Picked up NFS:MW (Vita), AC:Liberation (Vita), and the new Professor Layton today at the Selinsgrove, PA, store today. They had Vita games on display in 3 different locations around the department. If you don't see what you're looking for be sure to check every endcap in the area.

I haven't used mine enough to get a feel for how much longer the battery will last but Nintendo is saying that we'll get more life out of it. I don't see how the Nyko Extender would fit on the bottom of the XL.

No dock included with the XL? That's a little disappointing. I like it, otherwise. Feels less cheap and plastic-y.
