Here is a list of all the known games on Amazon that come with a gift card or gaming credit. If the Amazon price decreases between your order time and the end of the day of the release date, you'll receive the lowest price. Release date delivery is available on many of these titles, which is free for Amazon Prime members.

The status of these offers fluctuates. Please read the details on the Amazon product page before ordering.

Amazon Credit & GC Deals FAQ by Lucian[hiddenlist]

1. What is Amazon game credit? How is it different than a gift card?
Amazon game credit is a discount off a new order only. This means it cannot be applied to an existing order, unlike a gift card that can be applied at any time. Occasionally, a CAG will report that customer service applied a game credit balance to an existing order, but this is extremely YMMV.

In addition, game credits can only be used on gaming items. This generally includes all games and accessories for consoles, handhelds, and PC shipped and sold by Amazon. Credits usually cannot be used on systems (either console or handheld). As far as digital content is concerned:
- Xbox Live codes sent via email - No
- Xbox Live physical points cards - Yes
- PSN codes sent via email - Yes (confirmed by grantme 7/3/2011)
- PSN physical wallet cards - Yes (someone please confirm via PM)
- PC game downloads - Not sure (someone please advise via PM)

2. What about the expiration date? Does this mean I can't use it on a preorder that releases after the expiration date?
The expiration date is the date by which a qualifying order must be placed. The order does not need to ship by that date; however, if you cancel the order after the the credit expires, it is gone and cannot be recovered.

3. Can I stack game credit?
Yes, you can stack game credit to your heart's content. However, remember that each game credit has an expiration date and must be used prior to the expiration date. Currently, Amazon does not provide information on your credit balance through their website, so either track it yourself or call customer service for assistance.

4. When will I get my game credit or gift card?
The exact timeframe is specified on the product page in the section detailing the game credit, but it is usually 2 business days. The game credit or gift card will be deposited into your account and you should receive an email notification once that occurs. Of course, it is possible for email delivery failure, so you can check your account depending on the type of bonus:
- Gift card - Go to your account and check your gift card balance
- Game credit - See FAQ #9 below 'How can I check my credit balance?'

Please wait the expected time frame before contacting customer service asking for your credit.

5. Can I use game credit and gift cards on the same order?
Yes.

6. I want to order two (2) copies of Newborn Ninja Assassins 2 because of the $15 game credit. Will I get $30 in credit?
No. Game credit offers are limited to 1 per household per title, so you will only receive 1 game credit.

7. What if I order one (1) copy of Newborn Ninja Assassins 2 for PS3 and one (1) copy for Xbox 360? Will I get 2 game game credits now?
No. CAGs have reported only receiving 1 credit per title even though the titles are for different platforms (i.e., have different SKUs).

8. A credit was just added to a game that I already had preordered. Do I need to cancel my order to qualify for the credit?
No. To date, all game credit promotions have had verbiage indicating that This offer will be extended to all existing pre-orders.. To be 'safe', you may want to get a screenshot of the promotion as proof should you need to contact customer service after the game ships.

9. How can I check my credit balance?
Place a preorder for any title to see how much promotional credit is applied. Cancel the order and the promotional credit will be released back to your account as long as it has not yet expired.

Also, Amazon recently added the ability to view your balance on the MP3 download screen. Go to any MP3 download page and look for a blue splat with a $ in it; it's right below the purchase button. Click the link next to the blue splat that says 'Redeem a gift card or promotion code & view balance' and a pop-up will display available credit. Videogame credits will display under the category 'SOFTWARE/VIDEO GAMES', but may contain credit applicable only to software downloads.

Other Amazon-related questions

1. Why does my order say the estimated ship date is a week after release?
Amazon prioritizes shipping for Prime members and those who paid for shipping over those taking advantage of their Free Super Saver Shipping (FSSS) option. Sometimes this means that a preorder will not ship for a few days after release, though I've never had an order take as long as they estimate. I expect their estimates accomplish 2 things:
- It covers their worst case scenario backlog and makes you feel better when it ships earlier than estimated.
- It's a nice marketing ploy to get you to either pay for shipping or sign-up for Amazon Prime.

2. My Amazon Prime or Prime trial is going to expire in a few days. What happens to my existing orders or preorders?
Amazon Prime (whether a full membership or a trial) applies to all orders placed during the Prime membership period. This means that if you preorder an item that ships months after your Prime expires, that order will still be covered under your Prime benefits (i.e., free standard or 2-day shipping and sometimes release-date delivery). If an item becomes eligible for Release Date Delivery (RDD) and you already have it preordered with 2-day shipping, it will automatically be upgraded to RDD even if your Prime has since expired. However, if you need to change the payment method (e.g., if your credit card has expired) on an order after your Prime has expired, your Prime benefits on that order will be lost. In this situation, you can apply a gift card balance without affecting Prime benefits.

this sucks that there isnt any good credits coming up. i had to use a $10 credit on killzone 3 and am hoping they add at least $10 credit on there. i havent paid full price for a game since red dead last year and it looks like that will end soon.
Kmart is apparently having a $20 credit for Bulletstorm. But, I am unsure if it's the Epic Edition. I just wish Amazon would price match it already! Anyone think this is going to happen?
All pre-orders will be an epic edition.

