The demos are there to let you try out the battle system, which I enjoyed a lot in its original form as Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier.
They don't seem to do a very good job explaining the battle system is the thing. I was left wondering what the heck was going on. In the full game, on the other hand, the help is a little less abrupt. Or maybe I was just slightly more learned due to the demos.

Alright, after a bunch of internal debate, I decided to pick up Devil Survivor.  So far I love it.  Should I also be picking up Soul Hackers to play once I'm done with Devil Survivor?  It seems like these games go on sale a lot, but $15 is the lowest I've ever seen them.

Can't hurt. I like to encourage both good sales and Atlus. And RPGs! Soul Hackers is a very different experience, though, of course. I really enjoyed it though.

Well, I don't recall there being a ton of reviews. I think it was one in particular - GameTrailers I want to say - that put me off. Maybe CGR Undertow? Chief complaint being the one-note battles. To be clear I didn't get the impression it was bad, just that it wasn't something I would play. Now I can see for myself.
Just a heads-up, the combat in the demo is ever-so-slightly watered down from the real thing. But it'll give you enough to make a decision on the full game.

I have mixed feelings about Soul Hackers. I liked the story, and I love SMT games, and yet there was just something about the battles I could not get into.

I don't want to say it's harder than the newer games, but there is a level of...unnecessary frustration?

Thanks. Yeah, it was kinda light in terms of actual strategy. I do love these sequences we're treated to on the top screen (even if I don't recognize half the roster).

Devil Survivor Overclocked is killing me.  I'm on the first large battle on the first day and I can't seem to beat it.  It's the battle where a giant demon thing comes out close to the end.  How many hours should I be expecting from this game?  So far I really like it, but I'm only an hour in.

I'm gonna have to pick up Pushmo & Crashmo; they've always been on my radar.

I was about to say I'd have to buy those Mario AR cards.. until I remembered that they're a bunch of cards and I could print them my damn self.

You do know that they're actual eShop cards worth in Nintendo Points what you spend on them in-store, right? I mean, if you'd rather buy eShop cards on sale, that makes total sense, but I just can't tell if you're aware they have value beyond the AR thing.

I feel sorry for the parents who get stuck giving their kids the goomba. Seriously, Ninty, you couldn't have made it Bowser or Luigi or even frigging Toad?
Lol.

Hey man Goomba has feelings too.

Woohoo picking up Crashmo. Enjoyed my time with Pushmo very much.

Edit: Speaking of Pushmo...

A lot of hours. Plus there are a bunch of different endings.

As for that fight, if you have access to the map you might be able to level up some on random fights?

I'd say 30-60 or more hours, depending what you want to put in and if you want to get all the endings.

Don't be afraid of easy mode. It gets way harder than that later. :) Normal mode takes some really darn good strategic planning. It was too frustrating for me and nearly ruined the DS version for me. Much prefer easy mode. It is a brilliant game in general.

The Goomba is meant to be paired up with the other two. They can interact using the app so Goomba can harrass Peach and Mario can Goomba Stomp.

Still searching for a deal on Code of Princess (physical). I'm searching here and different sites about a dozen times a day, every day.

I just glanced at the ad and didn't realize they were eshop cards. But I still have no need for them in that case since I still have over $50 from Best Buy's sales.

This is going to sound stupid, but I didn't realize you could have 2 demons per person! Once I figured that out I beat the next couple of battles pretty easy.

Yay, Pushmo finally cheaper than retail.  It's been nagging the crap out of me.  I even had it listed in my game inventory with "Pushmo (waiting for a sale)" as the name of the game.  I'm done buying 3DS games for a loooong time now.

With that, I have one extra $20 E-shop card/code that I don't want anymore, I'm selling it for $17 (made a trade thread and everything!)

Pushmo or Crashmo?
Crashmo is much more complex. In Pushmo, you can only pull the blocks out or push them in. In Crashmo you can slide them in all four directions. It makes for some much more devious puzzles, but is definitely harder to master.

If you are just starting, Pushmo is a good place to go. It is by no means "simple". But, if you are good at logic puzzles and like a tougher challenge, go Crashmo. I got Pushmo for my son and Crashmo for myself.

I think it is obvious which one Nintendo favors, as it was Pushmo they chose to make for the WiiU, rather than Crashmo. Although they may have included some elements from Crashmo.

Love Pushmo! First eshop purchase. Get it. Get it now. Lots of content.  It is coming to Wii U on June 19th so just a heads up. I actually enjoy the 3D in this version, though.

Yes, 3D is this game is a BIG help, and even more in Crashmo. It's one of the few games where I use it all the time. Hopefully the larger screen and HD will atone for the loss of 3D in the WiiU version.

It's becoming less and less likely that I'll find a physical copy of Code of Princess for a decent price. Especially since apparently not all copies come with the music CD and artbook.

Oh well, it's not so bad. Thanks to Best Buy I'll basically be getting a digital copy of the game for $12; can't beat that.
