F.A.Q.S.:

1. Does the game I'm buying from Amazon Activate on Steam/Origin/Uplay? What DRM does the game use?

There are two places to identify DRM on a digital video game detail page:

At the top of the page, below the title:

In the "Product Description" section:

2. Note on Electronic Arts Games - For the most part, EA games sold on Amazon do not activate on Steam. Most activate on Origin.

3. Note on DRM with limited activations:

Our Policy

4. Sometimes I'll do giveaways.

5. I work with developers and publishers to get fun (or at least what I think is fun) content to share with you all. Here are some examples:

a. Check out the Pax Gameplay videos here: Xcom: Enemy Unknown I played Xcom with Jake, the Creative Director for the game, a few months before the game came out Also, on this page, check out the Q&A, also a community driven event.

b. Check out the interview on this page: Borderlands 2 we did this interview at E3 with Randy Pitchford this year.

c. We've partnered with the ++GoodGames Podcast to feature many of the games we carry. They talk to the developers about the game development process, how the games are conceptualized and managed, all kinds of fun stuff. I'm working on putting together full link list and will update when I have it.

What else do we sell?

Xbox Live Points and Subscriptions:

1600 Microsoft Live Points
4000 Microsoft Live Points
12 Month XBOX Live Subscription
3 Month XBOX Live Subscription]
12 Month + 1 XBOX Live Subscription

PSN+ Subscriptions and PSN Points:

$20 PSN Points
$50 PSN Points
12 Month PSN+ Subscription
3 Month PSN+ Subscription

We also have a Free-2-Play store supported by our GameConnect technology. Gameconnect allows you to link your Amazon.com account with free-2-play and MMO accounts so that you can buy things like in game currency, premium game time/subscriptions, in game items, etc. on Amazon.com using your Amazon.com payment options and have this content delivered directly into your game.
Hi Tony,
Can we still expect more games to be listed in the "Editor's Choice" game downloads, or is the list completed?
There will be more.

Do you know if those titles will retain the current discount? CoughBorderlands2Cough

I believe pricing is unknown at this point. Well unknown to everyone except Tony, who has yet to spill the beans. (Please Tony, spill some beans.)

Nobody knows unless you see games with sale dates that spill over into January. So far I've picked up about five codes and not a huge amount I want so good to go!
URGH SO TEMPTED BY DS2 deal but don't want to buy incase other stuff I want goes on sale too. Can't spend too much
You mean the Amazon DS2 deal
Doe scribblenauts have enough content to warrant even the 7.50 price point? I own the 99 cent app version, so I was wondering how it compared to that.
It is STEAM Workshop supported so it'll probably have a modding community busily churning out new content for you. :)

D'oh, Alice: Madness Returns Complete Collection is Origin, not Steam (thanks to the fellow who posted this info in one of the reviews today). I bought it last night... Oh well, not that big a deal as the free original Alice is also included, something the Steam version doesn't include. Still a good deal!

None of that DLC for the game is available on Steam. As with Mirror's Edge I don't think the DLC works with the Steam version of the game either.

Going through this again there are some better deals than I originally thought. I may pick up a thing or two; just wanted to be fair and point this out.

If anyone who frequently posts on this thread want Skyrim for the price I paid, send me a PM. I would prefer selling to someone I recognize and this is where I spend most of my time on CAG.

I ended up getting two Skyrim keys 'cause I bought one off of another CAGer and then had my bundle purchase go through.

Anyone knows Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (NA) , Rage (NA) version means.. is it north america. I activated it on steam. it activated fine.. But im scared now.. is N/A means its region locked ????

The usual Amazon region-locks prevent you from activating the key rather than preventing you from playing the game.

thank you. If region locks prevents from activating, that means i should be fine ryt.. :D :D Lets hope so.. :applause:
Anyone can tell if Scribblenauts Unlimited key from Amazon is region locked?
iinm, the key is ROW, but if you live outside Europe(?), you can only play the game 2 months later.

need tony to explain more thoroughly. =_="

The game will activate as a pre-order and you can only play it when i officially releases.

But here is not the place to talk about region restrictions, for obvious reasons...

Sleeping Dogs currently 66% off on greenmangaming. There is also a 30% off coupon and the final price is 11.90$. In addition to those, there is 4$ cashback or 6$ credit option. I'm pretty sure, amazon won't matching the final discounted price (7.90$) so, buying it..

Tony, is there a Sleeping Dogs bundle (game + all dlc) planned for the future? Also, any chance of it being added to the editor's choice list? Kind of weird that it isn't on there yet.

Recent EA games when sold by 3rd party distributors (except Steam) = will likely flat-out require ORIGIN.
This is especially true on their recent titles since BF3 & ME3.
They been trying to shove ORIGIN (formerly EADM) down gamers' throats for years.

If you want Steam on an EA game, you'll have to buy it directly via Steam....as long as EA's actually selling it over Steam, of course.

Thanks for the heads up, I don't think Amazon or Steam will be able to beat that price so I will be buying it from GMG

Hey Tony, can you match Batman Arkham Asylum for 3.49 and Arkham City for 5.25 at GreenManGaming?

What do you guys think is better? The 2K Shooter Pack (Borderlands GOTY, Bioshock 1+2, Duke Nukem Forever) or the Desert to Sea Bundle (Bioshock 1+2, Spec Ops: The Line)?
Hey Tony, can you match Batman Arkham Asylum for 3.49 and Arkham City for 5.25 at GreenManGaming?
Amazon will have both of those games in a bundle for $10 on 12/24-12/25 and they will also be selling them individually Arkham City $7.50, Arkham Asylum $5

Oh, sweet! With the $5 credit towards EC games, it's a much better deal.

Unless they've changed their policy recently, Amazon won't price match non-US retailers.
Oh, sweet! With the $5 credit towards EC games, it's a much better deal.
That highly depends on whether you have credit already. I really doubt there's going to be more than 2 games I'll use them on, any more than that is just wasted since they don't stack. And that's assuming they'll be on a good sale during January to begin with.

Are the prices they have now going to be the same during January? Borderlands 2 for $30 before using any credit holds a bit of promise. Even if that's not the case, I would probably just use all the credit I've gathered on TWD which and bring it down to $10 if it's not on sale.

Tony - Any chance that you can get your hands on Fallen Enchantress? Also, will the Endless Space deal come back this holiday? Thanks!

It doesn't stack. You can use one per game.
Any chance that Scribblenauts and Darksider 2 will make it to the Editor's Choice?
The list is on the deals page. Darksiders 2 has been there since the start. I don't see Scribblenauts.

I would love Amalur but damnit origin....

Also Tony, could you work on getting War of the roses down to $10, even for a day?

Are the AC games worth getting on PC? They seem like a good deal and I had traded in AC1 and Revelations. I've heard bad things about Uplay so I don't know.

What Amazon region locks? You mean Steam region locks?

The Amazon 'region lock' is not lying about your address...

I could be wrong, but I don't think the 30% off code will work with games that offer cashback
