Any deals for 3D movies on Cyber Monday?

Really hope they put Terminator Genesis 3D on sale soon.
Today only, Target has 15% off everything on their site with the promo code CYBER15 and you get an extra 5% if you use a REDCard. I don't have a REDCard, but still got the Target exclusive Inside Out 3D set for $23.79 shipped which is almost $5 lower than I have been able to find it anywhere else. If there are any other 3D Blu Rays you are not seeing drop in price, this deal may shave off enough to get the price to a level where you are willing to make the move.

It just says Available Dec 14th, as I previously said. So I am guessing NO stores around me has it in stock at all, then?
I already wrote about this in another thread, but I know my local Wal-Mart was ordered to move several items into the back for the duration of BF, then to tell customers they'd sold out when asked. This included a bunch of their 3D movies. I don't know how many stores did this, but I know it wasn't an isolated incident since others have written similiar stories online.

I know stores have done stuff like this with high ticket "doorbusters" like TV's and computers for decades now.... but blu rays and trash cans? Seriously? WTF?

Likewise, stuff that wasn't on sell at all was thrown into the Black Friday displays in what was clearly a bait and switch. Twice I saw someone exclaim something along the lines of "Awesome Age of Ultron is on sale!!!" :wall: I wonder how many people they suckered with bullshit like that.

In short, I bet you that now that the price is back to normal, you'll find it magically reappears on shelves and online sometime today (or knowing the competence of the local store's employees tomorrow or Wednesday lol..... unless it's a major console or something, my local Wal-mart is always a day or two late lol).

Really? Bluray.com says it's phenomenal

http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Inside-Out-3D-Blu-ray/134453/#Review

Who says it stinks?
I haven't seen it myself or read any reviews or anything, but word on the street is it it's a failure when graded on the Pixar curve. I guess it's just not as "deep" and symbolic as films like Wall-E and Up, and mostly just works as a kiddie movie. More like Cars 2 than anything else.

Assuming that's true they can't all be Wall-E and Monster U can they? As soon as the 3D version hits my price range I look forward to checking it out, it's not fair to expect anybody to hit it out of the park every single time and even a bad Pixar movie is still better than a lot of others.

Guess you didn't see the same movie I did, I thought it was incredible and not just a kids' movie.

The very first thing I said was that I haven't seen the movie yet. I'm just posting what friends told me after they saw it.

Our last rental shop just died so I'll get around to seeing it when the price goes low enough I guess.

Inside Out is much deeper than Cars 2. Only adults will understand the challenges of being a parent and uprooting your family for a job. I don't think most kids will understand the challenge of the main character.

Not sure how LoveDragonDon can even compare Inside Out with Terminator Genisys. Is it just 3D effects? What's his basis?

I haven't heard anyone else report this and think it is isolated. I went to a couple of different Walmarts on Friday and Saturday and the only 3D disc I saw in the promo pallets was Hansel and Gretel. Everything else I found was in the regular media section, some still in the locked plastic cases. I was unsure if they were part of the sale since they weren't on the promo pallet and didn't have the promo sticker on them but I took them to a scanner and was pleased to see they scanned at the sale price.

Off the top of my head, check the Wal-Mart 3D movies, Aladdin, and Gremlins threads on Slickdeals. Plenty of people commenting on Wal-Mart BF shenanigans.

I ignored 3D for years as I knew if I paid attention to it I would by another TV.  When the lamp blew in my Sony KDS60A2000 for the 3rd or 4th time I looked at the TV's when I went to Fry's to get another lamp.  RuhRoh as Scooby would say.  I did get another lamp for the damn thing but it's in another room now.  The new "family" tv is a LG 65" 4K Ultra 3D set and God I love it....like with anything the 3D effects vary by movie but they can be extremely impressive at least to my eyes.  I just wish I could have found more of the 3D movies on sale at Walmart over BF weekend.  I found a few, but I'd have bought a lot more if I had the chance.
I heard the 3d was awesome. I will see for myself soon.
I really enjoyed the movie and only owned it digitally so I decided to bite. Price matched at BBY. Found one with lenticular slip cover.

I rarely venture to slickdeals. I find the bluray.com forums to be more helpful when it comes to specific movie deals, no mention of Walmart issue over there that saw though

Don't think it was posted, but Best Buy has Ant Man 3D on sale for $19.99 right now. They also have a promo going for a $5 reward certificate when pre-ordering select movies, of which this is one. Not sure there will be a better deal for a while.

Ok? Are you trying to say that somehow invalidates what SDers were saying?

Probably not, but it's not the steelbook
I can't justify paying a bunch more for a case, hopefully they'll at least bring the SB down to $20 soon.

Not what I was saying at all but a few threads on SD sounds more like standard individual Walmart store ineptitude than nationwide corporate chicanery. Also, when people don't get what they feel entitled to their online bitching can be embellished a little. "Der Wlmrt emplyeez wuz so meen. Dey told me I cldn't by Mad Maxxx bcuz it ws recallld cuz Walmart dn't wunt 2 prmt moveez wit fmnst ajendaz"

A lot of people here and on the BR forums were able to buy these movies with no problem. Sorry that you ran into crappy Walmarts but everyone has crappy Walmart stories.

I'd be more inclined to acknowledge this if they hadn't also been cancelling online orders left and right.

Captain Harlock is getting released this Tuesday.  It's from Twilight Time and limited to 3500 copies.  This Blu includes the 2D AND 3D version.  Oh and it WAS shot on 3D.

Anyone had luck finding a great deal on Minions 3D?  I am sure it will drop in the new year, but I have a Minion fan in the house that 'needs' this for Christmas. :p

I had preordered from Target when it was $27.99 and they had a 10% off sitewide coupon, 5% red card and a $5 GC for preorder. Came to just over $20 (factoring in the gift card and tax).

Nice deal even though I don't have a Red Card. Bummer I missed it! Target currently has it for $29.99 and you get a $5 GC, but I don't really shop Target all that often so a GC is not as much of an incentive to me. Amazon/Walmart have it for $27.99 but I am shooting for sub-$25 if not closer to $20 which is probably the land of unicorns and rainbows right now. I am hoping there will be a deal as we get closer to Christmas or even a sitewide discount for one of the bigger BD chains.

It sounds like you need this by Christmas but if you can wait this movie will likely be on sale for under $20 within the next few months just as the previous Despicable Me 3D movies have been after their releases.

If you can purchase at BB they have an extended return policy for the holidays. You have until January 16th I believe. And you can always do a price adjust within that time if you see a lower price. Good luck

Got Antman 3D Steelbook from Best Buy at $28 today. That's really good looking so I couldn't pass it up. Otherwise, you get it at $19.99 so BB's steelbook exclusive is $8 more

Why they never really discount the 3D movies much? I am looking for Terminator Genesis 3D under $20 Ugh.
Wait a while, you can usually pick it up without much issue. I picked up Transformers AoE for $12.99 at Amazon. We had the numerous ones on-sale at Walmart around $10 or less, assuming you could have found them.

Target.com has had some really good deals lately with 3D preorders coming with $5 gift cards plus 10-15% off sitewide codes and 5% off with red card (plus sites like ebates to get even more back). My terminator preorder came to $19.21 after 10% one-day sitewide discount, 5% red card, adding tax and subtracting the $5 gc
