Ha, true enough. I still find them fun to collect, however... Just an added bonus.

I have to agree with others though, aside from the probability factor there's really no comparison between which is better... There's just more there in the Wii U version. I'll still get the 3DS one just so I have both, but if I were forced to choose then the Wii U copy is the superior version.
Well, in the 3DS version, you can watch/upload videos for everything. On Wii U, that's apparently just for Remix 2. And... stamps. So...? You are missing out on Donkey Kong 3, Wrecking Crew, Clu Clu Land. Ice Climbers and some sports games. :) (I admit I think it's crap they didn't include those missing games on the 3DS version tho.)

Get Serperior in Pokemon ORAS using the code POKEMON497

In the upcoming weeks you'll be able to get Emboar and Samurott.

Thanks, I feel like they're really not promoting these like they did with X and Y. I only found out there was one around Christmas when I opened the game because I randomly decided to check it.

Regardless, that disqualifies his statement.
There's some copies floating around of a lot of games that are out of print.

Also I'm kinda scared of the fact that it originally came with a stand to keep your hands from getting tired. Is it really that awkward?
Abso-freaking-lutely yes. It's twice as bad if your L and R buttons are giving out on you, as they often do on the regular 3DS. It's a shame because the game looks fantastic and the underlying gameplay is appealingly arcade-like. Still, it's so tough to play as it's designed that I rarely go back to it. They really, really should have waited for the Wii U for this one... a second analog stick would have made a world of difference.

Or at least the ability to fire with the A Button.

Perhaps the N3DSXL will make this game easier to play?

Heads-up: I'm a righty so my comments may be invalid if you are left-handed.

I stopped using the stand after a while because I moved the circle pad around a lot during gameplay. Your mileage may vary, but my opinion is that it's not necessary to use it to enjoy it.

As others have said, once you get used to the unique controls you start to understand why this game couldn't work with a Circle Pad Pro. There's a degree of subtlety in the control that emerges as you learn how to dodge, swipe, flick, and manipulate the circle pad and stylus in unison. It's not for everyone, but I would put it in terms of "a-ha!" moments when one "gets" the control.

The game is just amazing and super fun. The better you play the better you're rewarded. Taking risks also rewards the player in different ways. I love the presentation, and the game is filled with all sorts of Nintendo in-jokes and breaking the 4th wall to charming effect.

Admittedly, I didn't beat the game, but that's mainly due to the original 3DS screen's 3D effect flickering as I played several intense levels. I could have played in 2D but I felt the 3D helped me judge distance on platforms and in enemy fights.

Just my $0.02. I know that "you'll love it when you finally get it as you acclimate to the controls" is a cop-out phrase, but this is one of those games. I think $25 is a good price for it, personally.

EDIT: I fully admit that my hands got cramped after playing this, but that was on an original 3DS. Maybe playing on a New 3DS XL will help. Still a great game :)

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll probably get the Wii U version at Best Buy with GCU. Shame the 3DS version doesn't feature all the games the Wii U version does.

Uprising is a great game and probably my third favorite on the system.  The controls are awkward at first but I got used to them and went through the entire game without much difficulty or discomfort and I didn't use the stand at all.  For some games stylus controls make more since than analog, and to me this game is a prime example.  I mean, they could probably make it work but then you lose a level of precision that you become reliant on.

Anyone with a 3DS owes themselves the chance of giving the game a shot if possible...  You may not like the controls but they really aren't as bad as some make them out to be.  It's a fantastic game if you can get used to the initial quirkiness of the controls.

Uprising is a great game but the controls while playing on an XL are a bit bothersome.  Holding the console in one hand to use the stylus in the other isn't very comfortable for long periods of play although you can sort of help this by sitting the console flat or using your legs as leverage.  The writing and rewarding variable difficulty system are great, but the controls hold it back from being an exceptional game imo.

Someone else already gave me a Monster Hunter code, so I don't need the ones I got sent yesterday. Enjoy. It's a pretty fun demo.

The link is legit. Nintendo's fault for making it shitty bare-bones.

We don't all have immediate internet connections on these things wherever we go. Not like Nintendo makes it easy to hop on an unfamiliar wi-fi location.
I like that it's bare bones. I don't want to hunt for the redemption spot. It's the only thing on that link. No wasting time looking for a special menu.

That's the official Nintendo code redemption link.

For a big Nintendo fan, I'm surprised you didn't already know about it.
Doesn't mean it doesn't look shady as all get out.

There's a like battle mode where the characters fight each other and the cards unlock the characters. Something like that.
Correct, the AR cards come to life and simulate a 1 on 1 battle. I don't remember unlocking characters... items maybe from the kid icarus AR cards.. but not the 6 that come with the console.

There were blind foil packs of cards sold for a super brief period at retail. There's YouTube videos you can set your 3DS in front of and have it scan the entire series. Only way to get them especially since some were insanely rare and the whole thing was a really low printing.

MH Demo codes:

A0718BS207413PKS

A0700ABJ1MJU4BL0
A070CRXV3895PBTU
Thanks, used the bottom two codes (one for myself, one for my son). Guess just about everyone has a MH4 demo by now, so the scraps remain on the table for a while :)

FYI: I used the shady as all get out link to redeem, and I now love the ghetto Nintendo redeemer. SO much better than finding my 3DS, signing into the eShop, and stylus-typing a code that has an 80% failure/already-redeemed rate.

I still have yet to do this, but here's the video:

Used A070XT2R2DSWKVAV. Didn't even think to try these since I saw them late last night, but success was had in the morning

My son tried every MH4 demo code from the last couple pages that doesn't have a post saying it's been used.   They have all been used already, still looking.

I've got three Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate demo codes to give out. Feel free to send me a PM to request a code. No CAG newbies.

Edit: One left.

Second all the love for KIU. My only problem is I don't want to play it again because the stat crap for the weapons favors stats over skill so hugely that you have to grind up something ridiculous for higher difficulties but for just a clean run through it is such an excellent, charming game.

In appreciation for kerig sharing that KI:U vid link (I actually sat and held the system for 30 minutes while scanning, didn't cop out and leave it in front of the monitor lol) - MH4 codes for those that want em:
