CAG Arcade Stick Thread II: World Warrior

I like the fact that Soul Calibur stick uses SEGA's Astro City button layout (always been a fan of that even though I don't mind the Viewlix layout). Hmm...might be temping to pick up when it's released.

Book-Off in NYC now buying/selling used import and domestic games

Yea. I've had some net me like 40 cents, but they weren't in the best condition. But, usually I get $1 or so per manga sold to them on average.

Mushihimesama and Espgaluda II are easy to find since they were re-released as Platinum Hits. Get them from Play-Asia as Kurtori mentioned or other import shops in the US like Japanvideogames, Videogamesnewyork or NCSX. Muchi Muchi Pork/Pink Sweets is out of print, but you can get still get...

Generally US manga gets you like $1 per volume. I've traded in various Tokyopop, Del Rey and Viz manga and that's what was given.

CAG Arcade Stick Thread II: World Warrior

The LS-33, 55 and 56 have an octo gate (same gate can be used on all three). The LS-32 has a circular gate (I think the LS-40 can also use it, but don't quote me). I currently have a LS-40-01 installed on a customized stick (I don't ever recall seeing or reading any commercially available...

$99 USED PSPGo System (Gamestop B&M)

Surprisingly enough the GS near my house had 1 in-stock. It was in pretty good condition. It came with R-Type Delta PS1 game and a couple of PSP minis. I guess the previous owner really didn't use it often. I'm liking the formfactor (the screen is so much nicer looking compared to my older...

They do when they get it in - right now they should still have the Japanese Blue Dragon Xbox 360 bundle. The last time I saw an imported PS2 was over the summer and the price was okay...like $50-$60 bare for a fat version.

Rock Band series - Rock Band 4 out now

RB1 and RB2 definitely had a good varied setlist. But, The one great thing about RB3 setlist are the 80s songs (hopefully more 80s stuff will be released in the future).

"Tales of" Games - good place to start??

Haha...Legendia. The one PS2 tales game not developed by the Tales Studio. I wish that Namco decided to bring over Rebirth instead of that (probably influenced by SCEA).

If I remember correctly, there is intentional and unintentional slowdown. Supposedly, CAVE removed unintentional slowdown from Deathsmiles US.

REGION FREE Mushihimesama Futari Ver 1.5 (Platinum Hits) $38.80 shipped @Play-Asia

Most hardcore shmup fans think that Deathsmiles US version shouldn't even exist. According to Aksys, CAVE went back and tweaked the game by removing some slowdown for the US release that exists in the Japanese release. Now, the hardcore are complaining about no 4:3 mode for Guwange. But...

    Gamestop Pick up @ stores

So, you are guaranteed the game as it should be on hold for you for short time? (what is the time frame you have to pick up a game if you use this option?) This more true with a used title than new...especially something rare (of course this goes out the windows if the rare game you want is...

REGION FREE Mushihimesama Futari Ver 1.5 (Platinum Hits) $38.80 shipped @Play-Asia

Mamoru-kun is being redone for the PS3. Not so much as a bullet-hell shooter, but more like Pocky and Rocky (Kiki Kaikai). Just to add to the discussion: CAVE and 5pb wanted to release games on XBLA, but Microsoft denied them (something about cutting down on faithful arcade ports for...

REGION FREE Mushihimesama Futari Ver 1.5 (Platinum Hits) $38.80 shipped @Play-Asia

Just to add...it's generally the replay value and few different modes on the console release that makes shoot'em ups well worth the admission price. Yes, you can credit feed and beat the games in 30 - 40 min, but that's not the point. On a more on topic note...the Platinum Collection of the...

couple of questions about gamestop powerup

Weird. When the Powerup Rewards thing started in my area, the employees at the GS I go to was transferring whatever credit you had on the EDGE card to the new card by doing some type of roundabout transaction.
