Here is a list of all the known games on Amazon that come with a gift card or gaming credit. If the Amazon price decreases between your order time and the end of the day of the release date, you'll receive the lowest price. Release date delivery is available on many of these titles, which is free for Amazon Prime members.

The status of these offers fluctuates. Please read the details on the Amazon product page before ordering.

Amazon Credit & GC Deals FAQ by Lucian[hiddenlist]

1. What is Amazon game credit? How is it different than a gift card?
Amazon game credit is a discount off a new order only. This means it cannot be applied to an existing order, unlike a gift card that can be applied at any time. Occasionally, a CAG will report that customer service applied a game credit balance to an existing order, but this is extremely YMMV.

In addition, game credits can only be used on gaming items. This generally includes all games and accessories for consoles, handhelds, and PC shipped and sold by Amazon. Credits usually cannot be used on systems (either console or handheld). As far as digital content is concerned:
- Xbox Live codes sent via email - No
- Xbox Live physical points cards - Yes
- PSN codes sent via email - Yes (confirmed by grantme 7/3/2011)
- PSN physical wallet cards - Yes (someone please confirm via PM)
- PC game downloads - Not sure (someone please advise via PM)

2. What about the expiration date? Does this mean I can't use it on a preorder that releases after the expiration date?
The expiration date is the date by which a qualifying order must be placed. The order does not need to ship by that date; however, if you cancel the order after the the credit expires, it is gone and cannot be recovered.

3. Can I stack game credit?
Yes, you can stack game credit to your heart's content. However, remember that each game credit has an expiration date and must be used prior to the expiration date. Currently, Amazon does not provide information on your credit balance through their website, so either track it yourself or call customer service for assistance.

4. When will I get my game credit or gift card?
The exact timeframe is specified on the product page in the section detailing the game credit, but it is usually 2 business days. The game credit or gift card will be deposited into your account and you should receive an email notification once that occurs. Of course, it is possible for email delivery failure, so you can check your account depending on the type of bonus:
- Gift card - Go to your account and check your gift card balance
- Game credit - See FAQ #9 below 'How can I check my credit balance?'

Please wait the expected time frame before contacting customer service asking for your credit.

5. Can I use game credit and gift cards on the same order?
Yes.

6. I want to order two (2) copies of Newborn Ninja Assassins 2 because of the $15 game credit. Will I get $30 in credit?
No. Game credit offers are limited to 1 per household per title, so you will only receive 1 game credit.

7. What if I order one (1) copy of Newborn Ninja Assassins 2 for PS3 and one (1) copy for Xbox 360? Will I get 2 game game credits now?
No. CAGs have reported only receiving 1 credit per title even though the titles are for different platforms (i.e., have different SKUs).

8. A credit was just added to a game that I already had preordered. Do I need to cancel my order to qualify for the credit?
No. To date, all game credit promotions have had verbiage indicating that This offer will be extended to all existing pre-orders.. To be 'safe', you may want to get a screenshot of the promotion as proof should you need to contact customer service after the game ships.

9. How can I check my credit balance?
Place a preorder for any title to see how much promotional credit is applied. Cancel the order and the promotional credit will be released back to your account as long as it has not yet expired.

Also, Amazon recently added the ability to view your balance on the MP3 download screen. Go to any MP3 download page and look for a blue splat with a $ in it; it's right below the purchase button. Click the link next to the blue splat that says 'Redeem a gift card or promotion code & view balance' and a pop-up will display available credit. Videogame credits will display under the category 'SOFTWARE/VIDEO GAMES', but may contain credit applicable only to software downloads.

Other Amazon-related questions

1. Why does my order say the estimated ship date is a week after release?
Amazon prioritizes shipping for Prime members and those who paid for shipping over those taking advantage of their Free Super Saver Shipping (FSSS) option. Sometimes this means that a preorder will not ship for a few days after release, though I've never had an order take as long as they estimate. I expect their estimates accomplish 2 things:
- It covers their worst case scenario backlog and makes you feel better when it ships earlier than estimated.
- It's a nice marketing ploy to get you to either pay for shipping or sign-up for Amazon Prime.

2. My Amazon Prime or Prime trial is going to expire in a few days. What happens to my existing orders or preorders?
Amazon Prime (whether a full membership or a trial) applies to all orders placed during the Prime membership period. This means that if you preorder an item that ships months after your Prime expires, that order will still be covered under your Prime benefits (i.e., free standard or 2-day shipping and sometimes release-date delivery). If an item becomes eligible for Release Date Delivery (RDD) and you already have it preordered with 2-day shipping, it will automatically be upgraded to RDD even if your Prime has since expired. However, if you need to change the payment method (e.g., if your credit card has expired) on an order after your Prime has expired, your Prime benefits on that order will be lost. In this situation, you can apply a gift card balance without affecting Prime benefits.

