Yes, you can hear both and the mic also works. You just plug it in.

I use it for titanfall and cod ghosts. I can hear what direction footsteps are coming from pretty good. The bass could be bette. Overall though, this headset is a steal for $50.

I can confirm that they do indeed work great for the ps4. I have both systems and use the headset for both.
