It's like I'm always on the fence, but I always consider REALLY hard when games that I want go on sale. I have a VERY large backlog, and I don't want to buy games and not get around to playing them. Sometimes they even go cheaper before I get to them. I really wanted Etrian Odyssey last week, but passed. Now I really want MH3U for Wii U AND SMT4. I don't know what to do. I'll probably end up not buying anything again. It's so sad that I have all these games and keep buying more before I finish the ones I've already bought. :whistle2:(

Yeah, it is a bit sad, but it's also sad to miss out on great games at great prices. It made me sad to hear about you missing out on the Atlus games! The Etrian Odyssey games are real gems.

Get back to your roots. Figure out the top 5 games you want to play, play those games and push the rest to the side. Don't buy stuff you don't absolutely want to play right now.

Took a chance on Rage of the Gladiator and Fractured Soul.  Both looks good enough for some mobile fun.  I still am hoping that the upcoming big announcement from Nintendo is that SNES games will be released to both WiiU and 3DS eshops.

Anyone care to opine on which version of MH3U to own, 3DS or Wii U?  I bought a bunch of $20 eshop points for $16 during the holiday season from BestBuy.  $16 for a digital copy of this game doesn't seem too bad.

If you don't care about portability, definitely get the Wii U version.

At this point I'd say Wii U for the online play. Even for someone like me who generally prefers portability, you have the off-screen play. And MH4U will be out on 3DS next year, so there's less reason to buy into the 3DS version at this point. Unlikely there will be any console Monster Hunter for the foreseeable future.

Plus I believe you get 400 points toward digital deluxe promotion, even with the sale, so spend another $10 on the eShop you'll get a $5 coupon. Adds up to some decent savings altogether. I owned both and kept only the Wii U version. Dual joysticks plus larger gamepad screen made it a better playing experience. Plus online play. I play exclusively on the gamepad and love it. Text can be small, but I didn't like how text looked on the 3ds version anyway, super pixelated weirdness.

Very nice. And wow, I went to that page and never even saw that. The big orange stripe between them makes it look like the end of the page.

will grab it tonight - thanks! Sad it does not have multiplayer over internet. Ah well, price is right.

Glad to be able to grab LoZ:4 Swords on my 3DS XL. I picked it up the first time when it was offered free but only had my DSi XL. Free from Nintendo is RARE so pick this game up.

I would have gotten it free but I'm kind of over most tablet games. Especially FP games, I need buttons.
yea i grabbed about 6 or 8 of those RPG games that was 99 cents few weeks back (normally 4 to 8 each) really cant stand playing them without buttons. at least i only wasted 8 bucks on the lot instead of 30 to 40

Absolutely go with the Wii U version.

Unless you are constantly on the go with your portable, the Wii U version looks much better and the online experience is worth it.

Yeah...at first I really loved my tablet games but after about a year I started missing the buttons. Now that I'm back on a button console I don't have any desire to go back. I still use the tablets but touch controls just start to annoy me after a while. I didn't realize how much I disliked them until I started playing a 3DS again. I knew that I'd never pick a iPad game over the Xbox, but didn't really get what was bugging me until I had the handheld.

Four Swords is my 2nd DSiware title, which I'm beginning to realize are the only games that have animated icons.  Why did Nintendo stop animating the icons with 3DS eShop titles?

might be a stupid question but what kind of memory card will work in the 3ds? cause right now all I have in it is the standard card that came with it but I plan on using the 3ds a lot more this year especially with a lot travel I have planned

Noob question. There's no way to buy eshop games unless you have the 3ds with you. Or is there? Asking coz mine is still a week or so away and wanted to get the Zelda game for free.

I had been wondering the same thing. My best guess is they opted to create an animated 3D title screen on the top screen rather than bother animating a tiny icon.

Ok thanks thought so but wasn't sure all was compatible cause I'm wanting to get biggest size the 3ds will allow but wasn't sure if the sd card speed class mattered or not? Or if it will download the same speed no matter what class of card is used
32gb is the biggest size you can use, I believe Class 4 is a minimum.

They have in past, but Mario Kart in particular probably won't go on sale for a long, long time.
Hell the DS version is STILL $35.

Also a 32GB should be enough. Unlike PlayStation, the games are no bigger than 1GB and the memory cards are cheaper.

The 3DS requires an SD card to be formatted a certain way. You can get an SDXC card (which can be as large as 256gb from what I've seen) and format it to FAT32 according to info on various forums. If you don't want to do that just get an SDHC (or SD) card which generally go up to 32gb. The SDHC cards come compatibly formatted for the 3DS.

Let the record state that a MicroSD in an SD adapter works just fine, too. I only work with MicroSD because tiny is awesome. (and usually the same price as those GIANT SD Cards)

Full disclosure: MK7's online patch corrupted my MicroSD card, but I think it had more to do with the patch than my card.

is there anyway to track price history.. looking at some games on sale... and wondering it it were cheaper

STILL CANT DECIDE ON MH3U
