I don't think it's fair to say that, given we know little about the budget of either game. Maybe Retro City had the resources to do it. But I'd imagine they'd have to rebuild the game from the ground up to even accomplish that
You guys do realize that you're asking for the impossible right? SNES is old tech, whereas Hyper Light is built on modern processors and shaders. How the hell would you even get this game running on a console over 30 years old??

Now it takes place within the confines of your own mind! No need for actual narrative structure when you've got a fortune cookie plot and obscure hints and puzzles that would make a Sierra game weep, all leading towards a totally ambiguous not-actually-the-end ending.
