I was at, I think, around 2000 points and around 10 tokens.  The biggest problem, if it is gone, for me, is that,like a dumb ass, I was using it to keep track of what I needed.  My collection is in, um, let's say disarray, and if it doesn't come back up, I've pretty much totally ****ed myself...

I fail to see how this is remotely a "good deal".  Not to mention that if there was any console ever that I would not buy used, this is it.  Even more than the 360.  At least on the 360, you could replace the controller without replacing the system.

Short version: because bungie didn't make it. Anytime you have any big media franchise: movie, television, video game, whatever, and you change who is running/making it, it always "sucks", whether it does or not. To be fair, though, most of the time it actually does.
