Pre-Order Borderlands 2 from us for 10% off and help me get a tattoo! Yes it activates on Steam!

I am a huge Borderlands 2 fan and I want this to be our best selling pre-order ever. So I've drawn a line in the sand. If, from now until launch, we take 40,000 more preorders than where we were on 7/2/2012 I will get a Borderlands tattoo on my back.

Hey Tony wanted to let you know I really appreciate you :).
Any plans for a sale on The Walking Dead or Mass Effect 3 any time soon? The former would especially make my day.

Still looking for 2 spots in a Borderlands 2 4 pack for $36 or whatever it was with the extra 10% off.

PM me if you can help. I'm not hosting since I don't have the coupon to avoid any confusion. I am 100% in for 2 spots at the $36-38 price (whatever it is), so if you see this and you're hosting, consider it only having 1 spot left. :D

I have a question about the sale on July 28th. The Civ V GOTY seems to be $24.99 alone while the 2k strategy pack is $19.99 and it include Civ V GOTY, Civ IV Complete, and Stronghold. Is this just how it is or am I missing something?

That's just how it is. It was the same way the last time it was on sale, too.

Can you buy the same game from Amazon's DD more than once? Like 2 digital copies of Darksiders 2 for example.

I've never tried it so I just want to make sure. I've tried it in the past on Green Man Gaming and they don't allow it.
I so wish that the Mass Effect bundle was Steam... WHY?!?!
I wish all Valve game was on GOG . :p

Yeah you can. You'll get multiple keys registered to your account, I did this for SF4 specifically and bought extras for my friends.

Tony, question, am I remembering correct, did you have Dead Space 1 and 2 on sale for like $10 before? If so, any chance of seeing those again on the 28th? I assume Origin activate..able.

Cool, thanks for the quick reply.
Anyone have Amazon prime? Wondering if its worth keeping after the free trial.
For the $40 Student renewal fee it's been extremely worth it for me, even if I don't get the streaming library or any of the big perks outside of free two day shipping.

For $80? It depends on how much you order from Amazon, and how many little things you end up buying just to hit Free Shipping at $25. I don't find their streaming selection to be all that great, so that was a non-factor for me. The ability to get any of thousands of products in two days (or one day for an extra 4 bucks) is extremely valuable, but the caveat is make sure that an item is shipping from Amazon. I've had third party orders that claim Prime shipping that haven't even processed until they should have arrived.

At $80, if you're a heavy online purchaser I would go for it.
civilization 5 looked so fun but when i tried the demo i felt that the learning curve was really steep. ;_;
At the lower setting you can pretty much face roll the keyboard and win.

I say this as someone who hasn't played a Civ game since Civ II and still demolished my opponents my first game of Civ V on the easiest setting.

Agreed!

My wife has bought me Amazon Prime for my birthday present for the past couple of years and it has been worth it for me. I don't use the streaming or anything like that, all I use is the 2 day shipping, but when you can find cheap TPBs with prime shipping, that REALLY makes a difference in the price ($4 shipping per book is a killer) unless you are wanting to spend $25 at a time (and I don't)

It's VERY VERY handy around Black Friday time, because when Amazon has the daily/flash/quick deals (like a blu ray for $10) then you can jump right on it and not worry about looking for fillers to make up your $25 min purchase.

Like Geno said, it depends on how much you use it for the price...
Anyone have Amazon prime? Wondering if its worth keeping after the free trial.
I have Prime and I think its totally worth it, I split the fees 50/50 with my sister a week or two before thanksgiving last year. Two day shipping is good but what I really like about Prime is their instant streaming videos, they have the complete series of Dr. Who, Downtown Abbey, Top Gear and other BBC shows (some even in HD). They also just added Fringe seasons 1-3 in HD, Firefly (HD), Stargate Universe seasons 1 and 2(HD), The West Wing seasons 1-7, plus a ton of other shows are added constantly. Their movie selection is not that good though most of what they have is quite old and/or bad. Getting Amazon prime for two day shipping alone is not worth it but if you are mildly interested in streaming video then Amazon has a lot to offer, I mean they have every single episode of Shark Week available that alone justifies paying for Prime (at least it does for me)

Definitely the same for me.

What I did before deciding on purchasing Amazon Prime I took a look at my past purchases. Every order I added $2 (an arbitrary amount which considers average shipping rate from amazon, and amazon's free 5 day shipping), and that came out to be $44 or something. Since it was higher I thought it was worth the purchase (plus it was right before I was planning on purchasing text books which I needed fast). Amazon Prime streaming isn't great, especially if you have Netflix, but it's an awesome extra. So basically in the past year if you made 20+ orders from Amazon (not 3rd party) and you like fast shipping then go for it.
Today is the 27th, so it's a good bet we won't see them until midnight pacific in 14 hours.
Ah, it was my computer's time settings. Somehow it was a day fast.

Still looking for a spot in a Borderlands 2 group buy. Looks like thegreatest wants two spots, so between him and I there's already a group ready to be formed. Remember that it's a preorder, so no one has to pay until it comes out!

PM me!

(Unless you already have it.)

I do. I've purchased it twice actually (once at launch, and GOTY the other time), but both were from Steam. If Amazon would like to help me out I'd do it, but I may as well get the 4-pack from Steam otherwise.

Ah, darn. Well hopefully someone else can bail us out. I'd host it myself, but I'm a little nervous doing a group buy worth $100+.

Understandable, but I'm sure you could easily replace anyone that dropped out if that's what you are worried about.

I agree. At the discount price, finding willing participants should be no problem.

Well, if all else fails I may end up having to do it. Gonna give it some time though, we've got until the 30th IIRC.

Hey...any way I can get that additional 10% off so I can host a 4-pack of Borderlands 2? Not expecting anything, just figured I'd ask. Can't justify buying a third digital copy of the first game :p I have bought 2 of the 2K Strategy Packs from you guys if that helps.

Hey Tony did you get my question about Dead Space 1+2? Just curious if they'll be on sale tomorrow with the other EA double packs.

...hm, checking the OP, Divinity II being on sale is set for another time too, or was that added for tomorrow?

...and resisting Syndicate is gonna be hard with that pack. hell, i'm not even sure I can resist Mass Effect well here and that's knowing that ME1's DLC isn't all there.

Just picked up the Borderlands 2 Fourpack (after grabbing B1 again for the discount). Hope that counts 4 times towards that new tattoo.
