From Electronic Arts:

Games that activate on Origin

Per MysterD's suggestion:

Here's the Steam Key Activation Page List.

NOTE: This list is incomplete so if you're unsure you still want to ask in the thread.

I'll be posting this a few times in this thread. I also post this regularly whenever people ask about activation limits with Amazon Game Downloads:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_200205020_times?nodeId=200205020&#times

How many times can I download my games or software?

You can download an unlimited number of times for personal use. To re-download, go to Your Games and Software Library through the "Your Digital Items" link at the top of the screen and click the download button.
Can I download and install to multiple computers?

For video games: Each game manufacturer has a different policy on how many installations are allowed with each product key. If you run out of installations for the product key you originally purchased from Amazon, please contact Customer Service and we will happily provide you with another key at no additional charge. You can install an unlimited number of times for personal use, however additional copies of the game for friends or family must be purchased separately.
Any idea if Anno 2070 can be activated on Steam? I'd be tempted if that's the case.
It can't! Best way to get it on steam would be a 50% ubi coupon
Hamsters, wheels...we just sold through a TON of our inventory on this game and hadn't planned on this, so if you're going to try and jump on this I would do it quickly as the likelyhood that we will run out is extremely high.
Poop, should have waited on Medal of Honor to nab it for free ofter coupon lol
Divinty II will use the coupon correct? :whistle2:#
No it won't, it was not one of the top selling games of 2011. It will still be a stellar price for the game though.

1. Divinity 2 = pure awesomeness! At any price it's worth it!

2. Yes, Medal of Honor activates on Origin; I'm downloading it right now on Origin.

Uh, Medal of Honour is five bucks right now. Free with coupon?

Okay, here's the thing. If I got another key of Dead Space 2 for Origin and mine currently works (multiplayer works good), it means I got a spare one, right? Because I wouldn't mind to trade that for Medal of Honour.
Uh, Medal of Honour is five bucks right now. Free with coupon?
Yup. Pricematch with STEAM's Daily Deal.

I officially have no more coupons [except for the 1/2 coupon on my account for $2.49]. Spent my last one on BulletStorm :D

I'd also trade Dead Space 2 for medal of honor, if anyone's interested (or I'd trade it for a $5 promo coupon).

EDIT: Traded to Nelo Ice.
Any games just like Baulders Gate with upgrading weapons with jewels or similar in that vein? I really want to play a game like that.
Darkspore Might be.

I am glad I passed on MOH earlier in the week as I would rather buy it on Steam (even if it means I have to pay $5 vs free on Amazon today).
And I think many here are dissapointed that Dead Island did not make it to the final week of the sales. This and Deus Ex were there two biggest hits of past fall but while Deus Ex had a great sale earlier, Dead Island did not see the big price drop many here expected.

Actually I'm interested since there doesn't seem to be anything else coming that I want unless Tony surprises us in the last 3 days.
Is Bulletstorm compatible with the 360 controller?
Yes it is, but I am still amazed how can anybody play fps games with 360 controller :)
I know it is becoming common to recap some of the deals on the last days. That might be a good idea for either the last weekend in Jan or the last two days of the month. Thoughts?
Great Idea

How about some limited quantity/few hours deals ? ;)

I can give you a promo code for DS2
I can give you a promo code for DS2
Sending you a PM.

r9800, I just sent you a PM but it's not showing up as sent on my folder, did you get it?

Thanks for the trade Sunghost! Think I may burn my last coupon on MoH unless there's something interesting coming up on 1/29, 1/30, or 1/31.
Appreciate the update. And your efforts!

It isn't confirmation yet, but it doesn't look great for a Dead Island sale. Still working on it on this end but not a whole lot of traction.
Ditto. looking forward to a sale on Dead Island.
Tony will AC:R be put on the top selling games on 2011 list? I would really love to use my $5 coupon on it.
It will not, we shored up our list of 2011 bestsellers in Digital Downloads last week.

Sorry Tominater :(

Cheers,
Tony
Will the NFS Hot Pursuit activate on Origin? And how about Medal of Honor?

Also, is there any word on if Homefront will get a sale similar to MoH?
Yes Hot Pursuit activates on Origin.

I hate when amazon has a deal and then 2 days later there's even a better deal -- e.g., Medal of Honor. Those who supposedly get the 'deal,' end up paying more for it...
I hate when amazon has a deal and then 2 days later there's even a better deal -- e.g., Medal of Honor. Those who supposedly get the 'deal,' end up paying more for it...
You can't blame Amazon for that at all. They are simply pricematching Steam's current deal, not offering a cheaper sale price on their own. Sure, everyone would want their $1.99 back if possible, but the buyers already decided that it was worth $1.99 in the first place. I think they can live with that, right?

Hey Jazyje,

I wanted to make sure I responded to this because this is definitely not how we want you to feel. In situations like this, a competitor dropped the price lower than what we were offering it for previously, we had enough inventory (hopefully) to last through the rest of the day, so we matched, because our policy is to make sure we're offering competitive prices to US based digital distribution services when possible.

The only time we don't do this is when we look at our inventory and think we'll run out within hours of putting the promo up.

The fact of the matter is that we don't know what our competitors are going to do though...

I'd like to pose a question back to you, would you, as a customer, prefer that we not match competitor's offerings so that it feels like the deals we run independently are more valuable?

Cheers,
Tony
Nabbed Medal of Honor for a nice $0.00 after coupon. Thanks Tony!!
Glad you were able to take advantage of the deal :).

Cheers,
Tony

I also just got Medal Of Honor for $0.00! I grabbed about 5 games when the $5 promo was happening thinking I wouldn't be using the credit do to the conditions, I figured all the "top games" would be $50. Boy was I wrong... :p
Any idea if Homefront will drop from $20 to $5 like Medal of Honor did? Any deals on Homefront coming at all?
The lowest I've seen Homefront is $7.50 [including Amazon].

On the last few days, can we expect say a RECAP day w/ some of the BEST deals y'all had w/ the Best Sellers of 2011 on say 1/30 and 1/31?
BTW - I don't know, but I'm still not sure if I'll wind up using my 4 coupons...
Bullet storm is a little tempting, but it was really bad... but but... for 2 dollars...
I didn't think it was bad. I played the demo and wasn't crazy about it, yet somehow bought it anyway when Steam was doing their sale on it last month. Think it was because of how many people recommended it. Anyway, I just finished it a few days ago and I must say I was surprised how much I enjoyed it.

The only con about this service is that it offers outdated games. Got battlefield bc2 and downloaded another 5 GB's for updates! Hope BF3 is up next for a decent price that other companies don't out-sale next week.

That's only the case if you activated the Digital Deluxe Edition of BC2 on Origin, as it downloads and pre-loads BC2:Vietnam [which cannot be played without an additional key]. I'm sure there other patches involved, but the main chunk of files are Vietnam.

I know of this because I ended up activating the Deluxe Edition on Origin [2 days ago] and it also forced me to pre-load the Vietnam files.

Scanned back and didn't see an answer yet... You had said you were close to figuring out if Kingdoms of Amalur was activated on Steam or on Origin, just wondering if you know yet. I'd like to jump on the lower price but really prefer a Steam activation in this case, some games I don't care but since this has Steam achievements and everything I'd like it on there.

Glad you asked this, our version will be the Origin version, which will not activate on Steam.

If the Steam achievements are worth $9 then that is the way to go.

I'll update the OP tonight or tomorrow with this info.

Cheers,
Tony