Amazon rarely price matches GCs, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Well, I know they rarely price match KMarts offers, I think everyone's beef is that after months of every title having at least a $10 credit and .99 RDD, almost none of the big titles coming out have ANY credit, and most dont even have the .99 RDD. I really dont want to drive to KMart, Im very lazy, but as much as I love Amazon, Im going where the deals are, and it makes me a sad panda that Amazon doesnt even appear to be trying right now.

May have been mentioned, but if you preorder DS2 do you go on and get the DS:Extraction code now? It says 2 days after the order.

I thought they were doing it for the holidays, not really surprised they stopped.

It looks like Amazon is ringing in the New Year with a strict "no deals on pre-orders" policy. Oh well, they still do deals on games that are a month or so old.

You get the Dead Space Ignition code within 2 days, not Extraction.

Damn, that sucks.
I stopped in here for the first time to check on a promo credit for MvC3, but the $10 doesn't cover the Special Edition.
With no deals on it anywhere really and no promo credit, I suppose I don't mind paying full price for it.

Called up amazon asking why there is no credit or release day shipping for ME2 and the guy gave me a $10 credit. So now I can have ME2 with one day shipping and it will cost me nothing along with my $60 gift card I already had.

HA HA HA!

Why do people feel the need to tell others about their form of payment? Nobody cares about how you pay for the game.

Yeah, I'm a little miffed that the Special Edition of Marvel vs Capcom 3 doesn't get the $10 credit too. I suppose Amazon assumes plenty of people will pre-order it regardless of a bonus offer (since it's a Collector's Edition), but it's still annoying.

I am bothered by the fact that Dragon Age II doesn't have anything yet. I hope they add something at some point and don't make it exclusive to 360 and PS3 (I'm getting the PC version myself).

Wanted to pre-order Dead Space 2 LE, Marvel VS Capcom 3 LE, and Killzone 3 LE...and non with credit and all just cents below retail price.

Maybe Amazons video game credit department is still on vacation. :whistle2:k

They added a couple of new credits so there's still some hope. Mindjack for Xbox/PS3 and Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded for DS now have $10 credits.

You might be able to get lucky and get $15 with Kingdom Hearts. The main thing says $10 but the fine print says $15:

Get a $10 Video Games Credit
Order Kingdom Hearts Re:coded and receive $15 in video games credit. The promotional credit will be placed directly into your Amazon.com account within 2 days after the product ships. Offer valid when shipped and sold by Amazon.com. This offer will be extended to all existing pre-orders. Amazon reserves the right to change or terminate this promotion at any time. Offer valid for one purchase per customer.

Kingdom Hearts is actually $15.

Its defintely $15, that is what it says on my confirmation email:

Congratulations. Your purchase has qualified you for a $15 promotional credit toward the purchase of items shipped and sold by Amazon.com (certain exclusions apply, including Kindle books, MP3s, and video rentals and downloads). The credit will be applied directly to your Amazon.com account within two days after your product ships once processing is complete.

homefront has a $10 credit...you have to scroll down the page to see it. It is not at the top of the page like most others.
Dragon Age 2 PS3/360 preorder gets $10 credit
Are you sure? I don't see it anywhere on the page unless I'm missing something.

Bah, I hope amazon starts doing the 20 dollar credit after release. I have an amazon giftcard and I am fighting the urge to go spend money at kmart :(

Honestly, unless its a game Im really stoked for, Im finding it absolutely impossible to buy a game at full retail without AT LEAST $10 game credit and .99 RDD. Just too many retailers getting in on the "gaming deals" and too many games dropping by $20-$30 bucks within the first month or so.

That said, Im in for the standard version of MvC3 with the $10 credit and .99 RDD :)

Xbox 360 250GB Kinect Bundle has $25 Video Games Credit:

http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-250G...JLZ2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1295051714&sr=8-1
Order the Xbox 360 250GB Console with Kinect and get $25 off a future video game purchase. The promotional code will be placed directly into your Amazon.com account within 2 business days after the product ships. Offer valid when shipped and sold by Amazon.com. Limit one per household. Amazon reserves the right to change or terminate this promotion at any time.

I Don't think this will last long.

What the...? I could've sworn it said $10 credit when I checked it last!

It doesn't seem like they do $0.99 release day shipping anymore :( At least not on Brink or L.A. Noire. Maybe if I wait a lil bit...

Not sure but it seems like lately amazon is giving out regular amazon credit instead of video games credit. Which is a good thing!
When is this game getting released? Best buy has early March, and gamestop has July. Some place else has October?
That's a good question. When SOCOM 4 was pushed out of the holiday 2010 window, I guess everyone assumed it'd be a 1st qtr 2011 release, but now it looks like nothing has been confirmed yet.
