F.A.Q.S.:

1. Does the game I'm buying from Amazon Activate on Steam/Origin/Uplay? What DRM does the game use?

There are two places to identify DRM on a digital video game detail page:

At the top of the page, below the title:

16hm7a8.png

In the "Product Description" section:

r06ykl.jpg

2. Note on Electronic Arts Games - For the most part, EA games sold on Amazon do not activate on Steam. Most activate on Origin.

3. Note on DRM with limited activations:

Our Policy

4. Sometimes I'll do giveaways.

5. I work with developers and publishers to get fun (or at least what I think is fun) content to share with you all. Here are some examples:

a. Check out the Pax Gameplay videos here: Xcom: Enemy Unknown I played Xcom with Jake, the Creative Director for the game, a few months before the game came out Also, on this page, check out the Q&A, also a community driven event.

b. Check out the interview on this page: Borderlands 2 we did this interview at E3 with Randy Pitchford this year.

c. We've partnered with the ++GoodGames Podcast to feature many of the games we carry. They talk to the developers about the game development process, how the games are conceptualized and managed, all kinds of fun stuff. I'm working on putting together full link list and will update when I have it.

What else do we sell?

Xbox Live Points and Subscriptions:

1600 Microsoft Live Points
4000 Microsoft Live Points
12 Month XBOX Live Subscription
3 Month XBOX Live Subscription]
12 Month + 1 XBOX Live Subscription

PSN+ Subscriptions and PSN Points:

3 Month PSN+ Subscription

We also have a Free-2-Play store supported by our GameConnect technology. Gameconnect allows you to link your Amazon.com account with free-2-play and MMO accounts so that you can buy things like in game currency, premium game time/subscriptions, in game items, etc. on Amazon.com using your Amazon.com payment options and have this content delivered directly into your game.

Tony,

I'd definitely be interested in some of those Microsoft titles -- glad to see you were able to add them to your catalog. A bundle of the lower cost ones like Mark of the Ninja, Deadlight, Toy Soldiers, and Iron Brigade would be an insta-buy at the right price point. Now you just need to get Alpha Protocol (SEGA) and Sacred 2 Gold (Deep Silver). Steam keys, of course~

Good to see some Steam games that I don't own yet, on that new list you posted, Tony. I'm looking forward to anything with Deadlight, Mark of the Ninja, and Insanely Twisted Planet... hopefully together :p

Now that Microsoft is on board maybe mention it to them that it's kind of absurd that Fable 3 has a base price of 50 dollars still. Ditto of AoE3's price point, but at least that's a half decent game.

Has anyone played NBA 2k13 for Steam/PC? Thinking about picking it up but not sure if it runs as smooth as it would on Xbox Live. I don't mind if the online community is huge, but is there any glitches that should stop me from buying it?

From what I hear, 2K11 and 2K12 are much better. I'm sure there are ones who will disagree, though.
Yeah, this...

Maybe Tony needs to do a NBA2K11, 12 & 13 bundle? ;)
I'd also love to see the Dead Space Bundle on the EC list. Been waiting ages for a good price on that on Amazon.
Yes please!

I've been wanting NBA 2K11 for a good price. Cheapest I've seen it on sale is $9.99 which is a bit much for a 2 year old sports title.

Excellent news! I've been waiting for Fable III to hit a reasonable price for ages. Iron Brigade is on my wishlist as well. Adding Deadlight now.
Just for reference, Steam had AOE3 complete for $10, Fable 3 Complete (not vanilla) for $12.50, Deadlight for $7.50, Mark of the Ninja $7.50 and Fable TLC for $2.50. Not sure about the others but these are all on my wishlist (for lower prices obviously).
This is where I'd need to be to consider them as well (just a tad lower than these).

I would expect a bundle of those indie games to be no lower than $20 initially. A price I'd pass on but... we'll see what Tony delivers.

I got NBA 2k13 on Christmas Day, the last NBA 2k game I played was on the Xbox about a year or two ago. Since then I built a pretty beast pc and it is insanely smooth on pc. Mostly because more fps than xbox, but overall it just looks better. There are also mods to add in new jerseys and arenas etc. I would definitely recommend it. I have put over 12+ hours into the career mode alone.
Ah gotcha, yeah I was literally writing up a post to get those deals up here as well when I got Ninja'ed :).

Speaking of Ninjas, we just got these games from MSFT:

Working on putting together a promotion on them now, no idea what it will look like yet though.

Cheers,
Tony
Tony, all the games in a bundle (with all associated DLC) for $20 or guaranteed buy at $15.

in addition to a likely bundle offer for those who want to catch up
individual deals would be great too especially for the newer titles
eg I only want Mark of the Ninja deadlight & iron brigade

great additions anyway :whee:

Found a game that would appeal to the younger of us.
http://www.purely-games.com/acne_game.html
Description:
Its very simple to play, just squeeze the acne spots on the dude's face! Yup, puss, blood and stuff is gonna shoot everywhere, but what the hell, squeezing spots is fun, even if they're somebody else's. Click the acne zits on the dude's face to make them go away forever, oh, and you've just 99 seconds to complete your task. If only it were that simple in real life!

