F.A.Q.S.:

1. Does the game I'm buying from Amazon Activate on Steam/Origin/Uplay? What DRM does the game use?

There are two places to identify DRM on a digital video game detail page:

At the top of the page, below the title:

16hm7a8.png

In the "Product Description" section:

r06ykl.jpg

2. Note on Electronic Arts Games - For the most part, EA games sold on Amazon do not activate on Steam. Most activate on Origin.

3. Note on DRM with limited activations:

Our Policy

4. Sometimes I'll do giveaways.

5. I work with developers and publishers to get fun (or at least what I think is fun) content to share with you all. Here are some examples:

a. Check out the Pax Gameplay videos here: Xcom: Enemy Unknown I played Xcom with Jake, the Creative Director for the game, a few months before the game came out Also, on this page, check out the Q&A, also a community driven event.

b. Check out the interview on this page: Borderlands 2 we did this interview at E3 with Randy Pitchford this year.

c. We've partnered with the ++GoodGames Podcast to feature many of the games we carry. They talk to the developers about the game development process, how the games are conceptualized and managed, all kinds of fun stuff. I'm working on putting together full link list and will update when I have it.

What else do we sell?

Xbox Live Points and Subscriptions:

1600 Microsoft Live Points
4000 Microsoft Live Points
12 Month XBOX Live Subscription
3 Month XBOX Live Subscription]
12 Month + 1 XBOX Live Subscription

PSN+ Subscriptions and PSN Points:

$20 PSN Points
$50 PSN Points
12 Month PSN+ Subscription
3 Month PSN+ Subscription

We also have a Free-2-Play store supported by our GameConnect technology. Gameconnect allows you to link your Amazon.com account with free-2-play and MMO accounts so that you can buy things like in game currency, premium game time/subscriptions, in game items, etc. on Amazon.com using your Amazon.com payment options and have this content delivered directly into your game.

Would be interested in this too. This plus the Kingdoms of Amalur sale... if Amazon has a deal on Anno 2070 at some point I think I'll have got just about every game I wanted when the sales started!
Amazingly, I managed to snag Gods and Kings. Thank you so much man! :D
Wow 1400 games, and you're snagging keys from a thread. And for a DLC for a game you've played for 6 hours . . . it boggles. Might be time to see a shrink dude.

What's wrong with that? Does number of games determine your eligibility for giveaways now? He's probably spent more on Steam than a lot of us if he has 1400 games. The giveaway was open to everyone, he managed to get the code. I don't see the issue.

I know, right? Amazon thread is starting to seem friendlier than the Steam thread.

Yeah what's with that? Been a member for a while but only just started posting, noticed this happen a couple of times now.
I don't have a 2K coupon. Is there any chance of Civ V Gods and Kings getting added to the Editor's Choice list?
If not, wait for GMG. It'll be 85% off on the 30th, and you can use the 30% voucher on top of that price as well to reduce it even more.

This thread is becoming too big, this happens the bigger a thread becomes.

Probably by the end of this sale there will be a new'un.

It's a 1c game, they always go on sale. It was in the last indiegala bundle for example.

The only thing I have lying around is the DS2 Abyssal Forge code, but whoever wants it is welcome to it.

Happy holidays everyone and thanks again Tony!

Omg TSW for $12.99... Yes, please! :D

Wow, EA's starting to go from the most aggressive discounter to the least aggressive. Oh well, now I won't have to feel so much guilt in my game purchases.

Haven't kept up with all the ME3 drama. Is the ME3DD pack considered the "complete" version, or is there another gazillion DLCs and you're better off waiting til next year? As it is now there still seems to be no complete ME2 GOTY version with all the DLCs?
BF3 Premium will be $25...after the coupon :).

Cheers,
Tony
haha, I knew about the coupon, those are the before suggested prices :p

Those prices are before the Editor's Choice credit, right? So Mass Effect 3 would be $9.99 using the credit?

There's a gazillion DLCs for ME2 & 3 sold separately.

35.99-5=25?

I wish the 2K Strategy pack would go on the EC list :D
If only evil EA hadn't sunk its claws into Amalur... I pine for the Steam version!!!
EA is the only reason why you can get a discount on it at all.

ME3 won't be lower than $15? That'd make it $10 after promo credit which is kind of weak IMO since gamefly had it for $8 recently.
If only evil EA hadn't sunk its claws into Amalur... I pine for the Steam version!!!
Even though I have a handful of games on origin they almost don't exist to me. I literally forget about them.

I didn't know Battlefield 3 will get a discount on Jan. If I knew I would have waited for January to use the coupon and buy it for 25$ :(
Hamsters already running.

Cheers,
Tony
Thanks for matching AC3 Tony, it's the one game I've been waiting on.

Now if only I could decide between the vanilla or deluxe versions, and also somehow guess if it'll ever drop to this price in January so I can use one of those dozen banked $5 editor's choice coupons I've saved up.
EA is the only reason why you can get a discount on it at all.
Well, my point is that... let's say some other random publisher had it like Deep Silver. Then all versions would probably be Steam. EA is the 'only reason' you can get it at a discount is because 38 went belly up and self-published the Steam version. If someone actually owned the rights to it -- other than a receiver in bankruptcy -- then you can bet it would be getting 75-80% off sales on Steam. So, yeah, I prefer EA never got involved with it.
