Why is that? I thought I heard that the translation was better on the PSP versions over the PSX.

I consider Nier at the top of my list of games that are rough around the edges while actually being phenomenal at the same time.  If you're on the fence, I recommend checking it out. 

Note that there's added load times in FFVI (I haven't played FFV).  It takes a significant amount of time just to load up the party menu and in the transition from combat going in and getting out there's loading time too which ends up being a lot of waiting you don't have to do in the original...

Circumstantial evidence is hardly full confirmation. I would personally give him the benefit of the doubt and consider this as one of those extremely YMMV deals.

After calling up several stores and reading the posts of other CAGers, it seems I might have better luck finding a Bigfoot riding a Unicorn first.