Has there been any update on a special for the Battlefield shortcut bundle? Haven't played in a while and don't want to spend hundreds of hours levelling up.

I was curious what people thought I having pre-order bundles. In my mind, the reason publishers encourage preorders is because they A) lock you in when the hype is high, B) can get a rough idea of interest C) to a degree start seeing a guaranteed return and D) allows the retailer to cash in and improves those relations (if you don't think Gamestop etc isn't gaining at least some interest on millions of languishing preorder dollars that's naïve).

Sooooo, it would seem publishers would be interested in perhaps giving higher markdowns on preorders if they knew you were buying their "fall lineup" or whatever. They could package a high profile game with something they feel may potentially not sell as well but that they think is actually a good game (eg: your Enslaved, Darksiders, Raymans of the world). Might get people into new IP easier? Just a thought...
Oh, God - please don't name a PC Bundle w/ either of the acronyms XBLA or G4WL in them! :whistle2:X
That's like PC bundle-naming suicide!
All of those game are XBLA titles released later on PC, but i understand why you wouldn't want such a name. Iron Brigade and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet require GFWL, sadly. Toy Soldiers used to but it got patched and replaced with Steamworks :applause:. The Mark Of The Ninja and Deadlight require Steam by default :applause:.

Been waiting for a good deal on Iron Brigade.

I would likely buy a 4 pack for the right price ^^

I am holding off on Mark of the Ninja it will inevitably be in an indie bundle.

Why would you think Mark would be in an indie bundle? Microsoft is the publisher and they've shown no interest in that scene yet. Shank games have been in Humbles, I know, but those games are partner published (self published on Steam, EA elsewhere) so they have far more control about what they can do than in a case where they're stuck with Microsoft.

I got it preordered from amazon (thanks Tony for the 20%) and it runs smooth for me 1900 x 1200 i5 hd7870 combo. All i play is local multiplayer when my brother comes over. First year i have played a basketball game on a pc since NBA Live 98.
Hey, those look great! That Toy Soldiers one looks pretty awesome, and Mark of the Ninja + coupon would rock my socks.
I'll second Mark of the Ninja + coupon. Been looking for deals for the game for quite some time.

Graphics are way better on PC. You can get 80-90 FPS, easy.

Only thing lacking about the PC version is the online play, which sucks.

do you know what all you get with the shortcut bundle? I was looking in to it as well since I thought it would be nice to have some better weapons etc available but I also dont have the time to sit there for days on end leveling up. After reading up on it though it sounds like the shortcut bundle doesnt really get you much. You get the leveled up weapons but there arent that many, the good ones are only had after completing various achievements and those dont get unlocked with the shortcut bundle. The only things that seem to be worth it are some of the vehicle upgrades from what I can tell

For the X360ce users, Mark of the Ninja was one of those finicky games with that application. Someone uploaded their files at a board (believe it was this one @ comment #20), and I grabbed them and tested 'em and they worked. I've put the files up here if you want to grab them pre-emptively. Deposit them at Steam\steamapps\common\mark_of_the_ninja\bin

Meh online has a decent amount of people, not many tho. But honestly the game is totally worth it for 10 bucks. The MyCareer mode is way better than Myplayer mode from 2k12. Alot of things have gotten very detailed. You interact more and you dont have to worry about updating rosters like people do is 2k12.

But yea MyCareer mode is very amusing.
tony, is assassin's creed revelations gold edition coming back on sale this month ?
+1

Oh crap, I misread my emails. I thought I had 8 coupons, but apparently the search for "1000728511" also brings up LAST year's emails. I have 2 less than I thought. I already used 5...

I'd love to see this too, preferably for around $5 after coupon. I'd also love to see the rest of the AC series up for sale on the EC list too.

It would be nice if Supreme Commander Gold would be discounted like last year.

I already have both Toy Soldiers and AoE3 in my backlog, and would be less likely to buy a bundle containing them.

On the other hand, I'd probably jump on a Fable bundle if it included all the DLC.

An entire pack carrying the pre-III deluxe versions for $15 pre-coupon sounds very sexy.
:bouncy:

saints row 3rd full and alice franchise i think are games i would have bit on at $10(before coupon). saints row 3rd full was already $7.50 so many times on steam(no coupon needed either).

I enjoyed twd for $7.50, i won't call it game of the year or anything the way some are, but it was certainly fun and they did a good job of making it seem like your choices actually mattered, even if they didnt. I'll probably replay it again in 5 years or so.
Damnit, just bought Fable TLC on Steam when it was $2.50 :(
Me too... that's why all I buy from Steam goes to my inventory... until I decide to play it

Would LOVE Alice for 10 bucks before coupon. Instant buy if Tony pulls it off.

And TWD rocked.
