Eh, but at the same time though, there's plenty of "kid's games" that are very well made, just take a look the wealth of polished Nintendo 1st party titles or things like Skylanders, Little Big Planet, etc. I don't think that essentially saying "it's for kids, so it gets away with being crappy"...

There was a unspoken "financial" reason why the new Spiderman was made. Keeping it real brief, if Sony/Columbia didn't reuse the license again in a certain period of time, the film rights would be reverted back to Marvel, in which they can use the character again in whatever they wanted...
