Deep Discount has Wreck It Wraph pre-order for $19.99 today only, but looks like you now need to spend $25 for free shipping.
Looks like this may have been a mistake and is actually the 2D version--they've already pulled the deal. 3D is still available to order for $21.99.
Missed the BF price? Sony Playstation 3D Glasses at BBY at a middle point price $25 currently.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Sony+-+...44&skuId=2904117&st=Sony 3d glasses&cp=1&lp=1
I already have four pairs of glasses for my Panasonic, but this price is SOOO tempting!

Actually, they're $22.88 on Amazon... even MORE tempting!!!

Does anyone have any experience with these and, more importantly, does anyone feel that these 3D glasses are (just as good, if not) better than the ones specifically designed for their TVs?

I have 5 pairs of the ps3 glasses, I think most of the reviews of these glasses are spot on for the most part. I like mine, however I have nothing else to compare them too. But I can say that I've never lost sync with them, they are pretty comftorable for the most part for an average size head and they do not degrade the picture quality. The one downside is they are reflective, you do not want to have a light on behind you or you'll see it in the glasses. But hey, they are cheap and work well, two thumbs up!

BTW, I use them on my ps3 tv monitor and my epson 5010 projector with a 92" screen and my whole family uses them with no problems.

I think they are rather uncomfortable. It is more the nose piece that annoys me...leaves an indentation. I have a smaller head and small nose also. Performance wise, they have been fine. I also have the Samsung glasses from 2010, with the battery.

I really like the glasses (for the price) but our biggest issue with them is having them work for our kids. We had to go buy eyeglass straps from a local store just to make sure that they fit decently for a whole movie.
Top Gun pre-order at Amazon has dropped to $19.99 (50% off)
So they are still going ahead with it. I heard it may get canceled as well as Top Gun 2 since Tony Scott killed himself.

Just saw announcements yesterday for a 6-day 3D IMAX theatrical release, so looks like this is still a go.

Cool! I hope it has a good conversion but with a movie this old I'm not expecting much.
A bunch of 3D titles only $19.99 at BestBuy.com including MIB 3 and Arthur Christmas!
A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas as well (actually, for $14.99). Of course, that's also playing in my local theater again for a limited time.

Thanks for the link.

Still waiting for Avatar 3D to go on sale for $19.99 or below.

Great find. I was looking for a deal on MiB3. Will get them to price match in store.
I just bought a 55" Panasonic on Black Friday and have been spending quite a bit on 3D blurays. Any suggestions on some must haves?? I'm also catering to my girlfriend's little girl so feel free to list animated movies also (plus who doesn't like a good Disney movie??).
If you don't mind me asking, which Panasonic did you buy? I'm currently toying with the idea of a Panasonic 3D TV myself and curious for user reviews for all different models.

Went in to Best Buy looking for the Dark Knight Trilogy for $25.
They were out of stock but was surprised to find Spidey 3D for $17.99!!!

Never saw it lower then $35 before.

Hmm... it was $27.99 the week it came out and $19.99 at BB and Amazon the week of Thanksgiving.
Are all passive glasses thin plastic lenses? Are any lenses thick like sunglasses for example?
There are a few optically correct (optical-grade) passive models with "nicer" and thicker lenses on amazon for under a saw-buck, some like the Gunnar Optics sets even approach $100, but be sure to read their reviews first.

What I also recommend is the LG family pack (has been under $10 from HH Gregg and under $20 shipped from Tiger Direct) as it has a few sets with thicker plastic lenses and nicer metal frames than the semi-disposable realD 3D type.

Yeah I've been looking at those LG Family pack, but I couldn't find any comments on the lenses, thanks!
Oakley sells a pair of 3D glasses too, a bit expensive for my needs but nice none the less.
Oakleys are too rich for my blood, but I did see those. Thanks.
I got Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas for Christmas and it is definitely the best looking 3D blu I've watched so far, what are you guys favorite 3D blus?
Haven't seen many but was really impressed with Nemo and RE: Retribution

From a strictly 3d perspective I'd go with Avatar, some of the scenes are just awesome. There are a few others that have good 3d: Drive Angry, Titanic, RE: Afterlife, any of the IMAX

John Carter and Gnomeo & Juliet were my favorite 2, so far. Great seperation and both have a few parts where things come out of the screen at ya.
This is the tv I got. http://m.bestbuy.com/m/e/product/detail.jsp?skuId=4860489&pid=1218555767418

I myself am pretty impressed with it. Even the 3D conversion seems to work really well.
Best pop out is from Resident Evil ,after Life ( not the latest one -its crappy in 3D ) 2nd best pop up goes to Final Destination 5 , awesome pop out 3D ,same camera and crew who made Avatar minus Cameron ,3rd is tie between Kung FU Panda 2/Madagascar 3 also lovely in terms of PoP out though story wise both are weak .

>>>>>if in depth but not in pop out then Drive angry ,Rio ,Hugo and almost any post 3d conversion releasing now like I-Robot,Titanic,Nemo ........

I also really enjoyed the depth in Prometheus and The Avengers. The Avengers I didn't really think too highly of at first, but then watching the standard Blu-Ray made me realize that the depth was actually really good in the 3D version.

Had a weird question someone here might have info on. I saw the Hobbit at 48fs today and despite the adjustment needed for the result I like the fluidity and clarity of 3D in it.

Do 240hz sets give the same effect? Does 3D cause the set to step back down to 120hz?

Depends on many things but I know if you have a 240hz active set then it breaks that up to 120hz for each eye and 60hz for rach eye if you have a 120hz set. Because of this no active sets can be 60hz because that would lead to 30hz per eye which isn't enough. Higher hz will be smoother for fast paced things like sports but really can't be compared to a 48fps move because they are completely different. So to answer your first question no 240hz tv's don't have the same effect as a 48fps movie. And to answer your second question with active displays yes the 3d will cause it to drop to 120hz because the image has to be rendered for each eye.

It does depend on many factors. Do you have a 120hz+ 3D TV? What switching/blanking scheme does your TV use in 3D? Does your TV do CFI (Creative Frame Interpolation) or "SmoothMotion" or something like that? Does it work in 3D? Do you consider CFI to be the equal of natively shot HFR?

If all of the answers to those questions is 'yes' then you should be pretty happy with the HFR-like effect of CFI on your 3D TV.
Does anyone know if Resident Evil Retribution 3D is cheaper than $27.99 anywhere, anytime soon??
If BBY history repeats itself, U&S (a quarterly upgrade and save) should take place in mid/late Jan. A drop and $5 off should make it affordable. Just speculation...

Typical Sony 3D release. It'll be $19.99 eventually, but don't hold your breath I waited forever to find Afterlife for that price. Idk how many they made but probably not a lot again. Seems like some 3D releases drop faster than others to liquidate supply like I got Preist 3D for 14.50 from Wal-Mart.com. I got both Immortals 3D and Conan for less than around 20 at release. The Wrath of the Titans Best Buy Steelbook was 25. Stupid they didn't include the 3D blu-ray in the steel book for Retribution. This only worries me that they didn't think it would sell much so they didn't make a ton of 3D copies.

HDMI 1.4 only shows 3D 1080p video at 24fps. So it doesn't matter what your TV's refresh rate is.

Loved it. Gritty like The Raid Redemption (comparision too similar), 3D in theater popouts and often. Nice color after effects. Story simple and short but not too much. Sad it financially failed.