The pre-order price guarantee states that you are offered the lowest price from the time of pre-order until the close of release date so you should be fine. May take a few emails and the usual bs *one time exception* but you are entitled to it

EDIT: Nevermind, that price is offered by a 3rd party, not Amazon so they dont owe you anything :p

I received the $15, I was surprised when I opened my e-mail and saw $15, as I was expecting $10 (wasn't even aware they upped the amount). I ordered DA2 with it, to get another $15 credit, haha.

I pre-ordered Homefront and got my $15 credit.
Does the pre-order bonus mini-guide comes in the package or it´s like a code for downloading? Thanks.

I got it in an email entitled your bonus for ordering homefront.

My luck on getting the $15 credit from Dragon Age 2.

Mohit :Hello, my name is Mohit. I'll be happy to help you today.

Me:Thanks
Me:I pre-ordered a version of Dragon Age 2 back in January which was available until Jan 11th which I could not remove
Me:Then I find out that the game was set to include a $15 video game credit, which didn't make sense why I didn't receive it because I pre-ordered the same product

Mohit :I am sorry for the inconvenience. So you have not received the credit of $15 for video games. Am I right?

Me:yes

Mohit :I am sorry for the inconvenience. Please allow me a moment.

Me:eek:k

Mohit :I appreciate your patience. I have applied the promotional balance under your account for $15.00

Me:Thank you very much sir

Mohit :You are welcome. Is there anything else I can do for you today?

Me:No thank you, have a nice day

Mohit :You are welcome. Thanks for visiting Amazon.com. We hope to see you again soon!

Thanks for the heads up about the Dragon Age 2 promo. I wrote them an e-mail and they issued me a $15 credit. All I said was that I pre-ordered the game back in January and had yet to receive the credit. Woot!

I also just received the $15 credit for Dragon Age 2. It was a little harder for me though as my first email was rejected. I then spoke to them in chat and got it that way. Thanks for the heads up!
I'm really surprised that Homefront didn't get bumped up to $20. Hopefully Crysis will!
Crysis 2 was at $20 once but back in June-July of last year, I pre-ordered when I saw the credit go up but canceled and used the trade credit later on for another game.

If they had put $20 credit on Homefront's pre-order I would have picked it up. I did however pre-order Duke Nukem PS3 today for $57.98 with $0.99 Release-Day delivery, hopefully Amazon will at least add a $10 credit to it, but either way I'm getting it I waited 10+ years!

I pre-ordered DA2 back in October, and although the customer rep said he couldn't find any info on the $15 promo, He applied it to my account anyways. :)

My Top Spin 4 shipped and I got the lower price of $56.99 instead of my originally invoiced $59.99... not a bad deal when you add in the $20 gift card.

Just shot off an email about the DA2 credit. I've had the Signature edition pre-ordered since early January, so here's to hoping they grant me the credit.

I used the live chat customer support on Amazon and got my $15 credit on Dragon Age 2. I purchased the game on 2/24 for the Xbox 360.

can you still get $15 off homefront? it's $50 right now already, so $35 would be sweet since tiv is 38. free rental? or is it preorder bonus only? oh wellz

I was able to get the $15 gaming credit as well. I used the chat and told them that I bought the game on release day and paste a link of DA2 page. Thanks for the update guys.

Try another chat, OR if you were still in teh same one, reference a friend having just got the deal you're asking for. Just say I guess it's up to which CS rep you get, huh!?

They'll usually fold at that point lol

at Walmart.com Street Fighter IV has a $10 credit so maybe Amazon will match.

Got an email from amazon saying my Top Spin 4 preorder qualified for 3 dollars back as well. Amazon is just too awesome sometimes, they didn't have to do that, I'd have never known, what a well run place.

It actually says its $10 off a future THQ game purchase, which is lame.

SSFIV 3D now has a $10 promo! It's even a regular Amazon promo credit and not a video-game specific one.

I pre-ordered Homefront :360:
I received it on Tuesday but I have not received yet the "exclusive bonus codes from Amazon".
I contacted them by chat complaining and after that they sent me an email saying I´ll receive my codes on Thursday.
Today (Friday) I chatted with a rep complaining again about the delay of the email with my codes, at the end he just sent another email to the department in charge of this issue. Hope to get it today...
Any suggestions?
I know it's probably impossible, but I wish it had release day delivery.
It'd only really matter if the 3DS also had RDD.
there was a pre order bonus with homefront?? i never got one. didnt even know there one was besides the game credit
Yep, a military uniform for your avatar and a digital mini-guide.
$20 credit for Lockout 2012
Curious how Madden will sell if there is no season. $20 is a nice bonus though.

heads up for those who preordered homefront but didnt get their avatar item yet
We’re writing to let you know there’s been a delay in the delivery of the pre-order codes for the Homefront Avatar Outfits. We’re working with THQ to send these pre-order codes to you as soon as possible.

We're very sorry about this delay, and to make up for any inconvenience, we’re providing you with a $5 Video Games credit.
