899 points would be equivalent to $31.17 MS monies.  At 29 points/day, that would take around 100 days.  However, one must remember MS likes to close Bing accounts at the...

Target Gaming Cards Buy One Get One 25% Off

Ah, I don't keep track of sales at Walgreen, CVS, or Rite-Aid, thanks in part to my sweet-ass mysophobia and the probability of unabashedly contagious people wandering the stores. Also, I have seen quite a few convoluted sale schemes at Walgreens that have kinda soured me on the store.

Target Gaming Cards Buy One Get One 25% Off

If memory serves me correctly, 12.5% off is a good deal for PSN cards and Steam cards, which usually top out at 10% off. But Nintendo eShop cards have been up to 20% off in the past at Best Buy, and since the switch to local currencies, I don't think Microsoft cards have been more than 20% off. ...

    The Steam Deals Thread v10

I might have missed it being mentioned in this topic, but Steam Wallet Cards are 5% off this week (Dec 22-28) at Best Buy. I'm not sure if the wallet cards go on sale often or what is considered a good discount for them. They are available in face values of $20, $50, and $100 (so $19, $47.50...
