Pre-Order Borderlands 2 from us for 10% off and help me get a tattoo! Yes it activates on Steam!

I am a huge Borderlands 2 fan and I want this to be our best selling pre-order ever. So I've drawn a line in the sand. If, from now until launch, we take 40,000 more preorders than where we were on 7/2/2012 I will get a Borderlands tattoo on my back.
I might be wrong, but I believe if you redeem the PC version on Steam, you automatically get the Mac version. This is true for any game on Steam that has a Mac version.
True, It will show up in your Steam library twice. One PC, one Mac, but it doesn't actually tell you which is which, just a double listing. Throw them in separate categories to be less confusing.
Don't forget that the DLC must be bought through GFWL Marketplace, Minerva's Den still $5

And if you plan on getting the game or DLC, this might interest you, it's relatively recent:

That is the reason I decided against it after reading of people having problems on the steam forums for the game. I all ready have it on xbox so maybe I'll just luck out and win it on steamgifts.

Is there any way to share a Borderlands pre-order code? My friend and I want to do it but tax blows my savings out of the water since it is nearly as much as the discount. If I could give him the code and have him order... :)

not true
this applies if both versions are available in steam store
but at the moment borderlands mac version is N/A in steam

games that support both OS have this icon on top of price tag http://cdn.store.steampowered.com/public/images/v5/platforms/platform_steamplay.png

and most games dont show up twice in library - it applies only to a couple of legacy cases(civ IV)

Wait. Mac version of Borderlands? Since when?
Very interested in DRM Free Divinity 2 but I just bought Oblivion Deluxe during the Steam sale (not redeemed yet though). Is there any point in having both?
Other than the fact they're two different games? If you're a fan of RPGs then Div 2 is certainly worth playing despite the fact that it's somewhat tainted by its use of the Gamebryo engine. Of course, so is Oblivion (Bethesderp loves Gamebryo) but I really don't have anything positive to say about it. Div2 has the better character system and choice and consequences. As mentioned above Oblivion is more open world but, in my opinion, most of it is just procedurally generated/generic.

Thanks for the input on DKS, maybe I'll just get DKS (I love me some DRM free) and keep Oblivion Deluxe for trade. They both look amazing but for the amount of time I have, I think 1 will be sufficient and maybe DKS would suit me better if it is more focused and less sandbox. Do have a Morrowind GotY unredeemed too though and heard you can mod that with Oblivion... dang decisions.

Any thoughts on the Total War Games? I've been eyeing up Shogun 2 forever now but I'm just not sure if I'd want the whole pack or not.... hrm decisions.

RE: BioShock 2. While it isn't as strong as BioShock I really enjoyed the twist and found my second journey into Rapture really fleshed out the whole game world nicely.

I'd say together, BioShock and BioShock 2 belong in a list of games any first-person shooter fan should play. The DLC for B2 is largely throwaway.

If anyone has bought the "Rockstar Classics" (Steam version) and don't intend on playing Bully: Scholarship Edition I'd be happy to buy the Steam key off you.

PM me if you're interested.
From a game play perspective: Syndicate or Spec Ops?
From what people on this thread have said, Spec Ops wins there. That said, it's more expensive, so it's hard to say.

I have the original Div 2 Ego not remastered and without FoV is it worth buying DKS? I thought the game was great BTW.

Bully is a damn cool game, even on the PC port. Like GTA on the school ground and city outside the school. So cool  too cool for school
Does that Sega Awesome pack activate on Steam?

I'd love to have all of those genesis games on my steam account for that price.
Me too but don't think it does. Anyone know?
It should, it really should.

Give these games some achievements and it'd be a sexually good deal

They do not but this is an awesome buy I just purchased this set and it's awesome you get so many great games for the price. They do work with the Xbox controller btw!

cool sale i think i'll grab a couple things

good call bro

oblivion might be the sorriest rpg released in the last 10 years, barring fallout 3 of course
Anyone know if Mass Effect 1&2 will work with a PS3 controller emulating a 360 controller via DS3 tool?
ME2 doesn't have gamepad support, so no, emulating the 360 controller will do nothing. ME1 should be good to go though if that emulator works in other programs.

Picked up a 4 pack of Borderlands 2, that better count for 4 Tony!

Will we get the keys a bit early to preload? Or are we doomed to be chained by our mb/s night of release?

Don't take anything this guy says seriously. In his defense, DKS is supposedly an awesome game, but Oblivion is also an incredible game, and can't be beaten when it comes to modding capability, exploration, sandbox type gameplay, etc.

DKS and Oblivion are quite different games. TripJack just trolls Bethesda games every time they're mentioned.

yes i expressed an opinion that you disagree with, i must be trolling

christ

Anyways, grabbed DKS. Keep up the awesome work with the deals Tony

Good to know. Thanks.

Mehh I'm going just pick up 2k strategy pack even though I already have Civ IV. I wish I picked up Civ V during the steam summer sale. If anyone wants Civ IV or strongholds, I'll sell it for 5 dollars each or 8 dollars or both.

Edit: Civ IV (steam) is sold. I still have the Stronghold Collection (steam) and can sell it for 4 dollars. -ALL SOLD-

Yea, I played a bit of it on the ps2 and I really liked it. I'd get the "Classics" pack but I already own all the games but Bully, the one I really want, hence asking to buy a key off someone.

There's nothing at all wrong with having an opinion, nor is there anything wrong with not liking or even hating a game. However, all you do is say "omg fallout 3 is the worst game ever made" or something similar about other Bethesda games (not limited to Bethesda, but mostly).

It only took a quick look at your recent posts (all 26 of them) to find such glittering examples of unbiased commentary such as "The stalker series is video game gold compared to bethesda's garbage", "F3 might be the worst video game of the last decade", and "Bastion is mediocre garbage that I wouldn't pay a cent extra for". The other posts just consist of you saying "the next game is going to suck" about a few other series.

And if that's not enough, there's always this:
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?p=9670163#post9670163

Like I said, there's nothing wrong with having opinions, but when you blatantly just call a game crap over and over again on multiple threads, that's the definition of trolling. It's also probably against the forum rules, but that's not even the point. If you explained why you disliked something, cool. Otherwise, you're just annoying people when you spew hateful nonsense.

On topic though, I picked up DKS II as well. I love how Amazon completely killed Steam's sale on it by $4. Pretty epic. :applause:

So how do you give a key away? I bought the Civ pack and want to give away IV but if I give a friend the key what's the next step? Does he just go to Amazon with it?

Edit - aww fuck apparently the Civ IV in the pack isn't Steam, I guess impossible to give it away? Lame..
What can I say? I like to keep my posts short and bitter.

Grabbed a Civ 4 key from lilseung, he is a gentleman and a scholar.
If only you could be those things CAG would be a nicer place....why not give it a try?

Just got the strategy pack and if anyone is interested I got the Civ 5 GOTY steam key for $10 paypal must be sent as a gift. Send me a pm if u want
I already activated V on Steam before I realized.

Oh well, you live and learn baby. Still not an awful price for V.
If it helps any, play V some and if you get good at it and really like it, then give IV a try. Even though it's not as new, it's a lot more difficult and more complex than V is. You may still have fun with it.
