Wouldn't this be a good time to put Picross E1-5 on sale for about $2.99?

I still have Picross for the DS that I've never finished, and I didn't even realize there were multiple 3DS iterations available.

I'd be cool with any of the ones that have the micross puzzles, those seem fun.

Soon as it goes on sale! Oh wait...
There's a ridiculous amount of content in each game for $6 it costs that anybody that likes Picross would be stupid to pass on.

Picross e = 150 puzzles

Picross e2 = 150 puzzles + 188 Micross puzzles

Picross e3 = 150 puzzles

Picross e4 = 165 puzzles + 87 Micross puzzles

Picross e5 = 165 puzzles + 109 Micross puzzles

Picross e6 = 300 puzzles + However many puzzles are in the three Micross portraits

I believe Picross DS and 3D had a bit over 300 puzzles each for $20, so you get half of that for less than a third of the price in most of them.

I have around 20 hours on the Activity Log for each of the first five games, which doesn't include quitting out mid-puzzle and occasional SD card issues on the 3DS. They're no-brainers for anybody that likes Picross.

Is there any regularity to sales for the 3DS eShop?

Like on PSN we can pretty much bank on at least one or more solid sale per year from Square, two+ from Rockstar, probably 10 or more from Atlus, a couple EA sales, and so on.  Plus there tends to be a summer sale, special sales to celebrate anniversaries of stuff (like the Playstation 20th Anniversary sale this past January).  Does Wayforward or any of the devs/pubs I love like Konami on here have regular sales?

Sorry for the noobish question.  I just upgraded to my son's old 3DS from a DSi a week ago so I could redeem a few old Club Nintendo codes before they expired and figured it was time to see what was going on with the 3DS.

Not really. Other than Atlus stuff being on sale every other week most weeks it's just shovelware that goes on sale. There's a couple big Nintendo sales a year that are usually thematic and times with some external event.

If you just got EOU2 they're doing limited time free DLC again:

Quote

Permanently Free

  • Yggdrasil Veteran: While there will be new portraits for each class in EO2U, the classic portraits from the original Etrian Odyssey will return as FreeLC for veterans that want to give their party a retro look.
Free Until Aug. 10

  • Highlander’s Return: The Protagonist’s class from EOU makes a triumphant return in EO2U! This class focuses on sacrificing portions of their health to obliterate enemies and buff party members. Highlander Grimoire stones and the class is available in Story mode as well! (99 cents/CA$1.49 after Aug. 10.)
  • Hidden Hot Springs!: There’s rumors of a secret hot spring inside the snow-covered 3rd Stratum! Can you find the hot springs and dig them up? As an added bonus, completing the quest in Story Mode will unlock special portraits for Arianna and Chloe! ($2.49/CA$3.49 after Aug. 10.)
Man, that free hotspring dlc is so tempting...

But nope, I've decided not to support the $10 atlus tax. I'll just have to shell out the $2.49 for the dlc down the line when the game drops in price.

Is the DLC available via the eShop itself? Why not download it now and then install it later? I have the Sonic Lost World DLC and don't own the game.

So I found the 32gb memory card i had bought for my 3ds. I formated it wih the program via the instructions on Nintendo's site here

http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/220/~/how-to-format-an-sd-card-or-microsd-card

But how do i actually do the transfer? Looking onine it seems you just put it in your computer, copy the files over to the desktop or something then move them to the new card? Do you have to name foders or do anything? Just want to make sure i transfer the data right

Thanks for the feedback. I'm just going to keep an eye on this thread from time to time then. Any specific days? Like PSN is typically Tuesday and Friday (though I tend to watch that almost daily since the community is more talkative).

Insert your sd card into your computer using whatever adapter (if needed), open the drive and highlight everything and choose copy.

Make a folder on your desktop (name it anything you want, it doesn't mater, I'll call it "Transfer"). Open that "Transfer" folder and then right click and choose paste.

When the copying is done, highlight everything and copy it.

Switch to the new card, open it and then paste.

It's a basic copy and paste job. Just copy EVERYTHING from the old sdcard and leave the folders and stuff how they are.

Once done, test the new card in the system... if it looks good then you can format the old card and use it for whatever you want.

There are usually things up on Mondays (Atlus Day) and Thursdays (eShop Update Day), but they can happen on any day of the week. You can just keep an eye on the title and see when the latest additions appeared.

Thanks a lot. Seems pretty straightforward. I dont think i even needed to format i but i figured what the hell.

Going to give this a shot this afternoon. Finally have some decent storage on my 3ds

Not that it helps but EO2 is my fave of the lot and they did a pretty decent job with Fafnir.  My only gripe is looking through the DLC.  All of those had better be seasonal freebies.. because otherwise I'm pissed.  And the theme is pretty nice (from GS) but certainly not worth it if you're Gamer Club from BB.

Anyone played the Zombie Panic game or Demon box? I d.loaded the demo for demon box and it seemed like a cute little action platformer but it was a bit confusing. I didn't understand that bar on the bottom that kept filling up and randomly activating skills. Zombie panic doesnt have a demo and i cant really tell what kind of game it is. What are the controls like? I d.loaded some other zombie shooter game that was fu but had terrible aiming controls. You had to use the l and r buttons to aim.

is that one download that gives you RARE items on EO2 for 1.99 worth it
The flower? It doesn't give you a rare item. It gives you scaling mission that can be repeatedly done. On Stratum 1 it's 1200en repeatable. On Stratum 2 it's 6000 en. Its nice and quick way to fund your upgrades/improvements. But in the end, I often don't use it because I've got enough money coming in on the regular. The tea it helps make is a buff that lasts one dungeon delve.

That's not too terrible. Some paid mixed in with quite a bit of free. I think that's ok. I'm not sure. We'll have to see if I'm bored out of my mind by time that last group comes up.

Anyone who's dumb like me, despite posting it, and forgot to claim the EOU2 DLC it is still free at this moment. I would assume it's going to start charging for the two that are temporary when the store updates at noon.

Anyone know what's with all the DLC in the list that's "expired"?

No answer on zombie panic? Sale ends in a few days
What about it?

There are 2 control schemes for the game. One uses the analog stick to run back and forth while the touch screen is used to aim/shoot. The other uses the analog stick to move and aim. The first method seems more effective from the short amount of time I've played it.

I've enjoyed what little I have played. Decent arcade-like shooter to kill some time.

ah so touch screen controls... meh. At least it gives an alternitive. Maybe i'll snag it. Sale is only about 30% off i think though. Doesn't seem like much. I dont really buy Nintendo games because of their cruddy restrictive use. Do they usually not hit the 60-80% off range?

EOU2 owners, just passing along the fact that we're into the second wave of free DLC for the game. Get it downloaded now while you still can.

So did Ironfall: Invasion get pulled from the US eshop like it did in Europe?  Don't have my 3DS with me to check right now.

Fatlus took SMT4 off their $15 buck roulette and just dropped MSRP to $20 recently. Maybe they're tired of being the only company treating eshop like Steam.

Maybe they're tired of being the only company treating eshop like Steam really generous, kind folks who give us the games we want at prices we can afford and one of the very few companies who actually do it at all on Nintendo platforms.
There, I fixed it for you.

It's decent. Nothing amazing, but pretty fun. The fanservice is over the top, though. Similar levels to Heaven's Lost Property or High School DxD.
