3.0 is the best version yet I feel. My 7 year old plays it just fine. I'm 38 and I really enjoy it as well. Definitely a quality game that works for kids and adults alike.

Picked this up in store yesterday with GCU and a reward certificate, excited to jump into it soon.

I've heard the opposite, that this game can be as tough as the DS games. I've always been interested in it (love the atmosphere) but really dislike the souls games. I'd hate to buy it only to shelf it like it did DS If the combat is more forgiving, I could definitely see myself getting into it...
