Wow! Wonder how so many of them ended up at GW. Still going for 20 on amazon.Stopped by my local GW and picked up 20 copies of Kirby's Epic Yarn(brand new/sealed) for $4/each. I would have bought the remaining 4 copies but I didn't have enough cash on me.
Shining Force is anything but random, especially if CIB. Best Genesis game I've ever found in the wild was SoR II (and that isn't saying much).Stopped by GW and picked this up for $3.99 ($8.99 - $5 in rewards points)
Also picked up these random Genesis/Master System games for $3.99 each.
Huh. Thanks for the info. Had no idea. Unfortunately it was missing the manual. My GW doesn't seem to get older games in on the regular so I scooped them up without knowing much about them. Interestingly enough, that game was there for 6 days before I purchased it according to the price tag.Shining Force is anything but random, especially if CIB. That would be a big find for me at that price, I was happy about finding a limited edition DVD of A New Hope for $3, so the whole DVD trilogy for a buck is awesome. Not a huge find, but I found the original Star Wars Trilogy 4 DVD set for .99 today. I'm guessing whoever priced it assumed it was a VHS because of the big box. All 4 discs are mint.
This one I'm keeping, since I sold my blu ray set last year (which I regret doing). This will tide me over until I can find a killer deal on a new BD set.
Was it the limited edition with the original release on a second disc? Not sure if they sold them in a bundle. Not a huge find, but I found the original Star Wars Trilogy 4 DVD set for .99 today. I'm guessing whoever priced it assumed it was a VHS because of the big box. All 4 discs are mint.

This. Silver Widescreen boxed set.I think he's talking about the 4 disk set with the three movies and one special features disk. Silver or gold depending on widescreen or full screen. Very nice for the price!
The more I think about it, it is a pretty big find. I've been spoiled by goodwill in the past, so my bar was still set high. :lol:That would be a big find for me at that price, I was happy about finding a limited edition DVD of A New Hope for $3, so the whole DVD trilogy for a buck is awesome.
I could be wrong, but it might be an embroidery machine. If it has a needle see if it is extra thick. I can't think of another reason why you would need a disc drive...Had a good morning of finds at my trusty GW.
Picked up:
About the sewing machine, this is a fully programmable machine with a fricking floppy drive in it, so it's clearly old. 2001 - 2003 I believe is the range they were made. From what I can find about it, the MSRP was $4000!! These things are still selling for 400+ on eBay. Unfortunately, I don't know if it works, but I'm going to have my fiance's mom (who is a crafter/seamstress/etc) check it out. Even for parts, it should turn a tidy profit.
- Black N64 with cables, two controllers and Mario Kart for $13.
- Bowsers Inside Story for $3
- Brother Pacesetter ULT-2001 programmable sewing machine for $15.
It didn't come with a sensor.picked up an orange and white gun for xbox 360 at Goodwill this morning for $1.97... if i had to guess it is from a Cabela's game
post pic later..
would it have had a sensor?
Yeah, it's a sewing/embroidery machine. It's pretty awesome, touch screen and stuff too.I could be wrong, but it might be an embroidery machine. If it has a needle see if it is extra thick. I can't think of another reason why you would need a disc drive...
that blowsIt didn't come with a sensor.
EDIT: I just checked and the xbox 360 cabelas guns came with a sensor.
The 360 did have one that used the kinect instead of the wii-like sensor bar that came with Hunting Party (?). That gun has little arms that come off of the sides that act as sensors for the Kinect to track.that blows
thanks though
guess my son has a new toy gun lol
Yeah those can get pretty pricey. If you ever visit the sewing machine section at Jo-Ann's (or other such craft store), it's like a car dealership there. Plenty of display models and staff on hand to make the sale.Yeah, it's a sewing/embroidery machine. It's pretty awesome, touch screen and stuff too.
This made my morning. Thank you. I lol'ed for real.Yeah those can get pretty pricey. If you ever visit the sewing machine section at Jo-Ann's (or other such craft store), it's like a car dealership there. Plenty of display models and staff on hand to make the sale.
I started noticing these in shops and on people's property. They are a cheap glass collectable and I do like the look of them. They are a cool piece of Americana you can get cheap. They don't have much value that I am aware of. I only have 2, purchased at $3 or cheaper. My price point seems to be $4 on these. The going price in shops is $8 to ?. I have them on a sweet chess board my Uncle made. I cleared the family pictures off the board that doubles as a tabletop. If I find more I would like to set them up as giant pawns on the board. Bad lighting in the pic but the board my Uncle made is awesome. What is it with you and the insulators? Do you just like the look of them?
I was thinking the same thing on the bookends. My grandparents have land right next to a set of railroad tracks and I find a ton of them just sitting down by the tracks. Most are in pretty good shape. I've taken a couple over the years, they also double as decent bookends.
You are right about that. I went to get a part for my grandma's machine and found out those ladies selling the machines aren't actually Jo-Ann employees, they work for the machine seller. The best part was, instead of selling her the part, they got her to buy a new machine for almost as much as I paid for my car.Yeah those can get pretty pricey. How much money do these things cost? You are right about that. Like I said, the one I picked up at GW MSRP'ed for $4000 back in 2001.How much money do these things cost?
I have no need for a sewing machine but just curious as it seems we are talking over $1000 here for a sewing machine. Mind blowing to me unless you own a business that requires a sewing machine of that caliber.
You made the right choice. Cash is nice but getting in good with the future in-laws will be much more beneficial.Like I said, the one I picked up at GW MSRP'ed for $4000 back in 2001.
And good news/bad news on my end. I had my fiance's mom test it out and she asked if she could have it, being giddy like a school girl. I couldn't say no, considering all she's done to help us in the past. So, while I got a killer deal and stood to make $500+ on the machine, no big payday for me this time. Oh well, at least my future M-I-L clearly loves me now.
All joking aside, my grandma paid over $10,000 for her machine. It does everything, from sewing to embroidering, it is all programmable, I think she has the thing hooked up to her computer, and she makes curtains, quilts, pretty much everything imaginable. She only got it because she wore her old one out, and it was probably 20 years old.How much money do these things cost?

Doesnt that suck? Knowing that they didnt pay a penny for that stuff and they refused a sale? So much for being a "nonprofit" company amirite?!Nothing at my Goodwill stores last night and today, but I found stuffs that might interests some local Cagers. I tried asking the manager there to part out Super Smash Bros and MarioKart 64 but mananger said "Nope" .
*** SOCAL CAGERS ***
Torrance Goodwill (on Western) N64 Bundle $70 - comes with 2 controllers, rumble pack, all wires, 6 games (Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye, etc.)
Carson Goodwill (on Avalon) - Bunch of Wii Storage Cases $10 each, DS Storage Cases $4 each
Add to that the fact that Goodwill has one of the weakest mission statements of any "non-profit" out there: to provide jobs. Which is literally something every business provides.Doesnt that suck? Actually, the janitorial staff at my office are Goodwill employees. All of the people have some problems, some worse than others. Goodwill also provided training for them, and generally speaking I think they all do a pretty decent job. They are good people and they are happy to be there. I like them better than the people I work with, the Goodwill Gang is into my kind of stuff--games, comics, wrestling, and heavy metal. The old ladies I work with are into internet dating and complaining.Add to that the fact that Goodwill has one of the weakest mission statements of any "non-profit" out there: to provide jobs. They say it is to provide jobs to the disabled, but I've not encountered a single Goodwill employee that looked like they couldn't work any other retail job.
